JSF, you are being incredibly one-sided on this. You're acting as if people on the right don't do the exact same thing and that's simply not the case. How many times has some goon from your side called me a communist, a faggot, an anti-American terrorist coddler or worse because of my beliefs? Neither side has a trademark on ad hominems.

The right should be saying the same exact thing that I'm saying now the next time they feel forced to own up to the words of some wingnut on their side who puts their foot in their mouth. These mea culpas over speech are a demonstration of weakness while simply pointing out that the words of one don't represent the thoughts of all is a show of strength. If people on both sides just did that, then eventually everyone would learn to stop being such damn crybabies over words. And the sad thing is that you're just going to say that you won't do that until the left does that instead of rising above it as I have.

The hardest part of living with free speech is dealing with speech that you disagree with and/or find dangerous. The best weapon against words you disagree with is logic. Emotional reactionism only adds fuel to the fire.

What I'm trying to highlight is attack on the policies, attack on our views -- don't wish our people ill or death without some reprecussions.

How many Ad Hominims have Republicans, Conservatives or their allies have been called? Calling a Republican a "nazi" or "fascist" should be beyond the pale. We are all Americans.

JSF, my issue is not with your disagreement with the words. My issue is with your weak attempt to tie those words to everyone on my side. Just because the hateful goons from Free Republic can't get book or movie deals doesn't mean that there isn't the same kind of stuff coming from your side. But I would be a total jerkoff if I cherrypicked a bunch of their ugliest stuff and tried to say "hey, look how hateful the right are." You or I might not wish personal harm to come to those on the other side (for the most part) but there are plenty of people on both sides who take things a little too far. Just look at your pal Aurora. That crazy bitch is about one political disappointment away from going up to a clocktower with a sniper rifle.

And as you're worried about hateful words, let's look at hateful actions. While the worst that members of the American far left have done within recent memory is breaking some windows and getting into some scuffles with the cops at protests, members of the far right have blown up a federal building preschool, killed abortion doctors and tried to bomb the olympics. But I'm not going to use these repugnant actions of some of the worst that your side has to offer as an indictment of the entire right.

The Left authorizing a book and a movie about assasination sickens me. Words sometime do equate to reality if someone follows through with it.

As a partisan, I belive in fighting a good fight. As a writer (already partly in Chapter One of Non-fiction book and satrting Prolouge of Fiction), I also understand wods mean things.

Why is JFK's inaugural so inspiring? The words he wrote and the words he said. Remember this equation:

Words -> Ideas -> Theoretical tries -> Reality

JSF, how many times are we going to do this dance? Do the words in books and movies and comedy routines and blogs actually mean a damn thing in the grand scheme of things? People are DYING in Iraq and other places in the world and I am hard pressed to get worked up over words, especially when it's all wrapped up in partisan gameplay. And it is ALL about partisan gameplay. Look how bad the mean liberals are! It's words, and they don't just come out of thin air. Shouldn't you even consider what it is about your current crop that brings such new and exciting levels of anger? Of course not. Because when it comes down to it, partisans put the good of their party above everything.

Honestly, as far as stopping Hillary or any other candidate, it's going to take people with far more influence than us to make that happen or not. Though I'd be happy to keep reminding my readers of the 90's if you would remind yours that the attacks from your side toward her is directly giving her primary votes.

First let me say that my anger over "Liberal hate Speech" isn't feigned or controlled by others. I read the links I posted.

The links included a book and a movie authorizing assasinations of the President; A Blog Post from a large Liberal Blog encouraged a coup; Other links wished ill upon Conservatives and Republicans.

Each of these things were later called "satire" or a "joke" I'm laugh easy, but I just couldn't find the jokes in those links.

As far as stopping Hillary: How do you feel about a cross-party, cross-Blogs, coalition?
