I did this on Saturday 25th April for the promotional poster of our local theatre group. It turned out a bit better than I expected, considering this was my first serious attempt at this style of design. I got very positive feedback on it! So I decided to post a "clean" version here, without the text etc :) This is available as a print on deviantART!

This illustation is based on a character I am acting out in a play. Basically he comitted a sort of sin, although unintentionally. But he feels extremely guilty about it, and everyone else keeps patronizing him, until he gives up his reasoning under pressure.
Done entirely in Photoshop CS3, Time taken: 4 Hours, with 8x6 iPen tablet. No paper, No pencils.

After a long long hiatus, here are some updates :)

I have been a lot more busier, with very little time for my personal work, hence there was nothing to post here. However, recently I have managed to sqeeze out a few sketches and the like...

Uchiha Sasuke (Again from NARUTO) fanart panel. I admit it, I am a Sasuke fanboy.

Okay, I know it looks kinda substandard. But, my Tablet wasnt working at that time... and I am not really used to drawing lineart with a mouse anymore.

This is the same head model as before, only this time she has real eyelashes and better eybrows and other facial features. I was tired of trying out new hairstyles in 3D, it takes too long to render even a preview of hair. So this time I decided to just apply a base texture for hair on a "bald" model, and later used it to paint hair in photoshop. I like this hairstyle, it was quick and easy to paint, and sort of goes with the character I have in mind for her. In my next update, I'll probably be posting the last WIP of her head and most likely it will have a final hairstyle, rendered in 3D. I have already started texturing her body half of which is crudely done, but it still need a lot of work to even post it as WIP. This is the same model in the eariler test. This time I added hair and better lighting thanks to mental ray. Also the face is much better than earlier. Did a little post production in photoshop and here it is! Not perfect but I think its decent to look at. I'll be adjusting her further so its still WIP.

I think i'll make a separate artwork with just a headshot of this model that I am making for a project. Be sure to check it out!

Unwrapping test - WIP

The image is a render of an unwrapping test. That means I was just checking out if there was any problem while unwrapping the model for texturing. It does not have some details like eyes, hair or very realistic skin, but it's still a very good render in my opinion. The model or the textures are by not finalised and they will be very different in the final version. I really liked the way this test turned out, That's why I am putting it up on my blog. feel free to ask any questions and to comment.

Character Study (cartoon)

This character was prepared partly for a project, and partly for practice, after the project was scrapped. I had put a lot of effort into it back then, but afte the cancellation of the project I just left it there.

Recently I found the half-rigged model on some old CD and decided to finish the rig and post it here. The model was prepared in nov 2005-jan 2006, and later I added some improvements over the last couple of days.

This is my first serious effort to draw with my pen tablet, I am not so good with it yet, but I think its easier than paper. After all, I can Undo mistakes without tearing up the paper sheet. Please feel free to comment :)

Hello World (Look, my first blog!)

To the unaquainted, "Hello world!" are usually the first words of output any learning programmer creates. They are synonymous with "hey look, my first ever program!! Isn't it cute? Say hello to the world, Program!!!" Any nerd like me knows them well.

well the gist is, after giving off my biased obnoxious opinions about blogging, I have finally started my own. But i guess i'll be posting more about my work, instead of giving out hippietalk about the cruel world and how unfair life is. This blog will mostly contain previews of my WIPs (works in progress), tips'n'tutorials That I make and some mild diversions,

since my work is involved, All comments and critisisms are welcome.
