Complete the Fleet

Your tax-deductible contribution will help the BHS Sailing Team complete its Vanguard 15 fleet with the purchase of two additional used boats and will enable the team to host district-wide regattas on Bainbridge Island. The team currently has five V-15s and with just two more boats we will be set to invite all of the teams in the Northwest District Interscholastic Sailing Association to sail here for championship regattas. The Northwest District includes sailing teams from Poulsbo, Central Kitsap, Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Anacortes, Friday Harbor, Orcas Island and Portland. Please make your check out to The Bainbridge Island Parks Foundation (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation) and designate that your contribution is for the BHS Sailing Team.

Back from the national high school team racing championship, the Baker Trophy, Bainbridge is now the 12th best sailing team in the nation!

Congratulations Bainbridge J.V. + Varsity!!!!
Bainbridge successfully defended the Northwest District Team Racing Championship title at Orcas Island, following the win at Fleet Racing District Championship two weeks ago in Dog Fish Bay.
This is the fifth consecutive year that Bainbridge has qualified to compete at a national championship regatta.

More info + photos later....right now we've got to plan for nationals.

See the latest photos from the regatta at Orcas.Thanks to our hosts at Orcas for a great day of sailing and a wonderful feast to end the day! The day started out with no wind, glorious sunshine and warmth. After some patience the winds picked up for some nice sailing conditions. The entire Bainbridge team, in three boats, was always in the top five finishers in all of the races. There were some excellent starts by the Bainbridge team throughout the day. Now on to districts coming up at NK on Saturday and Sunday.

CONGRATULATIONS BAINBRIDGE!The BHS Sailing Team successfully defended its NW District Team Race Championship title at Port Townsend May 6 and 7, 2006. This qualified the BHS sailors to compete at the team racing nationals, the Baker Trophy, at Martha's Vineyard, May 2006, where they placed 8th out of 12 teams.
