We got another winter storm last night with another 6" of snow. The temp today was suppose to be
-45 with the wind chill. It is way too cold for me. Good thing I do chores in summer and Hubby does them in the winter. tonight is suppose to be -20 to -25 without the wind chill. Got to love MN!

I am so fortunate that my horses and other critters are 27 feet from my front door during the winter. Here in Alaska today it is sunny, warm at 10F and there is about 18" of snow where it hasn't been plowed or packed down. Days like today make it worthwhile to put up with 40 degrees below zero in February.

It looks pretty much the same here - same temp even. Brr. I braved the drive to the barn today to meet the farrier. Our (wonderful) farrier is better than the postal service - through snow and rain he always arrives. :-)

We're caught in the Washington snow too - lovely to look at, but since we board about 10 miles away, we've got no chance of getting to the barn for a few days. Makes me appreciate having an excellent, devoted barn manager... who lives ON-SITE! I know my guy is well-cared-for and warm, even if I can't get out there personally for a while.

This cold storm thingy came in about two days ago from Canada... and it still hasn't left! I HAD to go take care of my horse today(she's boarded), because the weatherman says there's no chance of driving tomorrow! And ohhhh boy was it a mess!

It was 75 degrees and somewhat overcast today. Supposed to be in the low 50's Monday & Tuesday, then go back up to the 60's. How do you ever get used to that snow? Here in middle Georgia, you can ride 360 days a year. We have wihite sand for dirt instead of the red Georgia clay, so no mud either.
