We have been so busy. Here is a quick summary of what has been happening in the last few months.

In September my brother graduated from Basic Training. He is now in Iron River, MI. My parents were able to go to his graduation after that they came for almost 2 weeks to see there new grandson Nathaniel. We had a blast. We showed them all the sights that we thought that they would like. We even took them to one of our favorite places the Flying W Ranch. My parents loved it. It was so wonderful to see them.

In October David was offered another job at the airport. He is now a Safety Assurance Official. You will have to ask him what he does cuz he really doesn't even know what he does. It is the same pay as ramp but he is getting more hours. The Lord truly answered our prayer in that area. He is really enjoying it. His boss is a Christian who goes to our church. Pray for opportunities to witness.

In November we had a nice Thanksgiving with Dave's extended family. It was nice to see all of them that live here in Denver.

December has been a busy month so far with Christmas Parties and activities at the church. We have truly enjoyed Beth Eden and thank the Lord for the opportunity to serve in such a great church!

JD is now almost 2 years old. I can't believe how much he has grown up. He loves to talk. He is getting better at saying things and loves to learn more words. I have slowly been potty training him. He loves to sit on his big boy potty. He is a great big brother too. He is always trying to help out with Nathaniel.

Nathaniel will be 4 months on the 27th. He is a chunk. He is in some 6-9 months clothes. I think that they run smaller in that brand. He absolutely adores JD and is constantly watching him. I think that I am going to have my hands full when Nathaniel starts to walk! He is a good eater and sleeps through the night most of the time. He is starting to teeth so that has been making for some short nights.

I (Heather) am doing well. Just trying to stay ahead of things. I am enjoying being a mom of two boys even though it gets very tiring.

David is as busy as ever with his new position at work. He loves it because when it is super cold outside he doesn't have to go outside unless he really needs too. He only works 4 ten hour days. He has Sunday through Tuesday off which has been just wonderful. We do alot of family things during that time.

Well, that is pretty much all that is going on in our family.

Dave & It has been way too long since we have updated. I told David that we needed to update but we kept forgetting. Since the last post was in October, I will quickly give an overview of what has been happening in our lives. I really can't remember what happened in November so we will skip to December. It was Jonathan's first Christmas and we had a white Christmas. It was great! We went out with his grandparents for breakfast and came home and opened presents. Of course, JD played with the boxes and wrapping more than his presents. What do you expect from an almost 1 yr. old? Also right before Christmas, David's sister Jennifer got engaged to Chris while she was on vacation with his family in Walt Disney World! They are going to have a June 2009 wedding. They want to finish up school before tying the knot. Shortly after Christmas, we found out that we were expecting our second child. I will be honest and tell you that I started crying. I was not ready for another child yet, but the Lord definitely thought that we were ready.
In January JD and I travelled to Stephenson, MI to visit my family and to celebrate JD's first birthday. My dad is the new pastor there and are loving every moment of it. We had a blast with them and their church family. They are so blessed. For JD's birthday David was able to come out. That was the first time David had used his benefits since working at the airport. It was nice to have him flying home with us, especially since I wasn't feeling well. A mixture of a sinus infection and morning sickness. I will say that the Lord has been very good in me not getting even close to being as sick as I was with JD. That was one of the reasons why I didn't want to be pregnant. About a week after we got home from my parents, David came down with bronchitis. He was out of work between 3-4 days. We also went to the doctor and found out that I was 3 months along in my pregnancy.
In February JD and I took a trip to see my grandma in Michigan. It was a great time since I was also able to see my Uncle Tim and Aunt Laurie at the same time. It was so nice to see my grandma. The last time I had seen her was when JD was born. Her and JD had so much fun together.
In April David, JD, and I flew to Greenville, S.C. so that David could be a quizmaster for SCQANIT. We stayed with my Uncle Paul and Aunt Debbie. We had a great time with them. JD fell in love with their chocolate lab Savannah. I have a feeling that when JD is older that he will be asking for a dog. Also in April, we found out that we are having another boy. We are excited but I am praying that he doesn't have as much energy as JD. The end of April JD and I took probably our last trip to see my parents. It was so nice to get away and see them again. We had a great time. My brother Micah came down for 2 days and him and JD played together for the whole time. My brother absolutely adores his nephew. We took JD to his first farm. He loved the calves, but loved all the dogs more.
At the end of May, we took a road trip to Oklahoma City. David was in his friend Mike's wedding. We also took two girls with us to share the cost. The wedding was beautiful and God honoring. It was so hot and humid and made me so thankful that I am not pregnant in that weather. On our way home we barely missed a real bad storm that we found out later had a tornado in it. We thank the Lord for his safety. Right after our trip from OKC, JD and I took one last trip to see my grandparents in Arkansas. He had a blast just running around outside in his diaper. My grandparents loved every moment of it. We also took JD to the lake and loved it. It was so nice to have some good southern cooking. My grandma is the best cook around. JD also loved my grandparents dog and loved to give him treats. Our trip home was so eventful it would take forever to tell. I am just glad that we made it home safely.
We are now just getting things ready for the next addition of our family. God has been so good to us in giving us two sons. I am 9 weeks from my due date and getting really excited to see this little man of ours. JD is now 17 months and is very active and starting to talk. David is still working at the airport and has interesting stories almost every week. We are still living with his parents so I keep busy with housework. Jen is home for the summer getting things done for her wedding. She has been a great help with JD.
Well I tried to do this quickly. I will hopefully have pictures next time.

Dave & Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06822652796113008074noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33705514.post-179872152618737302007-10-17T16:38:00.000-05:002007-10-17T17:03:38.057-05:00Estes ParkYesterday we took a trip to Estes Park (one of the best towns in Colorado). Yes it snowed yet again. Friday night we had a birthday party for my cousin's little boy. I have some great pictures from it, but I can't find my cable for my computer. So as soon as I locate that I will post them. It was alot of fun watching all the little kids go crazy. It was chaos. It was the first time many in the family got to see JD so that was alot of fun.

Sunday was a wondeful time as we remembered the amazing gift that God has given us. As we consider our absolute depravity, and the fact that even with all we have done, God would send His Son to die in our place. I am overwhelmed. Then to see that we do not have to fear death, because Christ conquered death by rising from the grave. GOD IS GREAT!!

We spent the after noon and evening at my uncle's house in Evergreen, watching the Masters on TV. Once again we had a great time. It was also refreshing to see Tiger Woods look so human as he struggled around the course. And even more refreshing to see Johnson give praise to God for his win.

Well I will get those pics posted as soon as i find the equipment. until then, "Walk worthy."

Dave & Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06822652796113008074noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33705514.post-40733438010597815732007-04-02T11:47:00.000-05:002008-12-09T15:36:49.246-05:00Amazing StoryIf you work at the airport long enough, you will see some pretty amazing things. Wednesday night was a very very windy night. As a result the jets were having to taxi out to the runway with two engines (they usually only taxi with one). We were working on a crj-200 sitting at gate 61 when a crj-700 left gate 65 (two gates away). as the jet turned to taxi out, it turned too sharp and those of us at 61 were blasted with the jet blast (the powerful wind coming out of the back of the engine). I turned just in time to see the two tiered carryon baggage cart with about 300 lbs of bags on it get lifted off the ground, thrown over the belt loader, blow through a poor ramp agent, and slam into the side of the plane. It put a hole the size of my fist in the side of the plane and a huge dent in the flaps on the wing. thankfully the ramp agent was ok. Then on friday at one of the mainland united gates, the jet bridge malfunctioned and tore the wing off of a 757.

things are going very well on the home front. I was able to move to the day shift this week. that is a huge praise. heather and JD are doing great. he is growing by leaps and bounds. He turned over for the first time last week. the first couple of times we missed it. Heather put him down for a nap on his stomach, and when I went to get him when he woke up he was on his back. Heather was able to see him do it a few days ago, so she was very excited to see that.

Since he was born we all thought that JD looked more like heather. However, i came across one of my baby pics. here is a pic when I was 3 months old:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_XgmRDf5LsSo/RhE49XVVm4I/AAAAAAAAABQ/1NXSfTp4ZtM/s320/davidHR%5B1%5D.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5048879284145724290" />

Here is a recent pic of JD:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_XgmRDf5LsSo/RhE6VnVVm6I/AAAAAAAAABg/SxwzPpoHFOg/s320/3_20_07+41.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5048880800269179810" />

Dave & Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06822652796113008074noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33705514.post-85222229123520506752007-03-21T12:09:00.000-05:002007-03-21T12:19:37.061-05:00Yes we are still aliveLife in Colorado has been very busy. I have had several weeks of training for my new job. After a million classes and tests I am finally at the airport and working on planes. Heather and JD are doing great. JD had his 2 month check up and shots today, so needless to say he is pretty cranky. He is getting bigger by the day. We are having so much fun with him. He is always entertaining and keeps us laughing. However, he is beginning to show his depravity. I was mentioning to Heather a couple of days ago that we were going to have a real time disciplining him. We finally got high speed here at our place in Colorado, so this blog should actually be updated weekly again. Sorry I have not been faithful in updating it. However, with dial up it simply took to long to do. At any rate check back each week for more on the Locke family. Here are the newest pics of JD.

Dave & Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06822652796113008074noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33705514.post-20365953780284768162007-02-20T20:34:00.000-05:002007-02-20T20:38:47.928-05:00Pictures and a PraisePraise the Lord I was hired today as a provisions agent with Sky West Airlines. I am sorry about that. The past month has been absolutaly crazy. The final weeks in Georgia were a blur as we attempted to get everything in order at the church for a smooth transition, and packed our stuff (it is amazing how much stuff you collect in a few short years). A special thanks to the Bowkers, Zack, Buddy, and Jeff for their help in loading up the truck. On Feb 5 we headed up to Anderson, SC and spent the night with Heather's Aunt and Uncle. The next day we spent with my sister and her boyfriend who attend BJ and a long treck to Birmingham, AL so Heather, JD, and my mother could fly back to Denver (Birmingham was the closest airport that the airline my mom works for flies out of). Dad and I then drove the rest of the way to Denver. We were able to meet Slick for lunch in St. Louis. It is always great to see old friends. Finally after a 3 day drive, we arrived in Denver and began the process of moving in with my parents.

The time here in Denver has been good. JD is settling in and has slept for 6 hours without waking up the last 2 nights (PTL). We have also been able to get together with Jono and Janae a couple of times. We are very excited about that. We really missed them when we were in Georgia. I was also able to Quizmaster for the Colorado Invitational at Woodside this weekend. It was fun to see alot of old quizzing friends who where there with their teams for the competition.

I have a million (ok so not that many but it seems like it) pictures of JD to post. But I need to cull through them. I will get them up in the next day or so. He changes so much every day. He has been such a joy. Hope everyone is doing well. Stay in the word.

Dave & Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06822652796113008074noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33705514.post-2271339005260834422007-01-16T15:01:00.000-05:002007-01-16T15:05:38.368-05:00New Pictures of JDWe can't put into words how amazing it is to see a child enter the world. God has been so good to us through it all. Heather has had a text book pregnancy, and a very routine delivery. The first couple of days with JD have been so much fun. And he only woke up twice his first night at home! We pray that keeps up! I could go on all day about him, but we know that all anyone wants to see are the pictures. And so here are some more of our wonderful son.

Dave & Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06822652796113008074noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33705514.post-34116611771626248962007-01-15T12:12:00.000-05:002007-01-15T12:40:42.843-05:00He's Here!!Jonathan David Locke arrived yesterday morning, January 14, 2007 at 3:24 am.
