Are you going on a cruise any time soon and hoping to get a little picking in while on vacation? I'd say the most important tip boils down to keeping your guitar with you during the orientation/emarbarkation time and not leaving it with the rest of your luggage that may just be left outside your door. Consider your guitar your carry on.
