Maybe it is best that I cannot do that.A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comBlogger11125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1170184139919919742007-01-30T10:32:00.000-08:002007-01-30T11:08:59.933-08:00Wasted time, bad decisions. Why, hello. It's been a while, hasn't it? After my slow recovery from the hellacious mountainside, I decided that a trip would be most relaxing. I have no idea where I ended up. It was a large city, and there was always something to do.

At first, I thought "This is Heaven if there truly is one." Beautiful Women everywhere, the kind interested in anyone with some amount of wealth. I took up drinking as I never had before. Quite often well past my body's limit of alcohol intake, I would usually retire to a fancier hotel room than I could really afford with a few new friends.

One night, reality bit me in the ass. I awoke to the sound of my door being kicked open. The girl that had spent the night with me was screaming hysterically, making the situation that much harder to focus in. Two men came in and pointed their guns at me. Supposedly, I had made a wager while inebriated to kill a man for a local gang boss or something. Needless to say, I didn't remember it later, so I was now in what they called "Deep shit."

Being forced out of my room, down the street, and into a rattier apartment complex, I was shoved into a chair and told to wait, while 3 of the 5 men that kidnapped me stayed and pointed their guns at me. The other two went into "Ben's office" or whatever.

I stared at the 3 men guarding me. Two of them were much sturdier than I, and the last was probably about my size. There was no way that I could win such a fight. I only had my loose-fitting hotel clothes, bare feet, and a small knife I kept taped to my leg. There was no way I could win that fight.

I waited. I knew that nothing they could do would be worse than what I've been through in my days. I suddenly felt homesick, and wanted to leave this "Heaven." After 10 minutes or so, one of the big guys had to go to the restroom. Now's my chance. Slipping up behind the bigger man, I unsheathed my knife in one smooth motion and glided it across his fatty neck tissue. The cut was quick, somewhat clean, and all I needed to take him down.

The smaller man realized what happened a bit sooner than I had hoped. He raised his gun, but I was already upon him. Unfortunately, my time spent being a glutton was about to kick me in the gems. I tried a terribly awkward side maneuver, and all he had to to was twist his wrist the slightest degree and pull the trigger.

His round ripped through my side. Although it missed all necessary organs, it was an easily avoidable shot, and I felt disgraced that it had hit me. Disposing of him was easy enough, and I decided I should escape as soon as possible.

It all came back to me. Sneaking, using cover, everything. I was out in no time, and left the bodies to rot. I knew that I had only moments to grab my money, but those were moments I couldn't spare. I left it all behind.

So, suffice to say, I'm back. Poor, but I'm back.
And oh, how good it feels.A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1163884080573301992006-11-18T12:45:00.000-08:002006-11-18T13:08:00.586-08:00One hell of a drop-offAfter taking quite a beating in the den of the Pirates, we eventually made it out to the soothing light of day. I plopped down on the rocks and just basked in it. That didn't last too very long, as Cialis, the group surgeon, was as eager as I was to get back. In a move of sheer haste, stupidity, and ignorance, I ran ahead, straight off of the edge of a cliff. Down, down, I fell into the abyss, followed by a sickening thud. Every part of my body in signifigantly poorer condition than before the fall. My body ached, and soon...everything was black.

When I came to, my companions to my last adventure were standing over me, wincing in sympathy, whispering to each other. I heard a few statements: "Do you think he'll make it?" "I've seen much worse in my day. He'll be fine."
I certainly didn't feel fine. After that, Cialis, the group doctor came over and told me to just rest. I closed my eyes, and I guess he began the healing process. I awoke again, what must have been 10 minutes later, to Krista hovering overhead. She seemed very concerned, but very happy that I had parted my eyelids yet again. With much help from the group, I made my way back to the Royal Stag, where I was laid to bed to rest up, and offered many Get-Well-Soon wishes.

When I finally mustered the strength to get out of bed, I walked over to the table where I normally place my effects. They weren't there. Cialis, who had been posted to watch over me, told me that none of my equipment was salvageable. All of it was lost or destroyed. I took a second to absorb that. All of my hard earned treasures, the tools that paved my way to the present, where I was standing that day, are all gone. Just fucking great.

Many people told me that they would help me get it back, but maybe this is a sign. Maybe it's a turning point. Maybe it's nothing at all. I feel that I need to talk to Mr. Grey. I feel it urgently.A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1163619186765534372006-11-15T10:51:00.000-08:002006-11-15T11:42:57.573-08:00Not quite myself.Bears are ignorant creatures. I stumbled into one's den yesterday, and the bastard blindly attacked me. It was only a matter of seconds before he thoroughly regretted that decision.

After the fight, I felt a little winded. Strange, I guess I was a bit out of practice. I can't say I've been really active lately... At any rate, I went to the forests of peaceful Ireland for a relaxing nap. After finding a shady deciduous tree that hadn't quite lost all of its leaves yet, I sat down with the intent of a peaceful slumber. The chilly winter air made for a rather unpleasant, and ill-rested nap, which made me all the more grumpy.

I had finally managed to nod off, when rummaging in the shrubs startled me. Now, one in these realms knows that shrub-rummaging is an everyday occurence, but there was something different about this one. I became alert, yet not too mobile. Suddenly, a blue-haired little creature dressed as a pirate came tumbling out of the bushes and falls flat on it's face.

My intial reaction upon a strange creature entering my resting grounds is, of course, to kill it. I got 80% of the way there, lifting my dagger to meet her neck. Yes, a her. She cowered in fear, and begged me to put it away. Smiling, I did so. Something about this clumsy varmit made me want to learn more about her. She explained that her name was Retsu, and I introduced myself as well.

Up until this point, I hadn't noticed her distinguishing feature. The girl had a tail. Not a tiny nub of a tail like some manx cats have left, but a full grown, bushy tail! Intrigued, I asked her about it, and she explained that it was a result of a failure of her old masters magic.

Upon deciding that the winter weather wasn't suiting me, (I'm much more partial to fog and rain), I suggested that we go to my favorite chatting place in Tara. I led her to the hayloft of the local stables, and we discussed life and all else discussable as the snow blanketed the tiny little town. It was almost pleasant.

Did I just say that? Hrrm, I did. It's true, though, I opened up to this clumsy little raccoon-pirate that I had only just met. I told her all about why I was the way I was, something I didn't lie upon the ears of many listeners before her. Not many at all. The strangest part was that I enjoyed it. I was having fun telling my terrible tales. I wanted to hear hers afterwards! I wish I could understand it.

For all of those who may be thinking it, it's not love. I have no feelings toward little Retsu, except admiration of her spirit, of this I can promise you. She's not my type. However, I feel as though I should be around her sometimes, at least occasionally. Ugh, I'm not sure. One thing is for certain, however...

...in that instance, at the hayloft, I was not quite myself.A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1162407782014943842006-11-01T10:12:00.000-08:002006-11-01T11:03:02.176-08:00New outlooks"You've changed." I was told. Two words that made me think more than any two words have ever made me think before. Had I changed? I didn't think so. I think everyone else is changing. Okay, maybe not everyone, but you catch my drift.

I've discovered that I hate more and more people every day. If that is change, then hell yeah I've changed, but that's due to everyone else changing...I think? Even the people I liked, I sort of hate. It's strange, really. I'm starting to think I don't like anyone. I'm probably right, too.

It seems that there are a select few people who don't really change. I tend to enjoy their company more than most others. One such individual is the despicable Zillah Grey. He's just the right blend of asshole and interesting to make me want to stick around. A fun teammate in a fight as well.

My days are starting to bore me, as each one seems to be just another walk from Inn to Inn, talking to the regulars. The sheer lack of excitement is infuriating. I think I shall invite Mr. Grey to a meeting at the Cafe de la Paix, to see if we can find something to spice this place up.

For those of you who didn't know, I'm a member of Whispering Wraith. Our founder, and former GM Kairi recently left the position, leaving Taliana as the leader. I question my clanship every day. What is a clan other than a name to bind mine to? Can't my name stand alone? Damn right it can.

I really need that Cafe au lait. Damn it, I'm addicted.
A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1160934622860254212006-10-15T10:47:00.000-07:002006-10-15T10:50:22.863-07:00Kairi's IdeaSo my day starts out completely normal, wandering around with nothing really to do. So, I end up with a ragtag group who decide that they're going to clear out a Pirate's hideout. Meh, let's go, I guess. The Pirates didn't stand a chance, and were wiped out in a short time. As we crawled from the underground tunnels, someone suggested that we hit another nearby hideout. I sat and waited, and no one was moving after 10 minutes, so I left. As I was paddling towards the beach, I see Kairi, who tells me of this wonderful idea she has. "You're going on a blind date." she says. Puzzled, I wanted to know more. Like a good blind date setter-upper, she refused to divulge any more information. So, I went walking around some more.

Eventually I wandered across the French Beach, where Kairi, ArchAngel, and a lovely Lady were sitting around, talking. Making sure I wasn't intruding, I sat down in the sand, and just listened. After a few moments, it seemed that they had a secret for the Lady, too. They wouldn't tell the Lady their secret, so she used me as a hostage. She had summoned a skeletal jay-bird, who, after it's Lady was angered, found perch upon my head. The Lady threatned he would do 'his business' upon my head if they didn't tell. After much begging on my part to Kairi, Kairi told the Lady that she was setting her up for a blind date with...yours truly. I was shocked. I did not expect that. The Lady was quick to let Kairi know that she wasn't interested in me, and Kairi almost gave up. However, the Lady thought about it for a second, and, I guess she decided it could be fun. We all parted ways and were to meet at the Jolly Beggar.

I arrived at the Jolly Beggar first, (I've never been one to spruce myself up much), followed by ArchAngel. He looked spiffy in his Tuxedo, and I felt a little out of place...Kairi arrived next, and she explained that my date was to be a bit late. She was only a few minutes late, and after she arrived, ArchAngel led us to Paris, to a nice little cafe. We ordered our coffee, which the Lady seemed to like more than anyone else, and then we placed out dinner orders. ArchAngel and I gave our dates our presents. I had a baguette to start, followed by a plate of something I can't pronounce. At some point, my date handed me a slice of something, saying "Try it!". The food was okay, a little fancy for me, but nevertheless good. (Besides, ArchAngel flipped the tab)

After the food, ArchAngel invited Kairi for a dance. My date and I watched as they swept around the room, doing loops, circles, and all sorts of things. I didn't think ArchAngel would be a good dancer. Guess that teaches me to judge people. After one of their dances slowed to a stop, Kairi walked over to the table. "Why aren't you two dancing?" she asked, pointing at my date and I. All I could do was stutter a little and look away. "Because he hasn't asked me!" replied my date. So, I asked. Bracing for sheer embarassment, we rose, and walked to the center of the floor.

At first, it was a slow awkward movement, which my date quickly noticed, pointed out, and helped to correct. "Just go with the flow." she said. A few seconds later, and a few deft movements of my date's feet to avoid my stomping, we were dancing semi-normally. I even managed to pull off a spin move, although, ArchAngel was better than I. Meh, something to work towards, I guess. Well, after the dance, the date was concluded. It seemed that everyone, including my date, had fun. We all went back to the Jolly Beggar, where I went upstairs to a warm bed.
A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1160252426027433682006-10-07T12:14:00.000-07:002006-10-07T13:20:26.113-07:00Better daysFor some reason, I've been in much better spirits lately. I honestly am not sure why that is, but who cares? Kairi and Archangel are engaged to be wed. Good for them. I have been hanging out with some people a little more. Revenge and I spent a day together looking for some equipment that he needed. Unsuccessfully, however. Also, Munkie and I sat around one day, just discussing life in general. Also, I encountered Lime as she was resting in Ireland. We talked a bit, and she played a little guitar. She's really good at making up songs on the spot.I'm not really sure what else I have to say, so...
A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1159415110393007842006-09-27T20:15:00.000-07:002006-09-27T20:45:10.406-07:00Betray me, heart.Wow, what a day. I hadn't seen Kairi in a few days, and when I did, something just hit me. I guess I should start before this, though. As most of you know, I was in a pretty serious relationship with Serlina. She has been missing for weeks, and my feelings are taking the same route. I just don't want to be with her anymore. As harsh or uncaring as it may sound, I can't help it. Anyway, back to Kairi. After I saw her for the second time this week, I started picturing myself with her. Don't take it the wrong way, I had no feelings for her. (Or did I?) Then, I thought "No, she is with Bind." But Bind has been missing for MUCH longer than Serlina. Kairi has suffered through two people leaving her, and I would feel awful if I were to take advantage of that. So, the third time we met this week, my feelings were confirmed. Everything about her, her giggle, her demeanor, her movement, they all just take me in. I think my problem is that I fall for girls too easily. It's not really something I can change...I just, am me.

Anyway, I decided to hang out with Kairi, but soon decided it was a bad idea when I just found myself wanting to kiss her. I fled the scene, but she found me again. She was insulted, but I explained why. She tried to comfort me, and I walked away again, finding comfort by the Cliffs at Dubris. Kairi came, this time offering food. I accepted, and smiled, but had to leave again. I couldn't endure it. I fled again, this time into my boat and onto the calm waters. For some strange reason, fishing has always helped to calm me down, so I threw out my line, and patiently waited. Sure enough, Kairi was paddling from shore in no more than 10 minutes. She joined me in fishing, but I soon felt uncomfortable. I went back to shore, as Kairi tried to stop me, and found myself in The Falcon Inn. I never did like the place; Calpurnius always got on my nerves, and the tavern wench is about 30 miles past "slut". Very soon afterwards, Kairi came rushing in. This time, a hint of anger rose to her eyes.

"Are you liking me chasing after you? Is this a joke to you?!" She said, clearly frustrated.

"I was just leaving you be." I replied.

"Did I ask you to?" She said.

Changing the focus of the argument, I stated "When you're with me, I want you, and when I want you, you're uncomfortable."

Obviously I was right, as she decided that was a good time to leave. But before she left, I kissed her. I grabbed her and kissed her like it was the last kiss I'd ever give. The only thing she could do was stare. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure what I'd do in her position. Afterwards, I let her go. I'm not sure what to do now. Maybe I should leave Whispering Wraith...

-Confused as always, Luvior.A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1158384405353722812006-09-15T20:29:00.000-07:002006-09-15T22:26:45.430-07:00Recovering MemoriesToday was the strangest day I've ever encountered. As soon as I awoke, Serlina was there, looking cute. We took a walk, and decided to head back to the house. As we entered the Library, a sudden pain swept my body. I've never felt anything like it in my life. Then, as we walked outside, a shadow arose inside of my head. It told me to go into a rage. After I refused, it posessed me! I had no control over my actions. I murdered the tax collector Will and his companions, and then collapsed. I eventually came to, but not without nearly giving Serlina a heart attack. I felt much better, but it bothered me greatly. No more than 10 minutes later, he was back. I can't explain what he does to me, he just does it. Before I knew it, I had my weapon pointed at Serlina. With one last effort, I moved my arm, along with my dagger, into my own gut. That was more than enough to take me out. Thanks to Serlina's care, I survived, although the recovery was slow and painful. I spent two days recovering in the Royal Stag. On the 3rd day, Doctor Fancy asked me if I would like to help her gain some cash. Of course, I obliged, and set off to meet her in Melbourne. It was quite a journey, but I enjoyed it. After we got her some dough, she offered to show me her house in lovely Italy. The countryside is BEAUTIFUL, and her house is so charming. I think it really suits her. Although the rest of my day has been free of mental rages and messed up memories, I can't help but wonder what in the hell is going on? I don't remember anything before 2 years ago...
Maybe this is trying to tell me something? Maybe I'm supposed to be dead? Why else would that thing try to kill me. I don't know...but I want to find out everything before I die.A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1157654285549055922006-09-07T11:16:00.000-07:002006-09-07T11:38:05.570-07:00Yesterday proved to be an interesting day. At first, I was lounging around the clan hall, with nothing to do, wondering if I was ever going to see Serlina again. Then, I heard that Miss Orchid was giving readings. I'd never experienced anything of that manner before, so I decided "Why not?". When I got there, the atmosphere was incredible. I cut in front of Ranmaru, who was there before I was, and I felt bad, but he insisted that I go ahead.

The readings were interesting. I asked her about Serlina, as well as her role in my life, and my role in life itself. It seems that Serlina has no aura of mystique, as I had previously thought, so that's a relief. After bidding Orchid and Ranmaru goodbye, I went to the Royal Stag, and took a load off.

All in all, it was a good day, but a night that left me thinking, and restless.
A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1157394508253072062006-09-04T11:09:00.000-07:002006-09-04T11:28:28.266-07:00One damn eventful night. The morning had just broken, and I decided to join Asterix on a run through Shadowlands. I headed into the forests to find him. I felt good about the trek into the trees for a while, but then I started hearing whispers. "Oh shit." I thought to myself. I knew their language. They were sidhe warriors. "Don't worry," I told myself, "You earned the trust of their Queen." With that, I continued on. I came across a strange building, with several sidhe warriors guarding it. I gulped, and approached. The second they spotted me, they went into a furious rage, and attacked me. I have been hit many times, but that first blow from that first spear was the single hardest hit I've ever sustained. It brought me to my knees. The next attack barely missed, and I rolled out of the way, and sprinted into the woods. I clasped my bleeding wounds, and yelled for help. My steps were becoming more and more labored, as was my breathing. Every few seconds, one would pop up in front of me, and I would change direction. I knew that I could not run forever. I had been running for about 3 minutes when a foot came flying from the trees and smacked into my forehead. It was more than my body could take. In a matter of seconds, I was incapacitated. Minutes later, I arose, in the WORST pain I had felt in years. All of my stuff missing. Sighing, I waited. Then, I heard another humanoid death cry. King Rowane had fallen trying to save me. Luckily for both of us, Asterix and his group came bursting through some bushes. They led us to where our supplies were, and we rested up, and then entered the Shadowlands. We led an amazing run, due to the hitting and tanking abilities of Asterix, Zillah, Jesus, and crew, and also the fact that we had 3 druids. After we cleared the lands of Shadow, we ventured to Shadowlands 2. I had never been in such a bloodthirsty frenzy in my life. After the last corpse of our enemies had fallen, the whole crew was applauding for me. I had done it. Well, not alone, but with their help and with their help only, I had achieved the highest level of experience possible. It actually brought a tear to my eye. It was the point everyone said I'd never reach, and there it was. Afterwards, Master Asterix led us back to Tara, and I was totally exhausted. I went straight upstairs and to bed.

As a sidenote, I recently met a young lady named Serlina. She is beautiful, and her eyes just draw me in. She was a bit flirty the day we met, and the next day, she told me she liked me. It would seem that we're an item. I guess that is all to come, though.

-Luvior
A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33548067.post-1156882469836114252006-08-29T12:55:00.000-07:002006-08-29T13:14:29.853-07:00Moving dayWell, today I moved into Whispering Wraith's villa. Got my own bedroom. It's really nice. I think I could get used to this clan. I like every member I've met so far. Ranmaru is my kinda person- quiet, respectful, and peaceful as well. Aryia is one of the nicest people I've met. I haven't really met Bind, but he seems to be a cool guy. Kairi is just the right blend of spunky, funny, and annoying to make me get along with her. Yes, I said annoying, because I like people who annoy me. Anyway, a new friend of mine, Radcliffe, met me at Quickley's for a run. Kairi led the thing, and we soon met up with JRS, a surgeon who I haven't met before. We walked into the woods for a bit, and Kairi shot her bow towards the trees. I had no clue what she was doing, until, a fierce bear leapt from his woodland home and attacked Kairi! I wanted to help, but she told me not to. Apparently, the beast was too tough for me. Eventually, though, she asked for help. We fought as hard as we could, but the bear was just too tough. We barely escaped with our lives. JRS did an extensive operation, and soon we were feeling up to it again. We charged at the bear, and after a few minutes of intense melee, we killed it. After that, I just rested at Quickley's with Radcliffe, talking nonsense, as usual. I started to grow unusually weary, so I rented a room.
A squint-eyed roguehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15172552269632699104noreply@blogger.com
