It was sweet, cuz a lot of our running was on a gravel road, which was a whole lot more work on the muscles, which is good.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3349531427142080953-6942941997363628511?l=runningpilgrim.blogspot.com'/></div>Daniel Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098020825997830948noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349531427142080953.post-26010359325683133952008-04-08T16:57:00.002-05:002008-04-08T17:01:05.119-05:00April 6So I guess I haven't been keeping up on this blog so well... but I have been running! Sunday morning I did another 20 minute run, so that was a nice easy run, after doing 30 minute runs.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3349531427142080953-2601035932568313395?l=runningpilgrim.blogspot.com'/></div>Daniel Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098020825997830948noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349531427142080953.post-70494227574423997592008-04-04T07:37:00.002-05:002008-04-04T07:40:12.556-05:00April 430 minutes... I have a feeling that we started out too fast this morning, since we were going at a real slow pace near the end. Ah well, it was still an excellent run. Got back a bit later, but thats to be expected, eh? Sunday's 20 minute run is going to relaxing after this.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3349531427142080953-7049422757442399759?l=runningpilgrim.blogspot.com'/></div>Daniel Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098020825997830948noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349531427142080953.post-16151603083674188202008-04-03T17:05:00.003-05:002008-04-03T17:10:14.953-05:00April 3, 2008Well, I can say I enjoyed sleeping in today... to 9:30!! I got my mile in- clocked at 6:44, so thats more than 15 seconds knocked down from last Thursday! Tomorrow I bump up from 20 minute runs to 30 minute runs, so that should be fun!!!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3349531427142080953-1615160308367418820?l=runningpilgrim.blogspot.com'/></div>Daniel Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098020825997830948noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349531427142080953.post-2395877455952800622008-04-02T12:35:00.002-05:002008-04-02T12:40:21.799-05:00April 2I hate to admit that I never ran yesterday. I got up when my alarm went off, but I figured it wasn't worth leaving the room that early just to run a mile, so I went back to bed for another half hour, promising myself that I'd run in the evening. Guess what.... it didn't happen. I did run this morning though- such a pleasant run. I ran with Lucas again, so that was good. The weather is slowly getting warmer, so it was right around freezing. I was pretty much out of energy when we finished our run, but I guess thats a good thing.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3349531427142080953-239587745595280062?l=runningpilgrim.blogspot.com'/></div>Daniel Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098020825997830948noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349531427142080953.post-4129547825337631002008-03-31T12:50:00.003-05:002008-03-31T12:54:06.625-05:00March 31, 2008Despite my healing knee, I decided that I would run anyway. It wasn't that bad, and I didn't want to get in the habit of making excuses and ducking out of runs. Didn't run with the other guys, but I had my mp3 player and listened to a sermon by Ian Paisely. It was a 2 and a half mile run, which I did in 19 minutes. Half way through my run, the drizzle turned into sleet/ snow, but it kept me cool, so I'm happy.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3349531427142080953-412954782533763100?l=runningpilgrim.blogspot.com'/></div>Daniel Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098020825997830948noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349531427142080953.post-42284024745327808962008-03-30T21:44:00.003-05:002008-03-30T21:47:31.427-05:00March 30, 2008This morning I ran with 2 other guys, so that was a nice break from running alone. Hopefully we can do this more often. We started off at a much faster pace than I'm used to, so thats probably a good thing. Not more than 2 minutes after we started though, I tripped over my one leg, and went flying. I got a bit of road rash, but it was no biggie, so I got up, and kept on running. We did the same block around Dordt as I did on Friday, but slightly faster, so I was done in 19 minutes. Still waiting for these abrasions to scab over...<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3349531427142080953-4228402474532780896?l=runningpilgrim.blogspot.com'/></div>Daniel Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098020825997830948noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349531427142080953.post-17304395461372075382008-03-28T07:20:00.002-05:002008-03-28T07:25:04.623-05:00March 28, 2008I ran a 2.4 mile block around Dordt College today for my 20 minute run. At 24 degrees, this was probably the coldest run I have ever done. I know... 24 degrees is nothing. I did it with shorts (as I still have never gone out to get track pants or anything of the sort), but did have the sense to put on a sweatshirt and hat. No gloves, so my hands were rather numb when I was done.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3349531427142080953-1730439546137207538?l=runningpilgrim.blogspot.com'/></div>Daniel Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098020825997830948noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349531427142080953.post-57935750582717818652008-03-27T11:10:00.004-05:002008-03-27T11:16:32.475-05:00March 27, 2008I got up at 9 this morning to find everything white again. Hopefully this will be our last snow for the winter. I made my way over to the indoor track and ran my mile. I ran this one in 7:04, down 22 seconds from my last time (7:26). I guess the first few mile times will drop in rather major jumps, as my body gets used to running again.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3349531427142080953-5793575058271781865?l=runningpilgrim.blogspot.com'/></div>Daniel Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098020825997830948noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3349531427142080953.post-49772092699951493942008-03-26T07:27:00.002-05:002008-03-26T07:33:48.110-05:00March 26, 2008Although I'm not known for being an early riser, I was able to get up for my run at 6 AM. I was quite surprised to find that after I had gotten over the initial grogginess, it was quite an invigorating experience. It was 31 degrees, so I wore my usual shorts and t-shirt, and threw a light hoodie sweatshirt on as well. My hands were quite numb by the end, but I'm pretty sure I'll survive ;). I'm definitely looking foreward to warmer weather, though. I ran slightly over my scheduled 20 minutes, getting back in 23 minutes instead. What a brilliant start to a morning!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3349531427142080953-4977209269995149394?l=runningpilgrim.blogspot.com'/></div>Daniel Palmerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16098020825997830948noreply@blogger.com0
