It was 1975, I was 17 years old, in a new high school, and I just made two new friends, Thom and Dan.<br /><br />The first Fogelberg albums I bought were Home Free and Captu<img src="http://www.danfogelberg.com/albumhomefree.jpg" align="right" />red Angel, then Souvenirs, and finally, Netherlands. His later works were fine, its just that his first 4 albums were the ones I loved the most.<br /><br />His first album cover featured a self portrait. It wasn't an egotistical portrait, he looked like an average 17 year old kid in the 70s, with long hair, just like me in 75. He also drew the Captured Angel on his third album.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.danfogelberg.com/recimg/albumsouvenirs.jpg" align="right" />Dan was sentimental. His music reflected his sentimentality. Dan's second album, Souvenirs, played our sentimental hearts.<br /><br />His song, Illinois, was one I could relate to cause I grew up in Illinois, and was away from home. "And I need a breath of that Sweet country air, Illinois-I'm your boy."<br /><br /><img src="http://www.danfogelberg.com/recimg/albumnetherlands.jpg" align="left" />The song, Netherlands, has new meaning to me today. "One road was simple, acceptance of life, the other road offered sweet peace."<br /><br />Sweet peace Dan. Your vision became your release.<br /><br />Visit <a href="http://www.danfogelberg.com/">Dan Fogelberg's website</a><div class="blogger-post-footer">John Beagle, <a href="http://www.xponex.com">Xponex Web and Media Services<a/></div>John Beaglehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05297159469160977091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33181758.post-58489652296110723952007-12-14T11:19:00.001-08:002007-12-14T11:19:15.197-08:00Plasma Video Wall Friends<style type="text/css">.flickr-photo { border: solid 2px #000000; }.flickr-yourcomment { }.flickr-frame { text-align: left; padding: 3px; }.flickr-caption { font-size: 0.8em; margin-top: 0px; }</style><div class="flickr-frame"> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32575263@N00/2095719366/" title="photo sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2181/2095719366_b3c22374d7.jpg" class="flickr-photo" alt="" /></a><br /> <span class="flickr-caption"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32575263@N00/2095719366/">Video Wall</a>, originally uploaded by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/32575263@N00/">John Beagle</a>.</span></div> <p class="flickr-yourcomment"> Jim and Raj Jain are the father and son team from ICC. <br /><br />ICC is one of Rentacomputer.com's largest trading partners. In this photo, Jim and Raj are standing in front of a 9 panel video wall that is worth over six figures yet rents for less than five.<br /><br />Video walls are the ultimate in plasma display technology. Each panel is equal to a 42" plasma flat screen without the bezel. <br /><br />The most common configuration is with 4 of these panels, but any number of panels can be used in conjunction with one another. Yes you could do an entire wall with these panels. <br /><br />A special software program resides on a laptop computer so all images appear as one large image. <br /><br />For more information on renting plasma video walls, please visit Rentacomputer.com's <a href="http://www.rentacomputer.com/rentals/video-wall-samples.asp">Plasma Video Wall Rental Information Page</a></p><div class="blogger-post-footer">John Beagle, <a href="http://www.xponex.com">Xponex Web and Media Services<a/></div>John Beaglehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05297159469160977091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33181758.post-54680682221445329572007-12-08T08:18:00.001-08:002007-12-08T10:13:10.153-08:00Webmaster Radio Chicago SES<div class="flickr-frame"><a title="photo sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32575263@N00/2094948649/"><img class="flickr-photo" alt="" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2320/2094948649_a49009444b.jpg" /></a><br /><span class="flickr-caption"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32575263@N00/2094948649/">Webmaster Radio</a>, originally uploaded by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/32575263@N00/">John Beagle</a>.</span></div><p class="flickr-yourcomment">Danny Sullivan speaks with <a href="http://www.webmasterradio.fm/">webmasterradio.fm</a> co-founder Daron Babin during a trade-show at the SES Conference December 2007 in Chicago, Illinois.<br /><br />Both Daron Babin and <a href="http://daggle.com/">Danny Sullivan </a>were speakers at the Search Engine Strategies conference and expo.</p><div class="blogger-post-footer">John Beagle, <a href="http://www.xponex.com">Xponex Web and Media Services<a/></div>John Beaglehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05297159469160977091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33181758.post-21531755273959275572007-11-29T11:53:00.001-08:002007-11-29T11:53:32.328-08:00Blue Ridge Mountain<style type="text/css">.flickr-photo { border: solid 2px #000000; }.flickr-yourcomment { }.flickr-frame { text-align: left; padding: 3px; }.flickr-caption { font-size: 0.8em; margin-top: 0px; }</style><div class="flickr-frame"> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32575263@N00/2074477924/" title="photo sharing"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2251/2074477924_60f5996b4b.jpg" class="flickr-photo" alt="" /></a><br /> <span class="flickr-caption"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32575263@N00/2074477924/">Blue Ridge Mountain</a>, originally uploaded by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/32575263@N00/">John Beagle</a>.</span></div> <p class="flickr-yourcomment"> The drive throught the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina is beautiful this time of year.</p><div class="blogger-post-footer">John Beagle, <a href="http://www.xponex.com">Xponex Web and Media Services<a/></div>John Beaglehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05297159469160977091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33181758.post-75359329425269531842007-10-29T09:38:00.001-07:002007-10-29T12:38:41.197-07:00Waterboy John Beagle<div class="flickr-frame"><a title="photo sharing" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32575263@N00/1798747165/"><img class="flickr-photo" alt="" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2217/1798747165_74a6405170.jpg" /></a><br /><span class="flickr-caption"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/32575263@N00/1798747165/">Waterboy John Beagle</a>, originally uploaded by <a href="http://www.flickr.com/people/32575263@N00/">John Beagle</a>.</span></div><p class="flickr-yourcomment">Here I am at the October 28, 2007 game, Steelers vs Bengals.
