This one is inspired by an artist smock. I liked the idea of an old, worn out, oversized, comfy shirt worn as a work shirt. I imagined that the buttons would have all been replaced and it would button crooked and be misshapen. Well, that was the inspiration, the result is a shirt that I am fairly happy with, it's really comfortable and easy to wear.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/32972092-2215984559570159804?l=jsult.com%2Fblog%2Fheyboo.html'/></div>hey boohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10213029660576191569noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972092.post-37389979788834919132007-05-21T20:46:00.000-07:002007-05-25T20:08:05.169-07:00Sophomore Project III<a href="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/red.dress-744665.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/red.dress-744660.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a href="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/swatch-744738.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/swatch-744729.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />Otherwise known as the 'red dress' project. We used the color red to support the Go Red For Women campaign. Ten of us were invited to the charity luncheon here in town where our department head, Margie, spoke about her experiences with heart disease. We also had our photograph taken with the guest speaker, Charyl Ladd. <br />Next project is children's wear and Scout will be modeling for me.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/32972092-3738997978883491913?l=jsult.com%2Fblog%2Fheyboo.html'/></div>hey boohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10213029660576191569noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972092.post-1165164870215408392006-12-03T08:43:00.000-08:002006-12-03T08:54:30.303-08:00Christmas crafting<a href="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/owls-737426.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/owls-733461.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a href="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/hexagons-746035.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/hexagons-741933.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a href="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/yarnballs-712852.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/yarnballs-709143.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />I have been busy whipping up Christmas ornaments and stuffed mascots for a Christmas craft show at 1305 Gallery on Main Street. Of course, now I am behind on items for my Etsy store but I am also running low on inspiration. <br />My skirt for the end of term was a huge hit. I had to turn it in for the final inspection so I have no photos of it yet, but I will post some as soon as I get it back.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/32972092-116516487021540839?l=jsult.com%2Fblog%2Fheyboo.html'/></div>hey boohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10213029660576191569noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972092.post-1161050503829582472006-10-16T18:55:00.000-07:002006-10-16T19:01:43.836-07:00Mascot Progress<a href="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/littlelady-733017.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/littlelady-728201.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a href="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/fawnmain-743951.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/fawnmain-737565.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />http://www.blogger.com/img/gl.photo.gifMy friend Susan brought some Japanese craft books with her on her last visit home. I devoured the colorful pictures and intricate patterns and set to work to make some mascots for my shop. I have made a few and love the hand sewn quality and texture to the stuffies. I need to make the designs my own by finding my own style with them, I want to use less felt and more fabrics like the ones I used to create this Fawn. I'll keep you posted on my progress!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/32972092-116105050382958247?l=jsult.com%2Fblog%2Fheyboo.html'/></div>hey boohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10213029660576191569noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972092.post-1161017624200680812006-10-16T09:43:00.000-07:002006-10-16T09:53:44.246-07:00F.F.W. It took forever to knit all of these little rings of wool and then I almost ruined it by trying to felt it in the washing machine. It would have been fine had I put it in a pillowcase first. Lesson learned. With a little extra attention, it looks fine and he loves it. Of course watching how hard I worked on it, I think he's afraid to use it!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/32972092-116101762420068081?l=jsult.com%2Fblog%2Fheyboo.html'/></div>hey boohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10213029660576191569noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972092.post-1158552352863116462006-09-17T20:59:00.000-07:002006-09-17T21:08:06.270-07:00My etsy shop is up and running<a href="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/cakes-775667.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://jsult.com/blog/uploaded_images/cakes-771335.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />I finally posted a few items in my shop. I have had this piece of pink linen for years but have never been able to settle on what to make with it. I'm using a piece of vintagy floral trim from Reprodepot.com (a few seasons ago) for the straps which will button at the shoulder. I can't wait to try it out.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/32972092-115616783391275561?l=jsult.com%2Fblog%2Fheyboo.html'/></div>hey boohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10213029660576191569noreply@blogger.com0
