We have been busy ladies over at Debbie Daanen Photography...

Ashley went out to Beerntsen's Candies in Green Bay, http://www.chocolatecandies.net/htm/contact.htm, to do some photo for their website...YUM...is your mouth watering yet?

Debbie headed over to the Lenz's home in Freedom to shoot a special senior photo of Allie and her horse---just a little sneak peak of our favorite shot!

Then on Saturday, Ashley spent the day in Menasha at the Sun Runner event, and despite the heat and a broken tent, had a wonderful time. A special thanks to Katie and David for helping out at the event; you guys are the best! :)

A Chilly Day at Bark in the Park

Happy 80th Birthday Fox Valley Humane Association!!! You really know how to throw a party... just check out this 'party animal!'

It was a chilly day out at the FVHA's Bark in the Park this weekend. We had a wonderful time as usual and the event was once again a great success. We love spending the day with the doggies and everyone that come out and despite the bone-chilling wind and scatter threats of rain. We could literally see our breath that morning! Thank you to all our four-legged and two-legged friends that come out to see us and participate in Bark in the Park 2009!

A special thanks to Debbie's nephew, Derrick, who came out to help with the event, and as always, our friend, Cindy, our number one on the D.D. Road Crew! Even FANG came out to do a little barking!!! :)

Come out and see us at the Thrivent grounds on Saturday for the Fox Valley Humane Association's annual Bark in the Park. We work very closely throughout the year with the FVHA and Bark in the Park is one of their biggest events. Bring your pet and walk the walk, or just come hang out for the morning and see all the little furry guys dressed up in their costumes. This year's theme is a Birthday Party, as the FVHA is celebrating 80 years...so HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOX VALLEY HUMANE ASSOCIATION!!! See you Saturday!

She got to meet a bunch of wonderful people and we hope you all had a great time. Freedom High School Graduation...

After a long day shooting baseball photos on Saturday, Ashley and her BF Katie (you may recognize her from out on the road with our D.D. Road Crew) went to the Keith Urban Concert in Green Bay. If you know Ashley, you know she LOVES Keith. She has seen him in concert about 6 or 7 times now and each times she threatens to run away with him--she's still here, so you can see how that worked out! If you want to see the girl melt, get her within inches of Keith Urban and she's a puddle... Needless to say the girls had a great time!

As some of you may know, recently Debbie's Father has been battling illness, and it has been an emotional roller coaster for their entire family.

We just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and know that it means the world to the entire Daanen clan to have all of you standing behind them in there time of need.

Also because her Father's illness struck so quickly, several of you have stepped forward and offered to help Ashley out at the studio with this or that, and to those of you have, as well as those of you who called to check in on her, we really appreciate it-things can get a bit crazy with only one person handling everything!

The good news is that Deb's Dad seems that he may pull through and be OK, at least for the time being. He is a fighter, that is for sure!

Thank you again to all of you for your support, help, thoughts and prayers...Debbie and Ashley are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and clients to want to become involved in your personal struggles. Thanks again!!!! We love you! :)

The Weekend...Work, work, work and a little play!

We had quite the busy weekend....and the fun started at the "Shall We Dance" event with the girls. We had a lovely evening of dinner and dancing-thank you to the ladies of Bouwer Printing for the invite! We headed out for Kasa soccer in the morning and ended the day with the Appleton Prom, just to get up and go for Kaukauna Baseball photos on Sunday morning--so yeah, a busy weekend, but fun filled; never the less.

KASA Soccer 2009

It's that time of year again, when we dedicate your weekends to our local sports organizations...despite the rain we were out and about photographing the boys and girls of KASA soccer and we will be at it again this weekend! We have been with the KASA organization for years and look forward to this shoot each year-we always have a great at this event. Thank you to Dave Andre and Amy VanAsten and of course, KASA's own, Jodi Avery for all your help this past weekend. We thought we would share a few photos that Dave snapped of the girls in action. Once again, Debbie Daanen Photography will be the official photographer of the Appleton Public Schools "Arabian Nights" Prom 2009. You will see listed here, some prom poses as well as the price list for additional prints. Remember, the school provides each student with a FREE 4X6, so stop and see us--it is all taken care of...all you need to do is come and have your photo taken that night!!! Attached to your prom ticket, you will find a photo card, fill out the back side with your information and return it to us the night of your prom. By the Tuesday after the dance, the photos will all be available to view and make purchases under the events tab or our website. The password to view the photos is: appleton (no capital letters). Look for our poster at your school. SEE YOU AT THE PROM!!!
