I finished up the regular cyclocross season with a weekend of cold racing in Rhode Island.  Although there was no snow to practice in, it was cold enough to remind me of the value of using toe warmers in my shoes so I can somewhat feel my feet by the end of the race.  Saturday was a mudfest and people were crashing all over the place.  I got taken out by a falling rider at one point, but

Arley wrapped up the Mid-Atlantic cross season at the MAC Finals in Reston, VA on Sunday.  As luck would have it, the Mid-Atlantic's first snowfall of the year occurred less than 24 hours before the race, which set the stage, once again, for a muddy sloppy day.  The course featured all kinds of challenges; mud, ice, snow, rocks, roots...the makings of a very technical race.  Line was everything.

Arley here.  This weekend I raced Beacon CX and HPCX, held in Bridgeton and Jamesburg, NJ.  Beacon CX is famous for the "Amphitheater of Pain" which features wooden tiers that do not favor those of the "shorter" persuasion, like myself.  Other than the amphitheater, I really do like the course.  It winds through the woods, and when its dry, the surface is super fast.  Despite some drizzle on and

The FM.24 is only one of the best races I have ever participated in!! It is a 24 hour Urban Relay and Scavenger Hunt, a.k.a. alley cat, in downtown Atlanta.
