I thank you, my Creator for making me in your image, for giving me my desires to seek you in all things. I praise you for the desire in my heart to write, whether one reads or not. I can't deny it Father, I'm totally elated, to think me, Gloria, a nothing, should pen something that one should find worthy of consideration. I thank you for filling me with inspiration, for showing me the world through your eyes, if only in glimpses I see, it is you that points them out. If I should write something that is read, then let it be to inspire, to lead someone to seek your face, to do great things for your Kingdom.

Search my heart, I am your lowly servant, a humble child struggling in this vast world of uncertainty and tribulations, a world of sorrows and a world of greed and overblown egos. Keep me in your embrace and shine your lamp that my way shall be lighted with your peace and guidance. Use me as you wish. Help me to see my faults and short-comings and deliver me from my temptations and selfishness. I am human and born into rebellion and self-centeredness. Cleanse me from these things that my heart shall be pure and fit for your habitation.

Dwell within me that I might always walk where you lead. Don't let me fall by the wayside, protect me from myself. I surrender to you all that I have which belongs to you anyway for anything that I posses, be it material or immaterial, is yours already, for these things were given by you in the beginning. Let me always learn my lessons that you so patiently teach. Let me somehow be able to reach out into this world and shine your light that those groping can see your loving arms. I feel so happy inside now, so proud, yet not prideful, but a feeling of worth and self-esteem, a feeling that has in the past been something I just didn't seem to find. I know that yesterday I felt one way, now I feel another, and only you know what tomorrow brings. So many times I am ashamed of my actions, I let my conceit and arrogance guide me instead of listening to you. Keep me in constant reminder of you and the Love you give. Draw me ever so close, ever closer, from day to day. Let my breath be filled with you, let all I do somehow bring you praise.

I am nothing without you, and without you I am lost in darkness. I know this darkness and I beg to you, keep me always in your light, for desolation is too much for me to bear. All I really want is your will to be done. Give me the words, the actions, the virtues that I need to always bring about peace and glory to your Kingdom. I pray that I never intentionally offend anyone and that I'm always available for your use. I am at your disposal. I stomp the ground, I bang my head and beat my chest, please have mercy on me, a wretched sinner.

I laid shivering in the dark
with the roar of the jetted propulsion.

I laid trembling in the dark,
in the cold,
afraid to look.

The anger of the jetted propulsion grew louder,
it was as if the very core of the engines were angry.

And as I lay there, refusing to move
the engines grew louder and louder.

The more I refused
the angrier they became,
the louder they became.

The pressure in my head,
the sudden drop in temperature,
and I shivered ...
alone,

there would be a lynching at DC
America has no fucking power
America isn't the most powerful nation in the world
America is like an aging pedophile
dirty, decrepit suffering from dementia.
So buried in a life of lies and deceit
that even Halliburton couldn't dig her out.
A fascist state with a state church
licking the gangrenous drops left
in the bed of a corporate whore.
Government agents and citizen spies
feed on innocent people with patriotic pride.
Decaying minds wrapped in layers of cortisol block justice
as the dead in New Orleans swell in the heat
Like Delgado cheating in the bull pen
they flaunt their voice of god
Doctors forming alliances designed to bankrupt medicare
force caring individuals to their graves
New Agers float around in delusions of light bubbles
