Waiting for the Bomb - a short film, directed by Toni Occhiello and scored using Stephen's composition, Metaphors and Contrasts, was recognized as BEST SHORT FEATURE OF THE YEAR by La Cicogna Cultural Association, Rome, Italy. The screening which led to the award was July 14, 2008 at a festival in Rome. The award will be presented to maestro Occhiello on Dec. 8, 2008 also in Rome.

Stephen's music is being used in a theater prodcution at Zombie Joe's Underground in North Hollywood, California. This theater does very edgy, uncompromised theater art. Les Amis Musicalles, a trio consisting of Cindy Ellis, flute, Jeanne Strocki, violin and Jannet Lakatos, viola, commissioned Stephen to write five arrangments for them. Stephen has just completed two arrangements for Meixican artist Tassinari who is a protege of Placido Domingo.
