I saw someone fall down the stairs this morning due to the steps beginning to crumble on the side by the bike ramp. Turns out the touch-up wasn't really complete. These staris are dangerous!

I traverse this bridge every day on my to and from work. I have always felt the the ship like nature of the bridge lended itself to the rust. The stone is not a good solution. The granite they have chosen is very slippery and I have fallen several times when the stairs are wet.

Also like the stairs in the Sears/Whole Foods park...

Also like the stairs in the Sears/Whole Foods parking lot in Cherry Creek. Really, what are they thinking painting metal that is going to rust white?

Yippie for granite! That will look so fancy...why someone would design one material on one side and another material on the other is a mystery to me!

Thank god. On the way to work earlier this summer I saw the stairs and I cringed at the fact they were only a few years old and rusting. They reminded me of the DIA stairs around the parking garages; those things are horrible looking. Is it just failure by enigneers and architects to foresee painted, metal stairs rusting? Or is it just poor quality metal...
