Easter Bunny Came Early...?

I arrive home today to a Bunny in my backyard in a cage. Why is this ya may ask?...Well If you knew my husband at all, This would explain it....He will try and save all the animals in the world if he could.

Its very tame, and gentle and oh my god!.....Huge....I don't really know alot about rabbits but he is real nice. And apparently was someones pet.

Now to find a home for this new furry friend.

We are such a magnet for stray animals of all kinds.

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. - The owners of Yoda - a cat with four ears - could use a couple extra hands to answer their telephones.
Ted and Valerie Rock said they've been inundated with television offers and media inquiries since their son posted a photo of their smoke-colored cat on a w ebsite. That turned the four-eared feline from a suburban animal oddity into an instant Internet celebrity.
The Rocks, from the Chicago suburb of Downers Grove, have fielded calls from "Good Morning America," "Fox News" and "The Tyra Banks Show."
The cat's photo has graced the London Guardian and a British tabloid.
The Daily Mail said if Batman had a cat, it would be Yoda.
"It's amazing," Ted Rock said. "For the past few days, our phone has just been ringing off the hook."
Yoda's extra ears give him a hint of a devilish appearance. The Rocks said they found him in 2006 while watching a Chicago Bears game at a Blue Island bar.
Some in the bar were passing the then-eight-week old kitten around, making fun of his extra set of ears, mocking his appearance and calling him names such as "Devil Cat" and "Beelzebub."
It wasn't quite love at first sight, but the Rocks felt sorry for the cat and offered to adopt the kitten from the bar's owner, who kept the animal caged atop the bar for his customers' amusement.

I have been watching the infomercial on this item. So of course now I want it. So went to the showcase store to see if I could purchase it. After the fantastic party for Aunt Clara we celebrated a cousin's birthday. Us city people call it the "bush" due to the fact there are no other homes around perhaps?.....Yet it is beautiful.They have a lovely log cabin . Which I watched being built about 21 years ago.

Here is the scenery as you walk out the front door and the mountain around them. This is about a kilometer from Aunt Clara's house.

These pictures seem somewhat dark due to the fact there is not alot of light in a cabin.And what eles is there too due when ya stay in a motel population 3000??....what eles.....but this.........Play the slot machines..... hee hee

A Century Of Memories

On this day in 1908 a wonderful woman was born. Her name is Clara Sloan. She never married yet had so much to give. She was a caregiver to her parents and her brother Barney . Then she was alone. She had many brothers and sisters but is the last one . She is my grandmother's younger sister with whom she was extremely close with. She was always like a grandmother to me. She is adored by many many nieces and nephews and all of their families. So needless to say she was never really alone.

This is a day in history for our family. And along with many cousins we were able to attend a most wonderful celebration with her.

Here is a little dialog of a conversation she had....

Kathy-"Happy Birthday Aunt Clara"" your 100!

Aunt Clara "they say I am 100 but I don't think I'm 100 but I will just go along with it"

She is so very cute and as always ever so gentle.

This was a very emotional time for me.Since we were there last year to celebrate her 99th birthday she has changed allot. She is allot more fragile and her mind is just not where it once was.

She didn't know who I was this time, we would talk over and over and just when you think she knew who you were she say....

"And who's your mother"?

My cousins and I would try and laugh about it to hide the feelings we had over it. Which was helpful to me...... this cry baby.

My cousins Kathy, Jackie and her husband Johnathan really enjoyed our short time with her.

I am so grateful for all the memories she has given to me and everyone who she has touched.

Tim and I placed this Ad in our spectator to bring along with us to show her.

Preparing for A 100th Celebration

Up and coming is my Great Aunt's 100th Birthday!!

As we prepare, I am in contact with relatives I haven't even met before.

Which is pretty cool. My Good Friend Shan is making a DVD for me.As she is very smart with this stuff. Well now there seems to be high demand of the DVD and the pressure is now on, however she is unaware.

So don't tell her , k?....lol

As i scan , crop, my heart out ,I want it to be perfect!...The songs however are another story.

So far we have , Isn't she lovely by Stevie Wonder and It's a Wonderful Life by Louie Armstrong.

If anyone has any ideas of songs to go along to this DVD . It would be greatly appreciated. Remember that must be fairly slow songs and not fast.

Estelle Getty, the diminutive actress who spent 40 years struggling for success before landing a role of a lifetime in 1985 as the sarcastic octogenarian Sophia on TV's "The Golden Girls," has died. She was 84.
Getty, who suffered from advanced dementia, died at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at her Hollywood Boulevard home, said her son, Carl Gettleman of Santa Monica.
"She was loved throughout the world in six continents, and if they loved sitcoms in Antarctica she would have been loved on seven continents," her son said. "She was one of the most talented comedic actresses who ever lived."
"The Golden Girls," featuring four female retirees sharing a house in Miami, grew out of NBC programming chief Brandon Tartikoff's belief that television was ignoring its older viewers.
Three of its stars had already appeared in previous series: Bea Arthur in "Maude," Betty White in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and Rue McClanahan in "Mama's Family." The last character to be cast was Sophia Petrillo, the feisty 80-something mother of Arthur's character.

I used to love this show years ago. I hope she has arrived safely to the other side God Bless you Estelle.
