Here's the story:

Events at ISM is excited to announce the launch of the "Love of a Lifetime" wedding giveaway. One lucky couple will be selected by Philly.com voters to win a lavish, free wedding package valued at more than $90,000. Voters will also make final selections for the bride and groom on many aspects of the day, from the menu, to the rings and flowers.

The wedding will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Events at ISM. The winning couple will be treated to all the necessities for a memorable and unique wedding, compliments of some of the region's top wedding and event specialists, including catering for 200, flowers, entertainment, photography and videography, and much more!

Events at ISM is located at the Independence Seaport Museum on Penn's Landing in Philadelphia and offers full-service catering and event planning services for the museum's multiple event spaces, all of which boast dramatic views of the Delaware River and city skyline.

JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes in Philadelphia

Today I was on the crew with Dave and Steve to shoot the annual Walk to Cure Diabetes movie. Media Wave Video Productions has produced this movie for the last three years for JDRF.

After last night's heavy rains, we were lucky and happy the weather held out and gave us a crisp Philadelphia morning. An estimated 10,000 Philly area walkers came out to raise money for The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The enthusiasm was palatable as Gabrielle Howarth sang our national anthem and Mayor Nutter delivered an inspiring address to the crowd, encouraging everyone to help solve this growing problem. It was truly a remarkable scene to look out on the thousands of people united by this common interest.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear from my Facebook friends that my mug is on the cover of EventDV this month, alongside other wedding and event filmmakers, Bruce Patterson, David Robin, Ron Dawson, Julie Hill, and Joe Simon. My copy arrives tomorrow apparently.

I'm not a super-mushy guy (although I have my moments), but this public post on my Facebook wall today reminded me that what we do can have meaning long after the wedding day. Thank you for sharing this, Jackie!

Hi Dave- Today is my 3yr anniversary. I've already looked at our 3min re-cap online this morning and look forward to watching our full wedding video tonight (as we do every year). This year is hard for me since my Dad passed away suddenly 5 mon...ths ago. But I am SO grateful that I have our wedding video to watch and remember the many wonderful moments my Dad and I shared that day. Thank you for the amazing job you did in capturing all the special moments that are even more cherished now.

The Philadelphia Wedding Project

DVideography is thrilled to have been invited to participate in the Philadelphia Wedding Project!

Six of our photographer friends, Jennifer Childress, Joy Moody, Pete Malone, Ryan Estes, Sofia Negron and Geoff Horowitz (Leapfrog Photo) have gotten together to provide one couple an amazing photography package for their wedding day. The Philadelphia Wedding Project will provide one couple, who is getting married in 2010 or early 2011, with a package including an Engagement Session, Boudoir Session (if desired), All Day Wedding Day Coverage, A Custom Designed Album, Two Parent Albums and an Online Proofing Gallery. The photographers are looking for a deserving couple who makes a difference in people's lives, has perhaps overcome great odds, gives selflessly to their community or has a unique love story that should be shared.

Brad and Kate to marry on the bridge of the USS Enterprise

We have been commissioned to shoot Brad and Kate on September 13th as they marry on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise, which is part of the exhibit at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Yes, the couple will be in costume.

Meet the lucky couple who entered the contest to win this wedding. Kate is from Phoenixville, PA and Brad is from Denville, NJ.

Hi, we're Brad & Kate. We met almost three years ago at a Star Trek convention in Chicago, never suspecting we would meet the love of our lives there. Our relationship continued after returning home, and in March of 2008, Brad proposed to me on stage at a Star Trek convention in New Jersey. We began planning our dream wedding in Las Vegas, on the bridge of the Enterprise D. We hesitated because our father would be unable to travel so far. Our decision was made for us when, in the fall of 2008, the Enterprise-D bridge replica was torn down. Then when Brad's father passed away earlier this year, it became essential for us to make sure my father would be able to attend our wedding in Pennsylvania. We realized it would be impossible for us to live the dream of getting married on the Enterprise bridge. But when we learned of the opportunity being offered at The Franklin Institute, we were ecstatic. Nothing would make us happier than to be able to pledge our lives to each other in the Star Trek universe, among our family, friends, and fellow Star Trek fans.

Wedding Video Turn Around Time. Are we there yet?

How long will you wait? 4-5 weeks? 3-6 months? Up to a year or more? These are some of the answers you'll hear from the folks in the business right now. It's an important question to ask, because we've learned over the last 9 years that the faster our clients can see their movie, the more excited and happier they are.

We're currently delivering all final productions between 4 to 8 weeks right now, but it's good to have options. For example, we offer Same Day Edits so guests can enjoy a beautiful recap the same night at the reception or at a brunch the next day. We also offer Coming Soon Movie Trailers, like this one we produced for Jessica and Andy from last night's wedding.
