It's the third week of July and time for me to blog on a mini album tutorial on The Crop Spot! Here are some sneak peeks of the mini album.

Our New Family Member!!

Today, I would liked to introduce to you all our new family member, Hiro, the Siberian Husky!! He is finally here yesterday and is slowly trying to check out his new home. Isn't he the cutest and most charming little guy? We love him so much and Ryan and Chloe are so excited in having a new buddy to play with.

Now I guess you all could foresee that there will be a lot of him in my future projects. All of you pet lovers out there, get ready for some fun inspirations from me. I've not scrap about any pets at all but I just can't wait to scrap about this cute little new family member of ours.

Oh, for those of you who do owned some kind of pet especially dogs, feel free to drop me a tip or two about housebreaking training. Have a great weekend.

With Love Mini album

This is a mini album that I've created using Clear Scraps acrylic mini tab album and My Little Shoebox pattern papers. Below are the pages in this mini album.

This is a very simple mini album. I've taken about an hour to complete this. If you have not tried one of these acrylic minis from Clear Scraps, you should! It's also a great way to use all your scraps to create a fast gift. Try it!

Tomorrow, I'll be sharing my new scrap subject with you all. Make sure you check back to see what, where or who is it. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time!

Spring Has Sprung ATC

I hope you all had enjoyed my colourful and fun ATCs. Here's another using Clear Scraps acrylic ATC and pattern papers from My Little Shoebox.

Here are the steps to this colourful ATC.

1) Use a Clear Scraps acrylic ATC as the base for this ATC.

2) Run the ATC through an embossing machine. Highlight the embossed images with some paint markers.

3) Tear a piece of black cardstock and layer on the bottom from the back of the ATC.

4) Cut out the circles and flowers from the pattern paper. Layer them on the ATC using some foam adhesives (ink them with distress ink first). Add details using Liquid Pearls, Glossy Accents and Stickles.

5) The title of the ATC is actually a rub-on.

Aren't these ATCs fun and colourful? It really makes me happy just seeing them. If you're going to this coming CHA, make sure you drop by Clear Scraps booth to check them out.

Family Vacation ATC

This is another of my fun and cute ATC using Clear Scraps acrylic ATC and pattern papers from Moxxie. It's really very easy and simple. You can create one of this ATC in minutes.

Here are the steps.

1) Use a Clear scraps acrylic ATC as the base for this ATC.

2) Cut out a strip from a pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Add it to the left of the ATC. Run the ATC through an embossing machine. Highlight the embossed images on the pattern paper with some distress ink.

3) Cut out another piece from a scallop die cut paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Paste it to the ATC from the back.

4) Cut out some luggage, bags and airplanes from the pattern paper and add it to the ATC. Use some foam adhesives to create different layers. Dress them up with Stickles and Glossy Accents.

5) Add a strip of diamond sticker on the bottom of the ATC and dress it up with Stickles.

6) Cut out another bag and attach it on the bottom right of the ATC using some foam adhesives. I've cut out the words from a sticker and then paste it on a cardstock. Later, I cover it with some Glossy Accents. Punch a hole and tie it to the bag.

7) Lastly, add a button on the top left of the ATC.

This is really very simple and fast. It could be use as an ATC alone or use it on another project as an embellishment or tag.

Below are some of the new chipboard albums. Yes, Clear Scraps do manufacture chipboard albums. They are just as cool as the acrylic albums!

Here are more cute and interesting minis to add to the collection! I bet you could try creating some cute decorations out of them for your tree this year.

I really love these new mixed up albums!!! It's going to be my must haves for this year!!

Lastly, I would like to introduce you all to these two new Chip N Clear set. These are also my favourite. It's actually something that all mini albums lovers must haves! You'll be able to create two mini albums using just one set!! Isn't that a great deal or what?

Metal Look on Acrylics

After sharing some ATCs in the last two days, I think I'll take a break and share this technique with you all.

This is a technique that I've used in one of my recent project for CHA. It really easy to create your one of a kind metal look piece from acrylic. Simply follow the steps below.

1) Run a piece of Clear Scraps acrylic through an embossing machine. (I've used a Clear Scraps acrylic decorative frame and run it through a Cuttlebug)

2) Use an alcohol ink applicator and some silver alcohol ink to ink the acrylic piece. (You could use any metallic alcohol ink for this step)

Isn't this simple? You can do this in seconds. It will be such an elegant embellishment to any project. Try it!

Video Games ATC

What about another cute ATC? Aren't these just fun!! This pattern paper is by Moxxie. Today is Ryan's birthday and I've told him that I will share his favourite ATC here on his birthday. I think you can guess the reason....lol!

Here are the steps.
1) Use a Clear Scraps acrylic ATC as the base for this ATC.

2) Cut out two small squares from the pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Add it to the ATC from the back.

3) Cut out some circles and stack of small squares from the pattern paper and ink it with distress ink. Paste it randomly on the ATC.

4) Use a silver paint dabber and randomly dab some silver paint on the ATC.
5) Cut out some prints of video games consoles from the pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Paste them to the ATC in layers. Use some foam adhesives to create different layers.

6) Dress up all the cut outs with Stickles and Glossy Accents.

7) Lastly, cut out the title from the pattern paper and ink it with distress ink. Add it to the ATC and add a huge button on the upper right of the ATC.

Aren't these themed pattern papers just perfect for these ATCs? I've actually created some mini albums using these pattern papers. These ATCs would be perfect as a tag to the album. What makes these ATC stands out is that the cut outs looks so cool against the acrylic based ATC. Try it with your scraps of themed pattern paper and you'll be amazed with what you can create out of it.

Sweet Home ATC

I've been busy designing and creating projects for CHA recently. I've not had much time for anything else. Part of the projects that I've created for this coming CHA are ATCs! I've had some fun creating some of these cute ATCs which are not my normal style.

I've used a Clear Scraps acrylic ATC and some My Little Shoebox cute pattern papers to create this ATC.

Here are the steps.

1) Use a Clear Scraps acrylic ATC as the base for this ATC.

2) Tear a rectangular piece of pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Paste it to the ATC from the back.

3) Layer another strip of die cut border on the bottom of the ATC. Ink it's edges with distress ink first.

4) Cut out some small houses, tree and lamp post from the pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Add it to the ATC with some foam adhesives or pop dots. Dress it up with some Stickles and Glossy Accents.

5) Stamp some small flowers using solvent ink on the ATC and detail it with Stickles.

6) Cut out the "Sweet Home" from the pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Attach it to the ATC with some foam adhesives.

7) Stamp the butterfly using solvent ink on transparency and cut it out. Fold it's wings up and attach it to the ATC. Dress it up with Stickles.

8) Punch two holes on the left of the ATC and add a ribbon to it.

Isn't this fun and easy? I guess I should try to create some cute projects once a while. Hope you all like it.

Nature Mini Album (Complete Album)

Here's the complete album all in one post. If you have not tried a Clear N Chip set from Clear Scraps, I think you all should. It's such a fun set where you have different shapes of pages and some embellishment in both acrylic and chipboard. You could easily create two mini albums with just a set. Try it!

Another great news to share is that from July onwards, I'll be officially creating projects and blogging for Scrapbooking Supplies R Us. It's a huge online store that ships worldwide. Nature Mini Album (Page 9, 10 & Back Cover)

Today is the last day for my Nature Mini Album's tutorials. It will be on page 9, 10 and the back cover of the album. Are you all ready to wrap up this mini album?

Here are the steps.
Page 9:
1) Add a strip of pattern paper horizontally on the bottom of the page. (Ink it's edges with distress ink first)

2) Ink the edges of the photographs with distress ink and add it to the page.

3) Cut out some leaves from a pattern paper and ink it with distress ink. Add it to the left of the page and dress it up with some Liquid Pearls.

4) Cover the smaller photograph with a small frame overlay and detail it with Liquid Pearls.

5) Add a strip of velvet rick-rack and a flower on the bottom of the page. Detail it with pearl and Stickles. Add a small circle chipboard embellishment on the upper left corner of the bigger photograph. Cover it with some Glossy Accents.

Page 10:
1) Use a chipboard piece as the base for this page.

2) Cover the chipboard page with pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink.

3) Cut out a rectangular piece from another pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. (Do not paste it on the chipboard page yet)

4) Cut another smaller rectangular piece from a pattern paper and layer it on top of the piece in step (3). (Ink it's edges with distress ink first).

5) Ink the edges of the photograph with distress ink and add it to the piece in step (4) and run it's left through an embossing machine. Enhance the embossed images with distress ink. Add it to the page and use a black pen to doodle some faux stitches. Dress up the stitches with some Liquid Pearls.

6) Add a lace flower with pearl, velvet rick-rack and ribbon on the upper right of the page.

Back Cover:
1) Trace the chipboard page onto a white card stock and cut it out. (Do not paste it on the chipboard page yet)
2) Add a strip of vellum in the middle of the page and later another strip of pattern paper above it. Paste this piece onto the white card stock in step (1). Run this whole piece through an embossing machine and ink the embossed images with distress ink. Add this finish piece to the chipboard page.

Lastly, punch some holes on all the pages and use a leave ribbon to lace them up. Add a string of pearls and some crystals to it.

Here are the tutorials for page 7 and 8 of my Nature Mini Album where I've used Clear Scraps Clear N Chip set (Abbie's Love) to create.

Simply follow the steps below to create the pages as above.

Page 7:

1) Trace the shape of the chipboard page onto a pattern paper and cut it out. Use a Tim Holtz idea-ology mask and distress ink to mask a border on the right of the page. (Do not paste it on the chipboard page yet)

2) Ink the edges of the photographs with distress ink and add it to the pattern paper above. Run the left of the pattern paper through an embossing machine with an embossing folder. Ink the embossed images with distress ink. Paste this finished piece to the chipboard page.

3) Add some flourish rub-ons on the bottom of the page and a flower on the lower left of it. Detail the flower with pearl and Stickles.

Page 8:

1) Use an acrylic piece from the Clear N Chip set as the base for this page.

2) Add a strip pf vellum horizontally across the page. Cut out a huge flower from a pattern paper and add it to the middle of the page. Run this acrylic piece through an embossing machine and highlight the embossed images with a white paint marker.

3) Cut out some leaves from a pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Add it to the right of the page. Dress up both the flower and the leaves with Liquid Pearls.

4) Ink the edges of both photographs with distress ink and add it to the page. use a white gel pen to doodle some faux stitches on the edges.

5) Add a flower on the top of the page and detail it with pearl and Stickles.

The tutorial for today is on page 5 and 6 of my Nature Mini Album. Is it getting more and more interesting for you all?

Here are the steps.

Page 5:

1) Add your photograph to the middle of the page.

2) Cut out a scallop circle from a green card stock. Run it through an embossing machine with an embossing folder. Later, tear outwards from the middle of the circle and ink all over it with distress ink. Paste it on top of the photograph and dress it up with Liquid Pearls.

3) Add some flourish rub-ons on the left of the page.

4) Add a flower to the upper left of the page and detail it with Stickles and pearl.

Page 6:

1) Use a chipboard shape piece from the Clear N Chip set as the base for this page. Cover it with pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Use a white gel pen to outline it's edges.

2) Cut a small rectangular piece from a green card stock and rub it through an embossing machine. Ink the embossed images and it's edges with distress ink. (do not add to the page yet)

3) Ink the edges of the photographs with distress ink and paste it on top of the piece in step (2). Hand stitch some zig-zag stitches on the left and the right of the photographs. Paste the finished piece on the page.

4) Cut out a flower from a pattern paper and paste it on the lower right of the page. Dress it up with Liquid Pearls and Glossy Accents.

Nature Mini Album (Page 3 & 4)

Today we're on to page 3 and 4 of my Nature Mini Album. There are a few extra techniques involved in these two pages as compared to yesterday's tutorial but if you follow the steps below, it should be very simple.

Here are the steps.

Page 3:

1) Cover the page with a pattern paper and add the photograph in the middle of the page.

2) Use a Tim Holtz idea-ology mask (Borderline) to mask the border above and below the photograph using distress ink. Use some Stickles to dress up the masked images.

3) Use a white gel pen to doodle some stitches on the upper edge of the photograph.

4) Add a strip of rick-rack on the bottom edge of the photograph and detail it using Liquid Pearls.

5) Cut out the flower from a pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Add it to the page and detail it with liquid pearls and Glossy Accents.

6) Cut out a cage from an overlay and add it to the right of the page.

Page 4:

1) Use an acrylic scallop shape piece from the Clear N Chip set as the base for this page.

2) Paint the edges of the page with some acrylic paint.

3) Cut out a circle from a white card stock. (Do not paste it to the page yet)

4) Ink the edges of the photograph with distress ink and add it to the circle card stock. Hand stitch the upper edge of the photograph. Paste both pieces on to the page.

5) Run the top and the bottom of the page through an embossing machine with an embossing folder. (try to emboss part of the photograph too) Ink the embossed images on the card stock and the photograph with distress ink.

6) Cut out half a flower from a pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Add it to the left of the page and detail it with Liquid Pearls.

7) Use an acrylic butterfly from the Clear N Chip set and run it through the embossing machine. Highlight the embossed image with paint markers. add it to the page.

8) Use a chipboard butterfly from the Clear N Chip set and ink it with Perfect Medium. Cover it with some Perfect Pearls and later mist some water to set it. Detail it with Liquid Pearls. Add it on top of the acrylic butterfly in step (7).

9) Add a flower on the lower left of the page and dress it up with pearl and Stickles.

Today the tutorial is on page 1 and 2 of my Nature Mini Album. This two pages are fairly easy.

Here are the steps.

Page 1:

1) Just print a quote using your computer on a vellum and cut it out. Ink it's edges with distress ink and add it to the page.

Page 2:

1) Use a shaped chipboard piece from the Clear N Chip set as the base for this page.

2) Cover the page with a white card stock and ink it's edges with distress ink.

3) Distress the photograph using the "Using Steel Ruler on Photographs" technique and ink it's edges with distress ink. Add it to the page.

4) Add a strip of cut out border from a pattern paper (ink it with distress ink first) and a strip of velvet ribbon on the bottom of the page. Dress up the ribbon with some liquid pearls.

5) Add some flourish rub-on on the upper right of the photograph.

6) Cut out some leaves from a pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Add it to the page. Add a flower to it too. Detail the flower with pearl and Stickles.

Nature Mini Album (Front Cover)

Here we go with the first tutorial on my Nature Mini Album. I've used Clear Scraps Clear N Chip (Abbie's Love) mini album to create this.

Here are the steps.
1) Use a rectangular acrylic piece from the set of Clear N Chip as the base for the front cover of this mini album.

2) Outline the front cover with a silver and black marker. I've used some Zig Painty. You could use any paint marker to do this.

3) Cut out a rectangular piece from a vellum and ink it's edges with distress ink. Paste it in the middle of the cover.

4) Cut out another smaller rectangular piece from a pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Paste it on top of the vellum.

5) Run the cover through an embossing machine with an embossing folder. Lightly ink the embossed images on the vellum and pattern paper with distress ink.

6) Add a strip of lace all around the top, right and bottom edges from the back of the cover. Later, dress it up with some liquid pearls from the front.

7) Add a rub-on in the middle of the pattern paper and highlight it with a white gel pen.

8) The "N" is a cut-out being paste onto a chipboard and later ink it's edges with distress ink. Add a layer of Crackle Accents on top of it. The "ATURE" are rub-ons.

9) Use the acrylic butterfly included in the Clear N Chip set and run it through an embossing machine with an embossing folder. Ink it with alcohol inks and highlight the embossed images with black solvent ink.

10) Use a chipboard butterfly included in the Clear N Chip set and ink it with Perfect Medium. Add some Perfect Pearls to it and later mist some water to set it. Add it to the cover on top of the acrylic butterfly in step (9). Dress it up with Liquid Pearls.

11) Add some flowers to it and detail them with pearls and Stickles.

If you have not tried one of these Clear N Chip set from Clear Scraps, I think you should give it a go. It's such a fun mini album. You can create various combination of pages for a mini album or take it apart to make cards or use them on your layouts. It also come with some chipboard and acrylic embellishment. Try it!

Father's Day is a celebration of Dad's, both traditional and non-traditional forms. Not only do I celebrate my biological father, but I also celebrate the other men in my life who helped to raise me. Father's Day isn't the end-all, be-all of celebrating our dads... At least it shouldn't be. But on this one day, just the same as we celebrate our life on our birthday, we take the time to celebrate the guy who has been exceptionally remarkable in our childhood and forward.

Want Another Free Mini Album Tutorial?

Here's a sneak peek of the mini album that I will be sharing it's page by page tutorial from next week onwards. This mini album is created using a Clear N Chip album (Abbie's Love) from Clear Scraps. It's a mixture of acrylic and chipboard mini album.

Showered With Love

This is a DT layout for Pages In Time. It's a layout featuring some Webster's Pages papers. I've also used a huge acrylic clip from Clear Scraps to create this layout.

Here are the steps to it.
1) Use a pattern paper as the base for this page. Use the scissors distressing technique to distress it's edges and ink it with distress ink.
2) Layer a strip of handmade paper on the right of the page and tear in a little the top. Hand stitch some zig-zag stitches on it. Dress it up with liquid pearls. Add another strip of clear tape on the right of this strip.

3) Use a border mask and some distress ink to mask horizontally on the upper half of the page.

4) Cut out a huge rectangular piece from another pattern paper. Ink it's edges with distress ink. Attach it to the page.

5) Add another strip of handmade paper on top of the rectangular piece in step (4). Dress it up with liquid pearls.

6) Add some flourish overlay on the upper right of the page.

7) Paint a huge acrylic clip from Clear Scraps with a copper acrylic paint dabber to create a rustic look on it. Later stamp the acrylic clip with some flourish stamps and black solvent ink. Dress it up with some liquid pearls.

8) Distress the edges of all the photographs using the scissors distressing technique and ink it with distress ink. Add it to the page in between the acrylic clip.

9) Hand stitch some cross-stitches on the acrylic clip and on the side of the photograph. Add some flowers in between the stitches.

10) Add a strip of lace under the big photograph and add a die-cut and embossed butterfly to it. Dress it up with Stickles.

11) Add two huge flowers on the top of the page. The "Love" tag is actually cut out from a pattern paper and then hand stitch around it. Add two photo holders on it's left and attach it to the page using some foam adhesives.

I'm totally in love with these gorgeous pattern papers and had so much fun creating using them. Hope you all like it too.

Could I (Therapy Scrapping Journal)

On 26th May, I have to go to my Therapy Scrapping Journal for the first time. It's a stressful day due to more follow-ups with my new home. The fault is just a never ending kind of thing. It's really very tiring having to call and get the right people to come all the time.

There is just too much to oversee and take care of. I'm in doubt that whether I could handle all that by myself.

Below are some of the close-ups of this therapy scrapping page. I won't be sharing the how-tos as it is simply an expression of my feelings and thoughts during at that moment.

I'm hoping there would be a reference to tell me the answer and a light to show me the way.

Does any of you has a therapy scrapping journal? Try creating one when you need someone to talk to, to listen, to answer or even if you have a wish.

I'll be sharing more of this journal if I need to go to it again.

Beautiful You

This is my last guest designing project for A Kiss On The Chic. I really love the colours and all the embellishment included in this kit. It makes all my pages looks so soft and feminine.

Here are the steps.

1) Use a pattern paper as the base for this page. Distress it's edges using the scissors distressing technique and ink it with distress ink.

2) Cut out a rectangular piece from another pattern paper and distress it's edges. Ink it with distress ink and paste it in the middle of the page.

3) Attach a flower on the left corner of the piece in step (2) and dress it up with some Stickles.

4) Cut out another rectangular piece from a white card stock and distress it's edges using the scissors and tear in techniques. Attach it to the page.

5) Ink a strip of Invisibles with distress ink and add it horizontally across the layers of papers.

6) Distress the edges of the photograph and tear in on it's upper left corner. Hand stitch two cross stitches on it. Add it to the page.

7) Add a strip of velvet hearts at the bottom of the photograph and detail it with Stickles and Liquid Pearls.

8) Cut out a scallop heart from another pattern paper and ink it's edges with distress ink. Dress it up with Stickles and add it to the page.

9) Add some flowers to the tag included in the kit and paste it onto the page. Add a crown overlay on it too.

10) Ink another chipboard frame Invisibles with distress ink and dress it up with ribbons, flower and Stickles. Cut out the overlay "Beautiful You" and add it to the frame.

11) Create some flowers using the "Create Flowers with Paper Ruffles" technique and add it below the wings and one more on the lower left of the photograph. Dress it up with Stickles.

12) Detail the wings and the heart with Liquid Pearls and Stickles. Add a crystal corner to the upper right of the layers of papers.

I hope that those of you who had bought this "Love" kit had enjoyed creating using it. I've really fell in love with the colours in this kit.

My DT box from Clear Scraps finally arrived at my home yesterday after being held at the customs for weeks. I just can't wait to dive in and start creating using them. I've even received two new tools in it. Isn't that cool? I can cut straight now and scor all I want! I bet you all know the tools that I'm talking about.
