New Deck before and after!

I'm really tired tonight but just for my special group of friends I am putting up these two pic of the deck..maybe one day I will have time to sit at the computer and play..oh and the lattice still needs stain..I think the pix's are backward LOL

Busy , busy Spring!

It's been a very busy Spring for me , trying to get this yard established, with flower beds , harbors,new deck and house painted..not counting birthdays,Al's was May 20th , Scarlett's May 22 also Rhi's graduation from preschooland Al's retirement is Friday the 29th..

We have very little growing time here in Iowa so its important to get the plants established before these hard winters hit.I was disappointed today the plant shops are all getting ready to close, everything is now picked over and lots of sales BUT I am not finished..I still need two trees desperately..I hope to get them planted next week and of course something new to wear Friday :}
I have a few pic's but will have more of the finished look soon..so just scroll down I am sure they aren't in order..
This is our new fountain and the new paint as you can see we only have one window and the door painted so far!

This pic might interest some.. I won it about 35 years ago giving a Home Interior party.Remember those:} This is a pic of David..The pic is painted on curved glass.I have been very careful through out the years ,once the glass is broken the pic would be gone..
Outside is nothing here but snow and gloom, no birds,greeny etc this is the only thing that come to mind..

First Doll!!

I taught Rhi to sew today , at first she had problems controlling the needles but a few tries later she look like and ole pro!!Her stitches are great for a 4year old..I can see her as the next generation of doll making..Scarlett modeled for me but was not too thrilled with the apron idea so we just made one..

The girls Rhi and Scarlett finished decorating my tree..never have I let the little ones play with my ornaments but this year was an exception :} They redo every time they are here.
Scarlett likes to hold certain ones and Rhi seems not satisfied with the location of the ornaments so she redecorates!I think they did a great job overlooking a few spots that is overloaded LOL
