I got this email last week from a recent couple. They said I could share it

"Hey Karl,
Thank you so much for meeting with us the other day -- we've looked through the photos and LOVE them! We just wanted to let you know what an amazing job you did.

We especially realized this yesterday when Matt and I went to a friend's wedding; she had hired a photographer who brought along 2 other photographers/assistants. So, throughout the ceremony, 3 loud cameras were flashing and going off left and right -- they were on the stage, walking through the audience, and were overall incredibly intrusive. We were unable to see the bride and groom, at times, because the photographers were blocking them trying to get the perfect shot! This really showed Matt and I how lucky we were to have you. We left that ceremony and said to one another, "do you remember seeing Karl during our wedding?"... "No! How did he get those amazing shots?!"
You were very unobtrusive, professional, and created amazing results. We feel very grateful to have worked with you and will recommend you to anyone we know looking for a photographer in the future.

Working on the 4th

I had to shoot the Lebanon Oregon 4th of July festival for one of my good clients. Really I just had to shoot one person there, but I had time to kill between some of the events so I shot some stuff just for fun.

I am shooting Monica and Charles wedding in September, we shot engagement photos with their dog Ernie Saturday in Portland. They were great to work with but I don't think Ernie was too impressed with me.

May 30th wedding

I think the most natural photos I get of a couple during a wedding come right after they walk out of the ceremony and before the guest and bridal party find them. Pigs are hard to shoot

Photographed livestock judging at OSU for OSU Marketing last week, pigs are really hard to shoot, and there was a swarm of bees flying over my head (Dad to bad you were not down here I would of given you a call), but I like the photos I got.

We have never used a boy as a senior rep, but we wanted to try it this year. We photographed Ryan's sister a few years ago, and we have photographed him and his family before, so he might have know a little of what he was getting in too. He did great, here are two of my favorites.

My job is a day at the Beach

Shot these photos at the beach for a client who wants photos of there employes in the city's they live. It was perfect weather, sunny , no wind white fluffy clouds etc. If it was like that everyday at the beach I might like it there more. Hopefully it will stay that way I have to go back next week twice.

Shooting a senior in 40 mph winds

Last Saturday Shari and I went to Portland to meet my cousin Patti and her daughter Jordan to shoot Jordan's Senior photos. They drove down from Seattle to meet us so we had to do it that day no matter what. It rained the whole drive up to Portland, but I was talking to my mom on the phone and it was still dry in Hillsboro so we were in luck, got about 30-40 mins in then the rain started, we got some photos under the cover of the Civic Center in Hillsboro, and then headed back to my moms house to wait out the rain. about 30 mins later the rain stopped and we could see blue sky coming, little did we know that with the blue sky came 40-50 mph winds that knocked down trees, and power lines all over Portland, but we kept shooting ducking behind buildings and walls to shelter us from the wind. It was the wildest senior shoot we have ever done, but the photos turned out good. Jordan I hope you like them.

West Albany Rep

Jen's sister was our rep two years ago and we like shooting siblings because they and there parents know the drill. We also shot in some new locations that we are very excited about, we always want to keep the photos fresh, and it makes my job more fun.

Abby is our 2010 Senior rep from Philomath. She is neighbors with our PHS reps from 2009, and 2008, and her mom Sue has taught music to our kids for about 5 years

Senior Reps 2010 South Albany

We photographed Megan our 2010 senior rep from South Albany earlier this week. She and her mom were great o work with, and she had the coolest soccer cleats that she designed online from Nike. People walking by even commented on them. I had to take a photo of them, I want to get some for my girls.

With the nice weather we have started to shoot our 2010 Senior Reps in April, last year we shot them between rain storms in May. We started with Ahzha on Saturday, she will e a senior at Crescent Valley next year, We photographed her and her family two years ago, they were so much fun, including jumping off a bridge for a photo, we kept Ahzha in mind for one of our reps. Here is two of my favorite from Saturday.

We photographed the two cutest kids ever yesterday, It was cold but not raining, and they let us drag them around for two hours. the mom was a little grumpy, but she was happy once she saw the photos. (p.s. these are my kids if you don't know)

The next Micky Mantel

OSU president Ed Ray always wanted to be the next Micky Mantel growing up. I shot this photo for some magazine that talked about his childhood dreams and they wanted a photo to go with it. I have shot President Ray a lot, and he was great we had about 10 mins to shoot, but he brought his own glove and hat.

Sorry a little behind on the favorites, I love the week between Christmas and New Years, but I never get anything done. I took this photo back in June of an OSU Student who did some research on Chickens and bird Flu, we took this kid (who was a great sport) all over campus with this chicken, this photo was shot in one of the old chicken coops on campus.
