Happy Birthday Sarah

Hi everyone, subtle colours of perfect plum, pale plum and kraft card make this birthday butterfly card!

Today is Sarah's birthday, Happy Birthday to you!! she is a lady that works in my office at St John's! This is the card that i made for her, i used the wonderful new flight of the butterfly stamp set. We celebrated her birthday yesterday as we obviously are not there today!
The photos are not that good as i had to use my phone yesterday as the light was not good at home the night before!

Here is a close up of the card, as you can see i layered the butterlies using vellum card, i embossed them with white and punched out using the new butterly punch, just simply lush! i love this stamp set!

I also made her a chocolate book, as she loves chocolate like i do, but as we are trying to lose weight thought that small bars of galaxy were for the best! inside is a little poem and 2 bars of chocolate! Needless to say one bar was gone by lunch-time!

Many of the ladies in my office have now been converted to Stampin' Up! and here are the lovely cards that they made!

Putting on the Glitz!

Need a Christmas card with the *WOW* factor... well i think this is it!!
Tones of kraft, gold, whisper white and old olive make this card just simply stunning!!

Stamp sets used are tree trimmings, baroque motifs and occasional greetings. Patterned paper from Merry Moments. Gold embossing powder, old olive ink and some linen thread for the bows on the baubles. Nestabilites labels die no8 and the gold edging done using a krylon ink pen.

Here is a close up of the card, i stamped the baroque motif swirl first with old olive then the baubles in versamark and embossed with gold powder. I stamped them all again and cut them out to layer on the card. The sentiment from occasional greetings also embossed with gold powder and punched out using the new 1 3/4 inch circle punch!

Stampin' Up! is FAB!!!!!

Morning everyone, since i started my Stampin' Up! career almost 2 years ago i have met some wonderful people and made some fantastic friends! i have a great team and great customers too!
The first European Stampin' Up! Convention was held last week in Frankfurt, Germany, i was not able to attend but was thinking of all my Stampin' Up! sisters that were there!
I have some very special friends within the Stampin' Up! community one of them being Jules, she is an inspiration and a great help to me too! i visit her blog daily and we chat often! Why dont go take a look, she has some great ideas! i don't know where she gets the time with all the other things that she does! to me she is a SUPERSTAR! and i love her to bits!!
I was overwhelmed when last night she said that there was a surprise for me on her blog!
This is what i saw!

One girl I would have loved to see there was my friend Michelle Allen whom I chat to a lot! I know that Chris missed her too so we wrote this note and took a photo to send to her!

You cannot read it very well but it says "Hi Michelle, See You Soon, Miss Ya "
Hope to see you next year Michelle!

It bought tears to my eyes that she was so kind and thoughtful, i had asked her to give Chris, one of the demo support team staff a big hug from me and she did!
i was also ranked 13th in the Demonstrator of the Year event, thanks to the wonderful and excited Monica who called me on sunday when she got home! love ya to bits too babe!! what would i do without you in my Stampin' up! life?? and promoted last month to a Silver 2 also!
Without my team members and my customers this would not have been possible!
Thank you to you all!!
Next years convention will be held in London, UK! I can't wait!!

Silent night part 2

Hi everyone, well its been cold today so i thought i would change the colour of my blog to suite!
Silent night used again here but this time just the sentiment from the set.

Very traditional and fitting for the christmas season. I have used real red for my card base and the new lovely merry moments christmas designer paper!
The stamp set used is spotlight on christmas, the 5 petal punch, punches this perfectly and i have added some dazzling diamonds to the centres of the flowers.
The sentiment stamped in garden green and then nestabilities to cut the ovals.

Here is a close up of the pointsetta flowers, they are just so cute! A splash of real red grosgrain ribbon to finish!

Old Fashioned Christmas!!

Sepia tones of ink in close to cocoa and Silent Night stamp set make this Christmas card so elegant!
Card base of chocolate chip, background stamped with bold snowflakes jumbo wheel and craft whisper white ink pad! Image stamped in close to cocoa and highlighting done using ink and blender pen. The sentiment is from Occasional Greetings.

A splash of dazzling diamonds applied using the new 2 way glue pen makes this card have a real christmas feel!

In Love With Stamping - Challenge - Scrap It!

Scrapbooking! Now don't all faint!! I know, i know its been along time! It sometimes takes a challenge to get you going again! All products used on the page are from Stampin' Up!

Colour tones used here are kraft, perfect plum and old olive, i love this photo of my daughter Philippa, she is so beautiful when she smiles!

Here is a close up of the lettering and rub ons on the page, i have used chipboard letters here naked as i quite like this un-finished look, the rub ons are from planter box and cherished memories. The ribbon is kraft taffeta, so lush when tied into bows.

Do you like the look of the flowers? they are made from several circles punched and then just snipped round and layered and scrunched together, rhinestone brads added to the centres. See you can do scrapbooking too with stamping!
This is just what i needed to kick start me back into scrapbooking so whatch this space!

Easel Card

Tea and crumpets paper and always in my thoughts stamp set feature in this lovely easel card.

Tones of chocolate chip, more mustard, always artichoke and so saffron. Images coloured with stampin' up! marker pens and lightened using a blender pen.
Sentiments from the same stamp set, nestabilities dies used for the large ovals and various stampin' up! punches. A splash of so saffron grosgrain ribbon to complete the card.

Swirly Christmas!

Traditional Trees and cards in red and green that is the type of card most people choose!
Stamp set used is Wondrous Gift (Thanks Jules for telling me!) and ink colours in real red and always artichoke. Designer papers from tea and crumpets too!

A splash of whisper white and red and white check gingham ribbon and it completes this card. The usual cutting dies for the mats too.

Here is a close up of my lovely red bow and my glitter stars, you cant do stars without lashings of glitter so used dazzling diamonds here to make it just sparkle!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

MMMMMM... blends of pretty in pink, whisper white,sage shadow and kraft make these christmas cards so scrummy!!

Small 4 x 4 inch ccards make these an idea card for Christmas sending, i have used my lovely nestabilities dies to cut the fancy squares in whisper white and sage shadow. The image has been stamped with pretting in pink ink and i have used a stamp from Lovely as a Tree set. So versatile for this time of year!

The sentiment stamped with going gray in and a wonderful piece of pretty in pink taffeta ribbon to make the lush bow! To complete the card i used my new 2 way glue pen and added some dazzling diamonds glitter!

Here is another card this time using some basic gray ribbon to finish. The designer paper is from petal party collection, this is now retired from the current catalogue

Scratch 'n' Sniff!

Tart and Tangy meets Scratch 'n' Sniff! Used bright ice cream colours for this card and using some sugar free jelly and embossing powder made the pink grapefruits in the middle smell just like that!

Colours used were: green galore, gable green, pretty in pink and whisper white. Using versamark ink to stamp the grapefruit and then a mix of embossing powder and jelly crystals cover stamped image and heat gently with heat gun until set.

Designer papers from tea party and some pink striped grograin ribbon to finish, sentiment is from Wow Flowers stamp set and punched with the new word window punch. Grapefuits stamped twice and mounted with dimensionals and added to scallop squares in green galore
This was a card i made from my friend at work Tamo for her recent birthday!

Tart and Tangy

Tart and Tangy Stamp set has made it to the new 09-10 Stampin' Up! Catalogue!

One of my favourite stamp sets from last year is back again for another year!
Colours used are gable green, glorious gree, only orange, and yoyo yellow, such yummy bright colours for a dull autumn day!

Here is a close up of the card, you can see i have used whisper white ribbon to finish, i stamped the image once and punched out using 1 inch punch then stamped again and punched using 3/4 inch punch and used stampin dimensionals to give a lift to the images. So achieving the look of lemons, oranges and limes!
Hopefully blogging will be back to normal now, i have had a few internet problems and been poorly the last few days but things are looking up!

Hi everyone, not long to wait for the new arrival!!!!

That is the arrival of the Stampin' Up 09-10 Catalogue and i hope we are all excited about that too!
This is a new arrival card too for a cute little baby boy!
Another sneaky peek at a new stamp set in the catalogue.
This is a hostess level 3 set and is called Queue up, it is 6 stamps and fantastic!

Here is a close up of the card, just simply stamped using stazon ink and coloured using Stampin Write markers from Stampin' Up! A touch of glitter too on the little prams, they are so cute!
I have also used the polka dot background stamp and the sentiment is from nursery neccessities!

Rose is a Rose

RECIPE:
Stamps: Rose is a Rose, Best Yet
Ink: Only orange, apricot appeal, certainly celery and always artichoke
Card: Certainly celery, whisper white, pumpkin pie designer papers
Punches: Scallop circle, 1 3/8 inch circle
Accessories: certainly celery 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon, nestabilities die, pricking tool

Morning everyone, i do think that Rose is a Rose is one of my most favourite flower stamp sets from Stampin' Up!
I love the way you can use different colour combinations to give a different effect to the roses.
The colours i have used here are only orange and apricot appeal.

Cut certainly celery A4 sheet in half to make card blank, add 2 pieces of pumpkin pie designer papers, 1 piece cut 2 inch x 5 11/16 inch and the other 2 1/2 inch x 5 11/16 inch to the card blank as shown. Tie a piece of certainly celery ribbon around the card when the join of the designer papers meet.
Cut a nestabilities labels die and blend pastels to give a slight tone to the die cut shape.
Stamp the rose head, the smaller head bud twice and the tiny bud in apricot appeal, then using the stamp a ma jig and using 2 step stamping add the top layer in only orange. Do the same for the leaves using the greens, cut out and position as shown, raising some with foam pads.
Stamp the sentiment and punch using 1 3/8 inch circle punch, mat to scallop circle and using your pricking tool edge the circle. Add to the card and you are finished.

Card for Roger

Morning everyone, todays card is one that i made for another colleague who works in our office.
Colours used were night of navy, craft and old olive. The base card cut from the night of navy card stock, i then punched circles from textured card in the same colour, you can just see them on the background. The loads of love car stamped twice, once on whisper white and coloured with watercolour crayons and then secondly onto old olive card and cut out, a bit like paper piecing.

This is me in the car delivering all his pressies to his desk at work! lol!! I know its a big girlie but i still think he will like it as there is really no pink in there!

Happy Birthday Julie and a Sneaky Peek!

Morning everyone, Well today is Julie's birthday, a lady that works in our office, and what better card for me to do for her! She loves bright vibrant colours and the odd tipple or two too! She is a recent addition to the Stampin Up world but had definately got the bug!
We celebrated her birthday at work yesterday and she received some great Stampin Up products from us all in the office so will be in crafting heaven for a little while!
This is also another sneaky peek of a new set from the 09-10 Stampin' Up! catalogue.
This year we were lucky enough to purchase some hostess sets, this being a level 3 and its called Queue Up, there are 6 of these blocks all different in total and i will share more over the next few days.
I love them, they are great for colouring with markers, inks or watercolour crayons.
Sorry image looks a bit wonky! its not i think i was having a bad day with the camera! lol

Colours used are from the Bold Brights range, pink passion, gable green and tempting turquoise with a splash of summer sun from Earth Elements, watch out for this colour i think its gonna be big this year!

Here you can see the brad detail and the stamped image a little closer, i stamped this onto naturals ivory card, great for using the watercolour crayons on too and this is what i used to colour my little cocktail glasses. I then added glue and dazzling diamonds glitter to add some bling. A girl always loves *BLING* Well thats it for today, will be back tomorrow with another post. Have a good day and happy stamping

Sneaky Peek No1

Hi everyone, well first day back to work for me today and i had a good day so im happy!
And for that i am going to let you see a stamp set from the new 09-10 catalogue!
What do you think of this then? This is a new set called Autumn Days and i have to say with the first use of it i love it!

Colour combination is:
Chocolate chip
Taken with Teal
More Mustard
I have also used the sentiment from big bold birthday, chocolate chip designer papers and more mustard ribbon to finish.
To colour the lovely birdie i used my markers, starting with the lightest colour first, the same with the small maple leaves. Punches used are scallop edge border and ovals.

New Baby Boy!

Hi everyone, i just wanted to share this card i made for my DHL delivery lady who had her baby a couple of weeks ago!
They already have 2 girls so the arrival of a beautiful baby boy was just the ticket!
The family did not ask what sex the baby was going to be and wanted the surprise to be held for the girls too!
So i say congratulations to Katie and her family on the safe arrival of Liam!

I have used Wild about You stamp set, this is on the last chance list and has been reduced by 25%!
Colours used are bashful blue, so saffron and pumpkin pie, the patterned papers are from Washington Apple this is also due to leave us on the 30th and was a product from the mini catalogue!
I have also used some of the lovely so saffron striped ribbon and also the ribbon that was in the special offer bundle last month!
Well im off, im preparing some sneaky peeks for you all next week of up and coming items in the 09-10 catalogue! so do check back to have a look!

Whimsical butterflies

Morning everyone, for todays post i have used some of the holiday treasures designer papers, this set is on the last chance list and the price has been cut by 25%! as you can see you dont need to use it just for christmas cards!

I have used the garden whimsey stamp set, for the first time and i love it!, colour tones of chocolate chip, old olive and tempting turquoise too! The butterfly here was first stamped and cut from a circle nestie, i then stamped the butterfly again and cut out, used a glue pen to add some dazzling diamonds glitter for a bit of sparkle and some square rhinestone brads to finish.

Here again same idea cutting and stamping butterflies and mounting on top with stampin dimensionals, this time using the old olive paper and card as a base. I love just the splash of turquoise i think it gives it a lovely lift!

Third card using the smaller stamps in the set, when cutting the squares i deliberately made sure the stamp looked off set as i knew i would not get the whole image in.

Mr & Mrs

Morning everyone,i had a terrible nights sleep and was still up at 2am this morning, i dont know if its the excitement of the new catalogue or the fact that my pre-order will be arriving today! well things are gradually getting back to normal, i am going to spend today stamping and washing! Funny how when you go on holiday you seem to make more washing than you do when you are at home! oh well.. on with todays post.

This collection of cards is using Mr & Mrs Stamp set from Stampin' Up!
Colours i have used are blush blossom, going gray and whisper white. I have close ups of two of the cards but not the third one im afraid!

Here is the first card, i have used some of my nice cuttlebug embossing folders and various stampin up punches too! I randomly stamped the lovely flower from the stamp set using versamark to give a watermark effect. A touch of whisper white grosgrain ribbon and some diamante crystals to finish

Second card using the same colours again and nestabilites aswell as cuttlebug embossing folders here. I love that flower stamp and i think it is so versatile, again i have added some crystals to accent the flowers. A touch of taffeta ribbon too!

There's no place like home!

Hi everyone, just to say that i have returned home early from my holidays and normal service will be resumed shortly!
We were a bit fed up with the constant rain day in and day out! even the FAB scenery could not make up for the downpours! Im a comforts creature and the thought of sleeping in my bed tonight is devine!
We had some card trouble too and thought we would be stranded in the lakes until next week, but we bit the bullet and drove home car still intact! Jason will have to sort it now we are home!

Rub ons - Secret garden

Hi everyone, here is a collection of 4 x 4 cards using mainly Stampin' up! rub ons, these are from Secret garden i think! I have also used Haiku papers, these are on the last chance list have you been and had a look yet? link at the side, go and have a browse and if you wish to order drop me an email, a couple of things have sold out already so you need to be quick!
Right back to the cards!
I have used so saffron, old olive and pumpkin pie card and a touch of very vanilla too.

Here is the first card, i have used the sentiment from thoughts and prayers stamp set, plus the flower rub on and dots too

Second card using the same collection of rub ons and stamps and nestabilities dies and scallop oval punches

Third card close up, i have used circle punches and accent the sentiment this time, and using my pricking tool to add detail to the circle

Final card using the rub ons and the stamp set, ideal size cards for get well and sympathy cards as i have done here, i have also made a box for these cards to go in but forgot to take a photo! sorry!
