In addition to giving you a place to stay, you will find that there are a number of reasons why Kona homes are perfect for honeymoons.

Perhaps, the greatest reason why Kona homes are perfect for honeymoons is because they are private. When it comes to Kona homes, you will likely find that they are used to describe vacation rentals, private vacation rentals. Essentially, this means that, when renting a Kona home, you and your new spouse will have the whole home to yourself. No crowded vacation hotels or vacation resorts or loud neighbors to worry about, just a private Kona home. This is important because privacy is vital to the creation of a romantic environment, which in turn is vital to the success of a honeymoon.

Another one of the many reasons why Kona homes are great for those on a honeymoon is because of all that they offer. Kona homes are just like traditional homes, maybe even your own home. This means that they often come equipped with bathrooms, dining rooms, kitchens, living rooms, and multiple bedrooms. It is also important to note that all of these rooms are fully furnished. Having a kitchen will enable to you stay in and cook you own meals, if you want to. Of course, you can always leave your Kona home rental, but it is romantic knowing that you don't necessarily have to, especially when you are automatically provided with everything that you could need or want while on your honeymoon.

Kona homes are also idea for honeymooners because they are located in a number of different areas. For example, it is possible to rent a Kona home that is located slightly inland. Another option is to rent a Kona home that is located on the beach. These Kona homes are often referred to as beachfront or oceanfront homes. If you are looking for the most romantic setting, you may want to think about staying at a beachfront or oceanfront Kona home. In addition to the beautiful ocean views, romance can also be generated by participating in a number of beach activities. These activities may include, but should not be limited to, boating, swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving.

If you like what you just read, you may want to think about booking your Kona home honeymoon reservations. When doing so, you will have a number of different options. You can easily book your reservations online, through an online travel website. Online travel websites are ideal because you can easily find the Kona home of your dreams and make your reservations in as little as an hour. When the Sun goes through Cancer the quality of divine motherhood is awakened in each of us -- at least that is the potential. Suddenly there's a renewed sensitivity to all of us as children. There is a great possibility for all to lay down their weapons and sympathize with their enemies for the next couple of weeks.

Cancer is the sign of sensitivity, compassion and motherhood. It is ruled by the moon, the planet of selfless love, nurturing and peace. This is different than the type of love we have in relationships which are transactional in nature. Relationship love is between two equals, two grown-ups. In relationship love, each person has to hold up their part of the bargain, whatever that "bargain" is. Every relationship has different boundaries that are negotiated and, however strange those boundaries may look to outsiders, as long as the two partnered agree with the terms, and honor them - there's usually smooth sailing.

This is what makes the relationship house (seventh house) a secondary business / career house. We use the same negotiating skills at our job that we use in our romantic relationship - after all, people are people. The larger issue in relationships is our ability to compromise and satisfy our desires as well as accommodate another person's. Those who are able to yield their desires with dignity do well in relationships. But this takes an authentic desire to please others combined with an equally authentic intuition which knows where to draw the line and can draw that line without anger or excessive ego.

However, the capacity to play fair and negotiate and uphold common boundaries, etc. will be very damaging in a parent / child relationship. Once a parent starts demanding the child treat them as an equal, at least when they're young, there can be great harm done. Of course, once the child grows up into teenage years and beyond the relationship starts to develop and mature. But still, the parent must always put the needed the child ahead of their own. Fortunately, nature makes this easy -- once the child begins to grow up and develop their own personality, many immature parents stop serving the child / selflessly loving the child - and start to a great deal of harm.

Negotiating proper relationship boundaries are related to Venus and powerfully expressed through the Cardinal sign she rules, Libra - the sign of relationships. And, as was said, the Moon rules selfless parental love that only knows how to give. The mother loves the child no matter what the child does. But this shows the inherent struggle between Venus and the moon – the inherent struggle between selfless love and conditional love.

It's very easy to mix these two things up in our mind. When relationships become dominated by a selfless, parental type of love -- is only a matter of time before it starts to feel like abuse for one and co-managing for the other. There has to be accountability first, only then can romantic love become selfless, devoted love. Similarly if the parent / child love is too transactional, with a parent constantly insisting upon the immature mind of the child to be accountable for their emotional mistakes, as we would expect from our partner, much trouble arises also. Without the paradigm of selfless love in the parent/child relationship, the parent will not be able to insist upon accountability without the child feeling attacked.

This is an important issue at this time with Venus about to go retrograde into the sign of Cancer. In Vedic astrology both the moon and the Sun are enemies of Venus. This enmity is expressed in different ways. The influence of the moon on Venus (including occupying the sign of Cancer) is to confuse the transactional nature and expectation of adult relationship boundaries with the utterly selfless, caretaking, maternal nature of the moon. The influence of the Sun on Venus (including occupying the sign of Leo) is to insist upon a passionate, fiery and romantically accountable nature.

These themes will play out in the upcoming Venus retrograde cycle discussed last week in this newsletter.

The upcoming Venus retrograde cycle will mirror the recent Saturn retrograde cycle and also foreshadow next year's Mars/Ketu conjunction at 28° Cancer. There is another very important factor that must be kept in mind relative to this Saturn / Venus relationship.

Sam Geppi has over 20 years of Vedic Study and experience. They're big, yellow, bugs, lots of 'em have stingers, and they just love to show up in the middle of a picnic. But don't hold too much against them, because bees give us something no one else can: honey.

Honey is a beehive's main food source, the end result of the nectar collection bees do all day (part of the reason they show up at your picnic—to get at the flowers). There's a reason ticked-off bees rush at you if you get near the nest: they know you're either there for them or for their food source. It's hard to blame them, since we've been harvesting their honey since ancient times. Mesolithic rock paintings in Valencia, Spain depict honey hunters gathering the sweet stuff 10,000 years ago. Everything from the Old Testament to Asian mythology couples honey with all things good and pleasant. Egyptians treated wounds with it; Greek women dipped their fingers in it for luck before entering a new home. It's shown up in food, drinks, and other stuff since prehistory, and with good reason.

Flavor-wise, honey's sweeter than ordinary sugar—a side effect of combining multiple sweet nectars—and it has a wealth of benefits sugar doesn't. Put it in a baking recipe to preserve your food longer. Use it as a sweetener in tea to get more vitamins and antioxidants. Or just pour it over a fresh biscuit to see how darn good it can taste.

Sweeten Up

Thinking of cooking with honey? A small amount of it makes these pork chops particularly delicious. Or you could try making some honey granola as a healthy snack. If you're in the mood to bake, give honey zucchini bread or some apple/honey cake a shot. And don't forget the honey-lime fruit salad, or the Ethiopian honey wine. For a particularly refreshing summer drink, look for Sprecher Root Beer—a delicious Milwaukee concoction that uses raw local honey in production.

Soak It In

Of course, honey has more to offer than just its taste. Ancient people used it to treat wounds because of its antibacterial properties, and everything from beautification of the living to preservation of the dead was handled with honey at one point or another. We really don't recommend the preserving corpses thing, but give the beauty treatments a try with stuff like milk and honey lotion, foaming honey/vanilla bath, or rosemary honey conditioner. Beauty's never been so delicious.

Endangered Insects

But this sweet, succulent nectar of the gods…er, the bees…may soon be a precious commodity. With all the other rising costs out there—gas, airfare, video games—why is something as simple as honey so likely to jump? Simple: we're running out of bees. It all ties into a mysterious phenomenon called Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), in which adult bees simply vanish en masse from their hives. CCD first loomed in America earlier this year (and it's still the hardest-hit), but reports of missing bees are popping up all over Canada and Europe. No bees means no honey, and it has chilling implications for most of agriculture, too—who pollinates up to one-third of our produce, nuts, and livestock fees? That's right: those buzzing honey bees. Given that pollination is a multi-billion dollar industry, it's making people all over the place nervous. Way back when, Albert Einstein supposedly prophesized doom if the humble honey bee disappeared, giving mankind just four years to live. Maybe it's not that bad, but the situation's definitely serious.

How can you help? The jury's still out on what's causing CCD, but research points to several possible factors, including power lines, electromagnetic waves (i.e. from cell phones), and pesticides. Not much can be done by the average person about the first two, but you can absolutely help with the third. Support organic honey farmers like Volcano Island Honey, Dutch Gold, Carlisle Honey and Golden Acres Honey. While mainstream commercial beekeepers (the guys who use all the pesticides and other chemical gook) are reporting devastating losses—up to 90 percent in some areas—makers of organic honey haven't lost a single bee. Since the moon passes overhead about an hour later each day, it was long suspected that the moon was associated with the tides. The moon's gravitational forces cause these movements of tides which became to be known as 'Lunar Tides'.

But I disagree.

Because I believe, that what causes the tides is actually the sun and not the moon.

According to my theory of gravity, the atom at the outer layer plate (surface of the earth) is electrically positive and it is attracted to an inner plate, which is electrically negative, and this is what gravity is all about. The outer layer plate is showered by myriads of positive electrified particles radiated from the sun that sustain the atom's positive charge of this outer plate.

Solar panel collectors work in a similar way, the more the sun shines on them the more energy these collectors can produce.

The same could be said regarding the oceans - the more the sun shines (radiating positive electrified particles) the more of positive charge the ocean's atom gets – less shine, less charge.

The main chemical constituent of ocean seawater is salt. Its chemical name is sodium chloride, composed of ions, which offer a good electrical 'conductor'.

Therefore, because the oceans are salty and they have a good electrical conductivity, their atoms can gain or lose their electrical charge easily. Waves and tides occur because of the increase or decrease of the electrical charge coming from the radiation of the sun. This depends on the fluctuation of time-shine between day and night.

Imagine the oceans are as if a balloon is held between our hands. If you apply pressure with one hand on an area (x) the balloon's air travel away from area (x) to all directions and the balloon takes the shape of an oblong.

The same happens to the area (x) of the ocean where the sun shines mostly. The atoms in this region become more positively charged, than that of the other atoms that are further away. And because area (x) has now gained more positive charge, the attraction towards the inner negative plate is now much stronger and moves this part of the ocean closer to the seabed lowering the sea level, while at the same time pushing the surrounding seawater to all directions where the ocean atoms' positive charge is weaker - sea currents are born.

By this hypothesis, one can conclude that it is the energy coming from the sun, that produces these movements of sea currents, which in turn create the waves and causes the tides.

Author of the book God and Gravity, Roger Rogers - Jesian, reveals his ideas that challenge the theories of Darwin, Newton and Einstein. Nothing seemed to help, and the pain prevented her from working. This persisted for 20 years but then in August of 1999, she read about the remarkable wound-healing properties of a special type of honey only found in New Zealand called, "Manuka Honey". She asked her doctors to apply some to the dressing they applied to the wound on her arm, and one month later the wound miraculously healed. Now she's back to work.

Novel as this treatment sounds, it would have bored some doctors in ancient Egypt, according to Frank Buonanotte, CEO of Honeymark International, a manufacturer of Manuka Honey-based health care products. "Honey has been used for centuries to treat a wide range of medical problems like wounds, burns, cataracts, skin ulcers and scrapes," he says. "And now various researchers worldwide are also finding strong antimicrobial properties in Manuka Honey."

Honey fell from favor as a wound dressing when antibiotic dressings were developed during World War II. However, new research and the rise of antibiotic-resistant bacteria are putting this old-time folk remedy into the contemporary medicine chest. Last year, the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (the equivalent of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved honey as a medicine. Honeymark has been utilizing this incredible natural resource in health care products and getting amazing results.

Manuka Honey helps wounds in several ways, says Buonanotte. Its thickness provides a protective barrier. The hydrogen peroxide it contains is released slowly, killing germs in the wound. It also reduces inflammation speeds up the growth of healthy tissue. Manuka Honey even removes the malodor in wounds, possibly because when the bacteria in wounds eat the honey's sugars, they give off sweeter-smelling gases. Dozens of studies have documented such benefits.

One of the most convincing reports, published in the 1998 issue of the journal Burns, tells how researchers from the Dr. V. M. Medical College in Maharashtra, India, compared Manuka Honey with silver sulfadiazine, the standard treatment for superficial burns. The researchers first smeared Manuka Honey on gauze and used it to dress the burns of 52 patients. Another 52 patients got the same treatment but with silver sulfadiazine in place of the honey. In the 52 patients treated with honey, 87% healed within 15 days, compared with 10% of those treated with silver sulfadiazine. The honey-treated patients also experienced less pain, leaking of wound fluid, and scarring.

Dr. Peter Molan, a biochemist at the University of Waikato in New Zealand, and other researchers have found special bacteria-killing properties in Manuka Honey. In laboratory experiments, reported in the November 1992 Journal of Applied Bacteriology, Molan and his colleagues found that Manuka Honey was particularly effective in slaying staphylococcus aureus. This so-called "Golden Staph" sometimes survives the most potent antibiotics, killing its victims. "Manuka honey has worked in very desperate cases where nothing else has worked," says Molan.

Studies so far have found no negative side effects of Manuka Honey. Experts do caution that infants should not eat honey because of the botulism risk. "But it's still OK to use honey on children's (and infants') cuts, burns or scrapes," says Molan. This artistic tradition generally centers on some festivities where the beautiful sculptures draw the attention of the people. In fact carving of fruits is an exquisite work of art. In China, watermelon carving is the most popular. Fruit carving can also be done on such fruits as carrots, papaya, pumpkins and other smaller fruits for carving individual items. But watermelon carvings appear to be highly attractive on account of its varied colors and size. The contrasting colors of melons lend a striking effect to the finished product, making them all the more appealing.

Prior to the execution of your carving skill, it is essential to make all the proper arrangements. A good carving knife with a single sharp pointed blade is a must- have in this case. Carving on a watermelon is done in a relief format; it can be just a simple cut out or carry an intricate engraving. This Chinese artistic sculpture is of ancient origin that has been passed down through the generations. In modern days, this wonderful tradition has found great recognition and popularity throughout the world. The varying tones and colors of watermelons (pink, white, green) work wonders to give a contrasting effect to the sculptures.

Watermelon sculptures can turn out to be the cynosure for any occasion or international event. This artwork can be exhibited at any cultural platform to showcase some wonderful talents. The carvings done on the watermelons are endless, ranging from teapots to flower vases, to little animals or even trophies. These amazing designs are carved out using carving tools and melon ballers. The carving tool is used to cut out intricate patterns while the melon baller scoops out larger sections. The melon baller is particularly helpful in carving out large unique shapes such as a fish, basket or fruit holder. The watermelon rind is very easy to cut into and amateurs can begin with cutting the rind to create large designs.

Watermelon carving can be a great fun with the kids too. In fact, being an excellent source of vitamins and a tasty fruit, kids can have a great time learning this art and absorbing the benefits of this fruit. This unique art sculpture should be encouraged among the children not only to propagate and keep alive the ancient tradition but also to give way to the creation of masterpieces of the future.

Suzanne Macguire is an Internet marketing professional with expertise in content development and technical writing in a variety of industries.

Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Honeydew

There's Luxury All-Inclusive and then there's The Signature Collection

For the pinnacle of luxury and elegance in the Caribbean there is only one choice Sandals Signature Collection Resorts. It is surrounded by a pristine coral reef and quite the loveliest of beaches.

If you have spent any time in Africa on safari and stayed in a tented camp, then the accommodation on Wilson Island will not be unfamiliar to you, except this is real five star luxury camping, all inclusive, with food that is just out of this world, and a fantastic wine cellar.

When people think of camping, have never been on a camping safari or stayed at Wilson Island they have this idea of sleeping bags and poles, and leaks and cold water showers.

Wilson Island is the perfect Honeymoon Vacation resort, because when they talk tents what they mean is six permanent tents all looking out over the reef and the ocean designed with the guests ultimate comfort in mind.

All of the tents have raised timber floors, King size beds with Duvets, Bedside Tables, Battery operated bedside lights, deck chairs, bathrobes, bath towels, beach towels, toiletries, and daily housekeeping service.

The only drawback is that because of the fact that Wilson Island uses solar power, all the hot showers are in the central amenities building, where each tent has its own private designated area.

So what will you do on Wilson Island as your perfect honeymoon resort.

The short answer is little or nothing, but you could cheerfully snorkel right off the beach where you will see some fantastic fish, and perhaps even a turtle as well.

You could just lie in a hammock and be lazy, or you can walk round the island, picnic on the beach, and end up watching the sunset drinking champagne, or the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee and biscuits.

Wilson is that kind of place, probably idyllic for three or four days with no mobile phone coverage, no children, no television, just the birds, and the crashing of the sea to listen to.

If you are able to entertain yourself, and you don't mind the unorthodox toilet arrangements, or a communal dinner party atmosphere in the evenings, then Wilson Island could be the perfect honeymoon resort.

To read about more Australia Vacation Destinations go to Peter Stewart writes about in Kenya Safaris as well as authoring several articles about Worldwide Vacation Spots

An Asian Love Story - A Honeymoon Destination in India

So what is honeymoon destination really all about? The Pacific Resort Aitutaki is one of the few luxury small hotels on Aitutaki, and is absolutely ideal spot for a Cook Island Aitutaki honeymoon. Aitutaki is the most beautiful part of the Cook Islands, and is a remote paradise, almost untouched by the 21st century.

The Pacific Resort Aitutaki is a fairly typical Polynesian hideaway with beach front bungalows, suites, villas, and a restaurant where you will eat top class Polynesian cuisine. This means fresh seafood caught daily and fruit from the garden at the hotel.

There are a number of things to do, and sunbathing and snorkelling in crystal clear warm water over the reef right by the hotel comes top of the list. The reef is inhabited by thousands of brightly coloured fish. This is a great place to relax in luxury and isolation after the pressures of a wedding.

The Pacific Resort Aitutaki is over 250 kms north of Rarotonga, and you can get there in 40 minutes by plane, and is the only full-service luxury resort in the Cook Islands. It is on an island atoll, and lies in one of the world's largest lagoons. This is paradise, a secret hideaway, which is why an Aitutaki honeymoon can't be beaten.

When you arrive at Aitutaki on your Cook Island honeymoon you'll be met and given a flower necklace, driven the short distance to the hotel, and greeted in person by the manager.

Choose a beachfront suite, which is in a self contained thatched unit.

They are a very good size, airconditioned, furnished in dark wood, with one wall a sliding window opening onto a veranda, then you are a few steps to the powder white sand beach next to a sea that is an unbelievable blue/turquoise/green colour.

There is a large comfortable bed, TV, DVD player, and stereo system.

A huge bathroom contains a large shower, and his and hers basins, and a door leading to an outside shower as well.

The Pacific resort is very clean, well maintained, the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Meals are taken in the restaurant which overlooks the small pool, mind you who needs a pool when you have a beach to end all beaches outside!! The views of the lagoon, and the reef are almost beyond description, sufficient to say they more than justify choosing an Aitutaki honeymoon!!

The sheer isolation of the Pacific resort means that food is very dependent on local produce, which really means chicken, goat, and fish. The chef does introduce as much variety as possible, but you don't come to such a beautifully isolated and unspoilt part of the world for the food. It's worth eating out and the reception staff are always willing and able to help.

Aitutataki is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The Pacific Resort is a fantastic Aitutaki Honeymoon choice. This is by South Pacific standards probably the top small luxury hotel.

Peter Stewart writes about in Kenya Safaris as well as authoring several articles about Worldwide Vacation Spots

International Honeymoon Holiday Destinations

When it comes to planning your wedding it can often be quite stressful as there are so many decisions to be made. One decision which can be particularly tricky includes where to go on your honeymoon.

Now the honeymoon may come after the wedding but it is still an extremely big decision which should be made as early as possible. Your wedding is supposed to be the best day of your life and the honeymoon is supposed to be the beginning of the rest of your life. So you do not want to have the best day of your life and then move on to a horrid honeymoon as it just would not make a good impression. This means that choosing the right destination for your honeymoon is absolutely essential.

Choosing the Best International Honeymoon Destination

The whole idea of a honeymoon is to get away from it all and forget about the rest of the world for a week or two. This often means that it is much better to travel abroad somewhere rather than stay in the same country. So which international countries are the best for honeymoon vacations?

If Europe is a place where you would love to go then look no further than Italy. Italy is well known for its romance and it is extremely popular with honeymooners all over the world. Situated on the Mediterranean Sea and close towards the Alps, you will find a mixture of both snow capped mountains and gorgeous coastlines. Italy really is an excellent country to travel to on your honeymoon if you are looking for culture, romance and a bustling city atmosphere. It is also packed full of history and thousands of tourists flock there each year to see the ruins and the Coliseum to name but a few of the top attractions.

If you are looking for something slightly more tropical then an excellent choice is Tahiti. Being a Polynesian island, Tahiti boasts fantastic weather, miles of perfect coastline, serene palm trees and an overall sense of pure relaxation. As well as relaxing on the beaches, you also get the chance to experience its many boutiques, shops and cafes and you can even have the option to take an island cruise too. For a harried couple who isn't able to give each other as much quality time and attention as they would like, romantic vacations may be the solution they are looking for. A getaway for two may be all that is needed for them to rediscover what they love about each other.

The usual romantic getaway can be either a honeymoon or a vacation for the holidays. These vacations do allow the time for a couple in love to enjoy each other, spending time together away from the stress of everyday problems. But you don't need to wait for a holiday as an excuse to take some time together. Just wanting to place value on your relationship and take time to make the other feel special is all it takes.

There are a lot of locations all over the world that are really suitable for romantic vacations. For instance, Hawaii is a very popular destination due to its beautiful setting, with its lush vegetation, gorgeous beaches, and mountains in the distance. Other common destinations include Paris. It is not for nothing that it is called the "City of Love".

You don't have to travel a long distance to have a romantic vacation for two. For the couple that wants to get away and yet doesn't want to travel a great distance then a bed and breakfast may be the perfect idea. Most bed and breakfast places have a web site so it wouldn't be hard to find just the one you're looking for. There are many bed and breakfasts that cater mostly to couples that are looking for a romantic weekend away from home.

Chocolates, flowers, champagne and massages are all lovely and can be part of any romantic holiday, but they're not essential for making the holiday a time for a couple to renew their bonds and grow closer than ever. What is essential is taking the time to talk, look after each other and join in activities you both enjoy - this means you'll take precious shared memories home.

In this humbug routine of ours where we do not have time for each other, a short trip or a jaunt away from the routine can trigger the romance or love that once seemed lost, between a couple. Beautiful or ideal settings do not hold any importance for the couple as long as they are together.

Romantic vacations are ideal or today's harried couples to have quality time and attention from each other, a reminder of the things they love about their spouses. For a honeymoon or for enjoying the holidays, a couple can choose from many destinations such as Hawaii or Paris or even a...

Savor A Melony Treat In True Honeydew Style

Historically speaking, melons have long been a part of our diet in one form or another. Available in different varieties, melons are a top favorite not only with the Americans but also in other countries of the world, the chief reason being its categorization as a fruit cum vegetable. This perplexity also pertains to its history. Food historians fluctuate between Persia, Afghanistan, or Armenia as the probable locales where melons were first consumed. China is not the best bet among the historians, as many believe that the Chinese consumed the wild bitter variety, which could not be eaten raw. Melons were introduced in Europe in the 16th century, but were grown under glass bells, in glasshouses, or in steam-pits. Meanwhile, after reaching China, melons slowly began to develop into cooking varieties, and reached the New World when Columbus took the seeds to Haiti on his second voyage. When his men had eaten the fruit and discarded the seeds, huge acres of crop appeared all over.

Honeydew melon is one of the most savored varieties of melons, especially for Americans. Ancient Egyptians, thousands of years ago, and ages before that in Persia, where the muskmelon is thought to have originated, prized this sweet, succulent member of the muskmelon family. Luckily for Americans, honeydew melons are now grown in California and parts of the Southwest. This nutritious fruit snack is rich in Vitamin C and is a great source of foliate, which is known for its power of overcoming birth defects during child expectancy. A cup of honeydew yields just 60 calories and around 70% of our body's daily requirement of vitamin C. Its ample water content also compensates loss of body water during hot summer days. Being low on sodium, and nil on fat and cholesterol, honeydew melons offer 100% on the critical energy component found in functional foods. These nutritional advantages make it an ideal choice for both weight control and general health. This juicy melon also offers stiff resistance against cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes and cancer.

With so many nutritional benefits on offer, honeydew melons have become a hot favorite, especially in the US. It's however, essential to judge the quality of the fruit prior to its purchase. Honeydew melons are distinguished by their smooth, creamy-yellow rind and pastel green flesh that's amazingly succulent and juicy. A perfectly ripe honeydew melon can be judged by its wrinkling on the surface, often detected only by touch. Ranging in weight from 4 to 8 pounds, honeydew melons need to be picked judiciously. It's important to choose only those melons that are too heavy for their size. If the melon is under ripe, it is advisable to keep them at room temperature. Ripe honeydew melons can be wrapped in plastic bags and stored in the refrigerator for five days. This wonderful melon treat can be used in salads, deserts, fruit soups, or as a garnish. The common and the best among the winter melon varieties, honeydew melons can be savored in different forms as part of your low calorie healthy diet.

Suzanne Macguire is an Internet marketing professional with expertise in content development and technical writing in a variety of industries.

Watermelon-Cantaloupe-Honeydew

Travel to Goa - The Beach Capital of India

Goa is a small state in the sub-continent of India. First of all you can almost guarantee

sunny warm weather as we have 300 sunny days in

the year. South Africa remains one of the most

popular wedding destinations in the world. The

tumbling exchange rate means that your pounds,

dollars and euros can buy you a wedding that

makes the luxurious affordable and a honeymoon

that will be above and beyond your dreams! South

Africa is geared up to tourists and tourism in

general so it is a very "user-friendly" place to

visit. The banking system is sophisticated.

Telecommunications are advanced and are under

improvement all the time, particularly in the

light of the 2010 Soccer World Cup that is taking

place here. The planning of your wedding would

pose no problem as there are any number of

wedding planners working independently or on

behalf of some beautiful venues who would be able

to assist you with making your big day a reality.

The next decision to make is where to have your

wedding? You may wish to take your wedding party

of friends and family on a holiday with you,

getting married and then having an African

Holiday while you are in this part of the world.

There are so many gorgeous venues that could

accommodate your party exclusively, where you

could have the wedding ceremony and honeymoon,

either in the African bush or on a gorgeous

tropical beach, or you could combine the two

experiences. You will be spoilt for choice.

There is another option that is gaining in

popularity and that could also be incorporated in

your plans and that is a golf safari holiday.

There are some spectacular golf estates and

courses throughout South Africa and these are

close enough to other attractions so that if

there are those in your party who would rather

game view, go to the beach or shop, then that is

what they could do!

Don't forget the options for the extreme sports

lovers who want to tie the knot! There are

mountaineering and hiking destinations. Or there

is white water rafting, kayaking and spectacular

desert dune surfing. For the surfers and board

riders our coastline has endless beaches, from

Cape Town to Jeffrey's Bay, Durban and further

north. If diving and snorkeling are your thing,

there is the destination for you. How does

snorkeling on a coral reef on a subtropical beach

in Mozambique sound, or diving off the Natal

Coast in Sodwana Bay? The possibilities are

endless!

If you would like browse through venues in

Southern Africa visit:

Why the Bees are Dying

Diseases and parasites, such as the invading Eurasian varroa mite, when looked at in the same light as other modern agricultural issues, actually presents itself as a red herring for anyone in pursuit of the central cause of bee decimation.

While definite losses have accrued as a result of varroa, it is almost certain to be a temporary phase. The situation is not unlike problems in other areas of modern agriculture. Using the cattle industry as a choice example, it is not actually pathogenic forces that are threatening stocks but, rather, decades of contrivance and intercession by means of antibiotics, hormones, and other artificial "propping up" of the species that have weakened and degraded the overall constitution of the species. (And let us call events like Mad Cow disease a symptom, not a cause, of the bottoming out of the cattle industry.)

Witness the decidedly hale condition of the bison alongside the debilitated circumstance of cattle. In a word, predation strengthens a species, and interference with that predation leads to debilitation. The finest shepherd ever invented, in terms of a keeper for the bison herds, was Canis lupus, the common wolf.

There are times, and this includes livestock, bees, and any other biological form, when a producer has to "take in on the chin" and let the species evolve by allowing the surviving, adaptable members of the population reproduce. The result will be an enviable level of wholesomeness in both species and product.

This leads on to the heart of the matter - too much interference. For example, in a bid to avoid having to work with a species that can become what humankind deems as overly aggressive, we have been cultivating a more "docile" temperament in the bee, therefore, unlike its more combative relatives in other parts of the world, who are able to bite at, mutilate, and dispose of the varroa mite, our more passive breeds are not equipped to handle these intruders.

Excessive interference and the foresight of Rudolf Steiner

In deference to the spiritual science of Rudolf Steiner, it needs to be said that this modern Renaissance man predicted in 1923 that if humanity continued to cultivate the honeybees by artificial means, we would, within eighty years, witness the mass disappearance of the bees.

Arguably the best-kept secret of the 20th Century, in terms of a resource for social transformation, Rudolf Steiner, in his series of lectures entitled "The Bees," gave numerous indications to portray the intricate nature of the honeybee community.

In capsule, Steiner warned against both meddling with the natural process of hive society and artificially manipulation of queen bees.

The following list of ways humanity is known to interfere with the natural process of bee life, while substantial, is no doubt incomplete:

- The raising of larva in separate quarters, arbitrary feeding of royal jelly to produce queens, then shipping by post to keepers.

- Selection of bee populations for docility, de-selecting for aggression.

- In contrast to the normal 5 or 6-year life span of a queen is, "re-queening" after one or two years.

- The grafting of queens - moving larva to artificial cups, then cages for transport.

- Supplanting guard bees with protective measures of humans.

- Keeping hives hyper clean, to reduce production of "nuisance" propolis.

- Using chemical control agents for disease and pests.

- Providing ready-made combs in place of bee-constructed combs, to save work (production time) for the bees.

- In a similar vein, supplying sheets of wax, so bees don't have to gather and secret their own wax.

- Use of ventilators so the bees don't have to tend this.

- Use of queen excluders to prevent eggs being laid in inconvenient areas of the hive.

- Moving of hives over long distances at the will of human intention.

- Clipping of queens' wings.

- Agricultural practices consisting of monocultures that wreak havoc on honeybee diets, limiting options once the dominant crop is no longer flowering.

The foregoing list delineates some of the many strategies used to manipulate production. Clearly, mankind is capable of invention. In fact, we are able to wax clever, even to the point of genius. However, it appears that when we fail to perceive the whole picture, we fall short of the masterful way that a naturally developing hive proceeds.

Perhaps there are effective ways to work in harmony with the bees, even using a certain degree of creative intervention. But just which particular intercessions will time prove to be both wise and productive, in terms of a win-win for both bee and human?

Who can know, but those who gain utmost understanding of the synergy and multi-dimension of the bee kingdom?

Leo Tolstoy, after his own lengthy study of bees, had this to say: "The higher the human intellect rises in the discovery [of the bees' aim], the more obvious it becomes that the final aim is beyond its reach."

The most essential thing we learn from reviewing the Steiner material is that beekeepers would do well to acquire a metaphysical understanding of bees and the complex masterpiece of the hive.

Mystery lives in the hive, and within the golden elixir that is honey, mystery we have yet to, or may never, discover.

Spiritual ecology holds that the first step in addressing an issue pertaining to the realm of nature is to deepen our understanding of the overall synergy of the particular eco-community in question.

Meanwhile, the short answer, at least for consumers, is to buy only honey produced in an organic manner.

To access the complete article on this issue, as presented by Earth Vision, visit the Earth Vision site.

Josef Graf is the coordinator of Insight21 and Earth Vision - presenting answers for the 21st Century.

What to Look for in a Honeymoon Resort

When you are planning your honeymoon you want to make sure everything turns out just the way you had always imagined. You want a beautiful and romantic vacation that will allow you to revel in your new marriage and spouse. So, you probably have already started reading about every honeymoon resort located in Cabo San Lucas. But, what exactly should you be looking for? The following suggestions will help you find the perfect Cabo San Lucas resort for your honeymoon.

First of all, when you are looking for a Cabo resort you want to find one that meets your expectations of your honeymoon. If you have always dreamed of waking up and walking right out onto the beach from your Cabo San Lucas vacation rentals then that is an element you need to look for. Vacation rentals without beach access are simply not worth looking at if this is an important part of your honeymoon dream.

Something else important to look at is price. And, while your honeymoon is a once in a lifetime experience you will want to go all out. However, keep in mind that starting out as a new couple in debt is not that great of a plan. So, do some research on prices and find something that is within your price range. You will still have a wonderful time and won't be in debt, which is something you will appreciate more later.

Also, consider looking for all inclusive resorts. This means that everything is included in the package price. All you do is pay the travel agent and show up for your honeymoon and enjoy all there is to enjoy! These packages that are all inclusive are really popular and worthwhile.

You should also check on location. You want your honeymoon resort to be out of the way to an extent but still close enough to everything else that you can get around easily. Talk to past honeymooners to find out how they rate different Cabo resorts and that will help you choose one for your own honeymoon.

These are just some suggestions to help you find a honeymoon resort. Make a list of things that are important to you and then start searching. This is the easiest way to ensure that you find the resort that will make your honeymoon dreams come true.

Caitlina Fuller is a freelance writer. Why not consider a Bed and Breakfast? As the public become more discerning about the standard of accommodation that they demand, the hospitality industry has had to respond. Forgot your old pre-conceived ideas of Bed and Breakfast style accommodation you might have and start considering the modern version which often include great locations, spacious and luxurious rooms, gracious hosts, fabulous breakfasts and the sort of peace that you would never experience in a large hotel.

You may be concerned about the idea of staying in somebody's home when all you want is some peace and quiet. Experienced hosts will sense very quickly as to whether you are a guest who wants to be left alone or whether you are happy to mix.

If you are new to B & B accommodation, it may be wise to stay either somewhere that you have been referred to or one that is part of a group. Those B & B's that belong to particular lodging groups are monitored regularly and have to undergo a rigorous evaluation process to become part of the group. Most countries that offer B & B accommodation have directories are available which will rate and review various establishments. The internet is obviously a good resource for researching and finding reviews about various B & B establishments.

The B & B industry has been undergoing a renaissance over the past decade. As the public desire different styles of accommodation, the B & B market is responding by offering what people are look for whether that be luxury, privacy, a great location or just a change from the impersonal hotel experience.

There is such a variety in the style of accommodation various B & B's can offer. Whether you are looking for a honeymoon destination, a romantic get away, a family style holiday, a reunion or even a business conference, B & B's can cater for it all.

Why not give it a try? You may well be pleasantly surprised.

Sue Taylor is the webmaster of several travel sites and she has stayed in many different styles of accommodation. It is truly romantic. You get away from the city life back into the lap of nature. Just imagine cruising through the ocean with the stars above and breathing fresh air!

You would find many more couples contemplating a romantic trip. Such couples would add romance to the atmosphere on the ship. Now it is your choice to either befriend them as in " more the merrier " or just be with your loved one to work on your relationship and get closer.

Usually, honeymooners decide on a sailing vacation. If you two are a honeymoon couple then do loads of window-shopping before booking a cruise line. Along with attractive rates, most cruise ships also offer amazing privileges. The newly weds are spoilt by them with special fluffy robes, a wedding cake and breakfast in bed. You may even get to reserve your table at the restaurant, which is a rare opportunity. These privileges may not be free. Yet, you could still look around and find some good deals to choose from. It is still possible for you to plan and organize some romantic surprises for your partner. For instance, you could order and arrange some flowers in your cabin room even before boarding the cruise.

Carnival Cruises are popular not only with just the newlyweds but with all those couples who wish to go honeymooning again to rekindle their relationships. To create a mystical atmosphere in your cabin, you could place some flags and balloons. It would truly feel like a journey into the romantic world. These decorations will be charged money but your wedding cake is free when you dine on the ship for the first time.

You could add to the enjoyment and push invisible buttons by purchasing a honeymoon package that may include T-shirts, champagne, cameras and other such items that would not even cross your mind.

Princess Cruises is another popular cruise line. You will find that there is so much to do when planning a weeding. You will invitations, menus, venues, and more. You will want to make sure that you are creating a wonderful and blissful scene. You will find that there is a lot of things that you will need to do, such as, organizing, budgeting, hiring, and arranging. You will find that the wedding planning can be very stressful.

Have you ever thought about an extraordinary idea like a cruise ship? This can be very convenient. You will find that the cruise line will take the time to organize the wedding so that you can have everything done for you. They will take care of the ceremony, reception, and even the honeymoon. They will make sure that your wedding is everything that you would ever want from the beginning to end. You will find that there are lot of crusie lines that have had weddings on board. You will be able to allow them to take care of everything. If you think about it, a wedding planner is going to cost you a couple thousand. And they will take care of everything so that you can have a wonderful and impressive wedding on a ship for way less than what you would pay for a traditional wedding. You will also want to take in consideration that the prices will also include your honeymoon.

You should also not expect that all your guests will get a ticket and sail around the world with you, celebrating your wedding. Most cruise lines will allow you to have your guests on board for the wedding, but then they may leave before the ship sets out for its destination. They will allow the guests to have the ability to enjoy the wedding and the reception and then they will allow them to get off so that your guests don't have to pay for the cruise or you don't have to pay for the cruise. There are lot of ships that will stay in port or they will go out in the water during the wedding. Some people will find difficulties because you need to stay in the country's territory or on international waters so that you don't run in any legal problems with your marriage.

The cruise lines will do everything in their capabilities to get the wedding going smoothly. Most cruise lines offer wedding packages at very reasonable prices. You will want to do some research on the following lines: Carnival Cruises, Princess Cruises, and Disney cruise. With the Princess cruises you will be able to get a package that will allow you to feel like a Princess and your groom a prince before and after the wedding. They will have romance in the air by getting a string of instruments, decorate with flowers, and add candles for added romance. This is a wedding that you'll never forget and none of your guests will forget.

Focusing on informating about Alicante, Kurt Schefken wrote normally for . Articles are a great way to find tips, one of which might be the difference between an average fish and a trophy. A single tip could be the difference between one bite in 2 days and a stringer full of fish in two hours. You just never know when the next little tip might help you, so I'm going to provide you with some of the fish catching tips I've learned over the years in the hopes that one or two of them might help you catch more fish. Here we go:

1) Match Your Gear To The Fish - A very big mistake that many anglers make is using gear that's entirely too large for the type of fish they intend to catch. For Example I've been fishing on trout streams and seen discarded fishing line that was at least 10 pound test! This should be illegal, in my opinion. The biggest fish that you're going to catch out of a normal trout stream is 5 pounds. And that would be a complete monster. So there is no reason fishing line over 6 lb test should ever be used. For a normal trout stream, I use 4 pound test. Your gear, including your rod, reel, line, and lures/bait should be matched to the type of fish swimming in the water that you're fishing. If everything is matched properly, it will result in more bites, which will in turn result in more fish.

2) Have An Efficient Way To Carry Your Bait - Most anglers spend entirely too much time fumbling around with their bait. Not to mention the fact that bait containers get left all over the banks of our rivers, streams, and lakes. Employing an apparatus such as a bait bag will enable you to spend more time fishing and less time fumbling around for bait. As you know, the more time that can be spent with your line in the water, the better.

Pay Attention To Both The Weather & Moon - One of the simplest ways to catch more fish, is to be fishing on the days when the fish are most active. Certain phases of the moon result in the fish being more active, and thus more willing to bite. The same goes for weather. When certain things happen with the weather, fish tend to feed more. Knowing what to look for and when to fish can help you greatly in catching more fish. And paying attention to both the weather and moon costs you nothing, and pays big dividends in the amount and size of the fish you catch.

Use Gang Hooks - What are gang hooks? Gang hooks are simply two small hooks tied in tandem. They are, without question the best way to present live bait (especially worms). If you use live bait, you need to begin using gang hooks. The use of gang hooks will result in more hook ups. Remember, the more naturally the bait is presented to the fish, the better.

The tips presented above will help you catch more fish. Actually, the catching is up to you, but these tips will help you hook more fish, you're still going to have to fight them yourself.
