Cheers!<br /><br />The Robonova was listed as the third best gadget of 2006, behind the <a href="http://www.wii-console.org.uk" target="_blank">Wii Console</a> and the <a href="http://www.mp3daily.co.uk/2006/10/best-mp3-players-for-christmas.html" target="_blank">Squeeze Box 3</a>.<br /><br />So what did they have to say? Well, I hope they don't mind me placing their comments here:<br /><blockquote><em>Other robots are more "intelligent", but none are as physical, as graceful or as versatile as the Robonova I. Its in-built abilities - dancing, cart-wheeling, doing press-ups (!), and more. If you tire of them, you can program it via [your] PC to perform just about any movement you can think of. Nothing else comes close.</em></blockquote>We certainly echo their views. Hitec have created a truely fantastic robot. For a slightly cheaper robot, T3 have listed the <a href="http://www.toy-robots.co.uk/mindstorms/2006/07/mindstorms-nxt-review.html" target="_blank">Mindstorms NXT</a> at 56 and the <a href="http://www.robosapienrs.co.uk" target="_blank">Robosapien RS Media</a> at 86.getvisiblenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31063594.post-1152804717352888632006-07-13T08:25:00.000-07:002006-07-13T08:33:51.130-07:00Hitec Robonova VideosWe've put together a collection of videos that show the <strong>Robonova</strong> in action - enjoy!<br /><br /><object width="383" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/f1FUVeY5XkQ"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/f1FUVeY5XkQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="383" height="315"></embed></object><br><br><br /><object width="383" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SZB51ehXDrU"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SZB51ehXDrU" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="383" height="315"></embed></object><br><br><br /><object width="383" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Om_s_oBc2sk"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Om_s_oBc2sk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="383" height="315"></embed></object><Br><br><br /><object width="383" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NnfBffVzwvw"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NnfBffVzwvw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="383" height="315"></embed></object><br><br>getvisiblenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31063594.post-1152786007261390172006-07-13T03:11:00.000-07:002006-07-13T08:41:31.426-07:00Robonova Robot<a href="http://www.robonova.info/out/iwoot1.htm" target="_blank"><img style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://www.robonova.info/uploaded_images/robnova-715801.jpg" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:78%;"><strong>Quick Buy:</strong> </span><a href="http://www.robonova.info/out/iwoot1.htm" target="_blank"><span style="font-size:78%;">I Want One of Those</span></a> <span style="font-size:78%;">/ </span><a href="http://www.robonova.info/out/play1.htm" target="_blank"><span style="font-size:78%;">Play com</span></a><br /><br />There seems to be many new robots around these days, but few can be as good as the Robonova-I. It's miles ahead of anyone else.<br /><br />There are two main versions of the Robonova but the Robonova-I is the one you'll probably be going for as it comes pre-assembled.<br /><br />The Robonova is controlled by 16 powerful digital servos which allow it to do 26 pre-programmed movements such as walking, running, do flips, cartwheels, dance, do press-ups and more. All this at a touch of a button.<br /><br />There's also the ability to programme the Robonova yourself via a pc link up.<br /><br />Just watch the video:<br /><br /><br /><object height="272" width="389" classid="CLSID:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" name="player"><param name="URL" value="http://www.ivc4.com/iwoot/robnov.wmv"><param name="rate" value="1"><param name="balance" value="0"><param name="currentPosition" value="0"><param name="defaultFrame" value=""><param name="playCount" value="1"><param name="autoStart" value="0"><param name="currentMarker" value="0"><param name="invokeURLs" value="-1"><param name="baseURL" value=""><param name="volume" value="50"><param name="mute" value="0"><param name="uiMode" value="full"><param name="stretchToFit" value="0"><param name="windowlessVideo" value="0"><param name="enabled" value="-1"><param name="enableContextMenu" value="-1"><param name="fullScreen" value="0"><param name="SAMIStyle" value=""><param name="SAMILang" value=""><param name="SAMIFilename" value=""><param name="captioningID" value=""><param name="enableErrorDialogs" value="0"><param name="_cx" value="10292"><param name="_cy" value="7197"><br /> <br /> <br /> </object><br /><strong>Features</strong><br /><ul><li>The remote controlled walking, cartwheeling, dancing, flipping, running robot. </li><li>Pre-assembled, "ready to walk" Robonova. </li><li>The fully articulating mechanical man is controlled with 16 powerful HSR-8498HB digital servos built specifically for the ROBONOVA-I by Hitec. </li><li>The control board is the nucleus of the Robonova and can operate up to 24 servos and 16 optional accessory modules. </li><li>The control board has a flexible interface so you can customise your Robonova. </li><li>Custom gold anodized metal servo brackets create a sturdy but lightweight exoskeleton. </li><li>Durable plastic body case components that protect the control board and battery. </li><li>An over-voltage current protection. </li><li>Super strong Karbonite gear trains. </li><li>"Feedback" technology for simple programming. </li><li>Requires 1 x 5 Cell NiMH rechargeable battery.
