Same old thing Pat's win the other team loses..It was not a great game for Brady and the passing game. The Jet's used 3 different quarterbacks and had more yards passing than the Pat's but I think to beat the Patriots it's going to have to be a screwball play...maybe like the one in this video....

FOXBOROUGH - After an evening in which the Patriots came within a couple of plays of losing to a mediocre Eagles team, needing a comeback to extend their winning streak to 11 games this season, there were more than a few moments that could be dissected, and perhaps criticized, by the Patriots staff. Few of those plays involved Wes Welker. But that didn't prevent Welker from taking responsibility, nitpicking through his career performance - and making his case for some tossing and turning.

The Eagles couldn't hold back receiver Wes Welker; he finished with 13 catches for 149 yards.

I think it's great to see that SI took on this subject, re The Patriots running up the score. I enjoyed every minute of that game and why shouldn't we. The other team has to make some plays the Patriots shouldn't have to play Nice...It's football. On the other hand I hope that someone doesn't take a cheap shot on a Patriot player because their team was under performing.

This was going to be an assault, a full-on, guns blazing attack on the New England Patriots and the unsportsmanlike, classless way in which they have run up the score on a host of opponents this season.

But upon further review, as an NFL referee might put it, we just can't do it. We can't work up a decent amount of outrage over the way the Pats are rubbing other teams' noses in it, as they did in their 56-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. Truth be told, we're actually kind of enjoying it.

he Patriots make all of that seem possible with their precision and their relentlessness, especially on offense. It's hard to criticize Belichick for leaving the Brady Bunch in longer than necessary when it's so entertaining to watch them perform.

This story could be true which is a sad state of affairs..A lot has been made about Brady and the Pat's running up points, but isn't scoring part of the game. Would the opposing team actually appreciate their opponents "taking it easy on them" I would think they would be insulted. The game ain't over till the fat lady sings. Any player that would intentionally try to hurt another should be banned from the game.

Red Sox Win the World Series

Minnie didn't couldn't take her eyes off the game last nigh as she watched the Red Sox win their 2nd World Series in 4 years.

She munched on some green peas and had a little milk during the game but there wasn't a repeat of the crazy party she had the other night.

She hopes to go to the celebratory parade this week.

Schilling, Last Game in Fenway??

Schilling pitched 6 strong innings and the Red Sox relievers Okijima and Papelbon closed it down. Red Sox win Game 2 of the 2007 World Series.

Heading to Denver now for Game 3, the Red Sox hold a 2 games to none lead and for Kurt Schilling, as he waved to the Boston Faithful, it could be his last game in Fenway.

Should Boston try to keep him?

There's a growing sentiment around the NFL that the New England Patriots are piling on, needlessly tacking on points at the end of games to flog their opponents to a much greater degree.
Did Bill Belichick really have to bring Tom Brady back into Sunday's game at Miami, his team still up 21 points? Or how about the week before against Dallas, when Kyle Eckel plowed in from the 1-yard line with 19 seconds left to play on fourth down, the team already ahead by two scores? Wouldn't taking a knee have sufficed?
While Belichick eloquently has defended those plays, there's still a pretty good case to be made against him. The Pats could very well be found guilty of running up the score in more than a few of their first seven games.

Well Terry and JD must be reading the blog....OKAY I doubt it. But Francona did play Ellsbury and removed not Drew...whew, he hit the 1st inning Grand Slam for the Red Sox last night, but Coco Crisp. Crisp has been great in center field but unable to get a bat on the ball.

Ellsbury is the future Red Sox center fielder and while he got a hit last night, he also had a couple of baad at bats. Made a great effort to catch a ball at the wall, had he just played it off the wall it would have been a double instead of a triple but we had a big lead at the time.

Scary Moment...Gagne closed it in the ninth, but when he came out everyone I was watching it with remarked that it was a good thing we had a 10 run lead...

Go Sox...win Game & tonight!!
