Lin, I've had similar comments. I usually let them slide down my back, much like other things that aren't worth getting upset about. I think this individual had good intentions and wanted to compliment you, but he doesn't really understand a woman's psychology, does he? Personaly, I think of age much like I think of race or gender. It should NOT matter. It should not have to be pointed out. A friend of mine once tried to make that case by putting 99 in the age field of her modeling portfolio, and her account was temporarily suspended as a result. Age is nothing but a number. Some people attach too much importance to those numbers. How tall you are, how old you are, how much you weigh. It's silly and irrelevant. What counts is what's inside and what you bring out to the world, I think.

I really don't think vanity, is the same as wanting to hang onto some of our better qualities of our youth..
