One of the most enjoyable work times I have had in a long time was with Lyndsey and Bob Mann. They were married in a town just north of Cincinnati, OH. The weather was a little overcast, but it turned out to be a great day for shooting wedding photographs. The rain held off, so we could not have asked for any more. Congratulations, Lyndsey and Bob!!! Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your wonderful new beginning!

Santa Clara, California – Part 2

On Friday, after shooting formal family photos for the Trieber family, I went with Ryan Thompson and his family to the Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay. This beautiful hotel sits atop tall cliffs with an amazing view of the California coastline. We spent awhile on the private beach taking photographs of the Thompson family. We had perfect weather and a wonderful time. After rolling around in the sand for awhile, we went into the hotel to be treated like royalty as we enjoyed a delightful meal overlooking the spectacular sunset. It was a perfect end to a wonderful day. Thank you again, Thompson family for a great time and for treating me so well! Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Santa Clara, California

Recently, I had the privilege of traveling to Santa Clara, Claifornia to shoot photos for North Valley Baptist Church and Pastor Jack Trieber. It was a wonderful week! They are some of the most gracious people I have ever met. Also, while out there, I took some personal family photos. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with the Trieber family.

Tim and Sarah

Tim and Sarah were married on July 28 at a beautiful ceremony at Kloc's complete with a full Marine Corps detachment. The wedding was beautiful as well as the couple--they were a handsome pair! Kloc's is an awesome place to have a wedding. After the wedding, we went back to their home to take some photos of just the two of them. I even got to ride with them in their Mustang Cobra! We had a blast together and they were a great couple to photograph. Congratulations Tim and Sarah! Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to shoot your wedding.

The Brock Wedding

This past Saturday, I had the privilege of traveling to a suburb of Gastonia, NC to shoot wedding photos for Joe and Erica Brock. Dallas, NC is a small little town with some great places to shoot! We had perfect weather all day. We found an old jailhouse built in 1836 or something and got some really good pictures there. Next to the jail was a house called "The White House". Of course, it looked nothing like where the President lives, but it was white none the less.

Joe and Erica, we want to congratulate you on your new life together! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!

Recently, I had the privilege to travel to Knoxville again for a wedding. Rachel and Tony were a blast to photograph. It was plain to see that they were very much into one another and very much in love. It was hard to choose which photos were my favorites. They made my job a whole lot easier. On Memorial Day, I had the honor of photographing Pvt. Jon Rode · United States Army. Jon is shipping overseas shortly. It was special to me that, on this national day of remembrance, I was able to photograph one of members of our armed services.

Chattanooga, TN

I drove all day yesterday to get to Chattanooga, TN for a lunch appointment with a fellow photographer friend, Nathan Holritz. Nathan has spent much time helping me hone my photography and has been an inspiration to me. His giving spirit and kindness is rare these days. We had a delightful time together eating Mexican food! Anytime I eat Mexican food, I am right at home. We ate at a place in Chattanooga near the Hamilton Place Mall called El Mesón. Talk about good guacamole! I love the green, snotty stuff!

After an enjoyable lunch, I drove further south to LaFayette, GA to meet with another good friend, Mitchell. We headed off to (go ahead and guess!) --- another Mexican restaurant, Don Lolo's. We discussed business over more guacamole and tacos! How I love the smell of food from south of the border!

I am grateful for the blessing of safety. God is so good to me! Let us be grateful to the Lord for His bountiful hand on us.

Finally, Another Post!

It is hard to believe that April is almost half gone! Thing have been really busy for us these past few weeks. I finally got my camera back after sending it to Nikon a second time. Nikon has awesome customer service. They fixed my camera and returned it promptly when they promised. It is good to have it in my hands after such a long respite.

This past Saturday, I had the priviledge of spending some time with my friends, Mitchell and Kristan. They were alot of fun to be with! As you may notice in the first photo, we stopped along a Knoxville overpass to shoot the photo with the Sunsphere in the background. Yes, it was dangerous with cars speeding by, but we made it safe and sound! Thanks for the fun times!

On March 13, we were blessed with a second little girl--Katie Grace. Her big sister, Abbie, loves pinching her nose! Few things are more important in life than family. Saturday, we had the privilege of being in Knoxville to shoot the wedding of Jessica Smiddy and Don Reagan. What a wonderful couple! It was plain to see the love they had for one another. They made the photography job so much easier!

It was supposed to rain most of the day, but it ended up being great weather instead.

A Way to Give...

At this time of year, many speak of the things they would like to receive. Recently, I heard from a fellow photographer about an organization called Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. This organization connects photographers with parents who experience early infant death. The professional photographer will go to the hospital location for a private and sensitive photography session. All photography services are donated to this cause on a volunteer basis. Since we have been blessed with a beautiful, healthy child and a second on the way in March, I thought this would be a good way to give to others. We are excited to be a part of this wonderful charity!
