Hi Everyone, this blog has nothing to do with photography but everything to do with feeling great!! As you can imagine, I carry alot of equipment on my shoulders during sessions and also spend alot of time on the computer in photoshop. Orange County Photographer Honors Local Heroes

Orange County photographer and owner of Treasured Moments Photography, Carol Bridges was recently part of something exciting here in Orange County. Carol took part in the Treasured Moments and Bell Tower Foundation Local Heroes Luncheon, a luncheon in which she honored heroes of Southern California. The scene was an emotional one as Carol honored these heroes with recognition of their bravery and deeds. The five heroes all received award statues, a Bell Tower Foundation pen, a photo, and gift card in honor of their courageous acts.

"These people are part of the fabric of our community" stated Orange County photographer Carol Bridges. "We all met in 2008 and they touched my heart." The winners where photographed in Carol's Orange County photography studio where many of the presenters and winners wept. The event was such a huge success that Carol hopes that the event becomes an annual gala.

When asked what she thought of the event, winner Leah Gove stated "I'll never forget it!" and thanked Carol Bridges for her kindness, a true testament to the power of such an event. Luke, Leah and Greyson Gove – Maj. Luke Gove deployed with Marines in Iraq 10 days after his son Greyson was born. Bridges honored the husband for his service to America and his wife Leah for her perseverance while he is gone. The family lives in Aliso Viejo.

Orange County Event Photography

Many people enjoy throwing some type of party on or near Halloween. The majority of these parties are often costumed affairs that bring friends, business associates, and sometimes strangers together for an evening of fun. This Halloween Carol Bridges of Treasured Moments Photography had the honor of attending a Halloween costume party put on by Le Tip of Coto De Caza. Making the event even more special was the fact that it was held at home of Vicky Gunvalson who is best known for appearing on Bravo network's "The Real Housewives of Orange County".

The event provided all who attended a night of fun and games and a chance to network with other members of the Coto De Caza Le Tip whose member count is now at 32 and growing. When asked what she likes best about Le Tip Coto De Caza, Carol had this to say. "The great thing about Le Tip is that only one person is allowed for each business category in any chapter."

Summertime Photography Fun!

Summer is here and it is a great time for Orange County Photography! It really is the perfect time of year for shooting photos if you think about it.... First of all, the kids are out of school! No trying to round up everyone on their busy school schedules. Second of all, you know you have been out in the sun so every one's faces are bound to have a little color on them. That sunny-summer-glow will certainly show through into your beautiful Orange County family Portraits. Third, the days are longer, giving us more hours in the day to meet up at a destination shot, or perhaps even shoot a great sunset engagement photo session. Lastly and most importantly, outdoor photos turn out so well and what other time of year can we count on the weather to be absolutely gorgeous then now?! Every summer day in Southern California is laced with beautiful sunshine and puffy white clouds what a perfectly natural backdrop for a great photo session!

So, lets talk location.... As with everything from your business to your home, the key to success is location, location, location! In Southern California we have access to MANY gorgeous beaches. There seems to be a beach for every personality and type of family. Are you a sporty fun family? Maybe think about grabbing all of your beach gear, surfboards and all, and heading to Trestles or Huntington Beaches. Here you can catch a glimpse at local surfers and rollerbladers. Wouldn't it be fun to get the whole family in their roller blades and let me catch some action shots of you all jetting down a scenic boardwalk??? The best pictures happen when everyone is having fun... this sure sounds like fun to me! Maybe you are more of the Hip/trendy kind of family. Perhaps Newport Beach photography is more up your alley. There is still access to a nice boardwalk full of the hustle and bustle of Newport's finest. There are many great spots in the area that we can explore and beautiful homes to set as a background. Laguna Beach photography is one of my favorites. This quiet, quaint little town has some very scenic beaches. With multi-million dollar home set high above the bluffs and stunning beaches for miles around, it's no wonder this beach attracts hundreds of photographers every year!

A final Orange County family photography note: HAVE FUN!!!! I mentioned this above, but I must reiterate. When you choose a spot that reflects your family best, they will be most comfortable there. Always bring some extra clothes for your little ones to beach shoots. We get some of our favorite shots when the family is splashing in the water! Don't be scared to let them get dirty, like in the above note, kids LOVE getting down and dirty in the sand... and it shows through in their BEAMING faces.
