Authority's warn if you see Mrs. Palin to not approach and instead contact authorities immediately. She is believed to be dangerous to the Democrat socialist agenda. The FBI have released the following wanted poster to aide in her capture.

There is no mistaking Republicans disaffection with John McCain, but some how he is still locked in a virtual tie with the already anointed Democrat nominee, Barack Obama. Today's pick of Alaska governor Sarah Palin was an ingenious one by Senator McCain. It not only re-energizes conservative voters, but will sway many independent voters sitting on the fence to vote his way.

Just over 12 hours after Barack Obama's historic acceptance speech the headlines have been replaced with story after story of the Republican vice presidential nominee. In just a matter of hours we've learned more about this woman than we've learned about Barack Obama after four years of campaigning and liberal bloggers are clearly getting worried.

She's been attacked for the names she gave her children (we all know how "normal" Barack Obama's name is). She's been attacked for being the runner-up to Miss Alaska (because apparently democrats only like ugly women). She's been attacked by Obama's campaign for lack of "foreign policy experience" (apparently Obama's lack there of is no big deal). She's been attacked for being married to the same man for 20 years. She's been attacked for firing the Public Safety Commissioner, a position that serves at her will (and let's not forget Palin has been extremely cooperative with the Democrat led investigation). She's been attacked for being a "big oil" Republican (even though she returned the money her state received from increased energy revenues directly to the citizens of Alaska). She's been attacked for not having lead a big state like California or New York (but she does have an 85% approval rating). She's been attacked for being a pro-life mother (as if choosing to give her daughter, born with down syndrome, life is a bad thing). She's been attacked for being fiscally responsible and telling congress they can take that bridge to nowhere and stick it (apparently she doesn't eat pork). She's been attacked for being the mother of a son who will soon be boots on the ground in Iraq (as if that doesn't make her the most knowledgeable about the effects of deployment on a family). She's been attacked again and again by liberals all over for the very things that make her the perfect Republican VP nominee.

"She's not ready to be VP." More like Democrats are not ready to face the first true conservative to get their party's nomination since Reagan.

Yep, if I were a Democrat. I'd be worried too.

Huge Blunder May Cause Problems for Obama Campaign

A group of us here at the Kansas Citian were discussing our plans for watching Thursday's big keynote by Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama when something occurred to us that apparently hasn't occurred to the organizers or the media yet.

This new blunder comes on the heels of several other recent missteps by the campaign. First there was the delayed response to attacks on Obama for his association with Rev. Wright. Then the campaign rolled out their own presidential seal, perhaps jumping the gun just a bit. There was the faux Nazi salute his supporters put together, which has thankfully been absent at the convention. Most recently, there was the failed announcement of Obama's VP pick, Joe Biden, which came too late in the news cycle and was leaked before his own supporters could be informed by the campaign's much publicized text message announcement. As a result, the Obama campaign failed to receive the bounce in the polls that commonly follows such a major announcement.

This new blunder, however, may be the most costly of all. You see, while Barack Obama will be standing backstage waiting to walk out onto his makeshift White House stage before 70,000 plus fans, the rest of America will be tuned into their local CBS or FOX affiliate watching their city's NFL team's final preseason game.

That's right. On Thursday, 80,000 Kansas Citians will just be leaving Arrowhead stadium when Barack takes the stage. Not only is Kansas City located in the key battleground state of Missouri, but the KC Chiefs will be taking on their cross state rivals from St. Louis in the annual governor's cup. That means, the two biggest cities will have their attention on football and not politics.

But that's not where the campaigns problems end. Since it is the final week of preseason NFL football, the league has scheduled 26 of its 32 teams to compete on Thursday night. For those of you counting, that's about 2,080,000 fans that will be attending the games and millions more watching at home and at their corner sports bars.

While it is true that several of the games are scheduled to start at 6:00 pm CST and the typical game lasts three hours, most games run long and it will be virtually impossible for fans to make it home in time to see the speech. In addition, the usually pre-, during, and post-game partying are sure to affect fans' abilities to watch and comprehend Obama's speech. Six of the team's won't even see their games begin until 7:00 pm CST which means they'll still be going when Barack Obama concludes his speech and the convention. The decision to hold the Democrat National Convention this week was ill conceived. Here are just a few of the key battleground states that will have their eyes on the ball and not on the Barack: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Missouri, Minnesota, Ohio, Louisiana, and Texas.

With the Republican Nation Convention beginning just three days later, in all likelihood the Obama campaign has squandered their biggest opportunity to get the attention of undecided voters.

Kansans Clinging to Their Guns

Kansas Liberty is reporting that the state's attorney general has issued more then 15,000 concealed carry permits.

Since January 2007, more than 15,000 Kansans have become concealed carry permit holders, and, according to the Attorney General’s Office, not a single one has committed a crime using a handgun.
“I’m not aware of any incidents in which a concealed carry permit holder used a handgun in the commission of a crime,” said Chuck Sexson, director of the Attorney General’s Concealed Carry Unit.

Bussing American Kids to Mexico

DetentionSlip.org has a interesting story about a young American boy who innocently boarded a school bus to go home and ended up in another country.

School officials in San Luis, Ariz., are investigating a busing mix-up that ended with a 6-year-old boy wandering alone in Mexico.
Gadsden Elementary School District board President Luis Marquez says that if any failure is found in the school transportation system, it will be corrected immediately.
The boy was headed home last week when he boarded a school bus with a different route than the one he usually takes.

Maybe someone can enlighten us as to why an American school, paid for by the property taxes of American citizens, would have school bus routes that drops kids off in Mexico...

Obama DNC Tickets Signal Distress

There's more strange goings on from the Obama campaign. They're finally shipping tickets for the big Democrat National Convention finale speech. Unfortunately, the tickets depict Obama in front of an upside down American flag.

Flying the American flag upside down is an official signal of distress.

From the U.S. Flag Code:

(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.

So, does the Obama campaign believe America is in dire distress or are members of his staff trying to tell us something? Are they actually signalling their own distress over happenings inside his campaign?

When you take this new incident, the faux Presidential seal his campaign produced, the 'O' hand signal reminiscent of the Nazi salute, Obama's past associations with Rev. Wright and domestic terrorist William Ayers any logical person should probably be a little concerned. Either the claims that Obama hates America are true or he and his campaign are completely incompetent.

The Parent of the Year Award Goes to...

This Parent of the Year Award goes to a Kansas City, KS man who drove his Cadillac through a stop sign late Sunday night. His vehicle slammed into a Police car, injuring the officer who remains in serious condition. The officer's car then collided with a third vehicle.

No doubt wanting to avoid outstanding warrants, the driver fled on foot. Unfortunately for him, he left one important piece of identifying information behind... his five-month old baby.

Star Wars: Gay Wars

A long time ago, in a politically correct galaxy far far away...

Parents taking their children to see the latest installment of the Star Wars saga may have found themselves in the uncomfortable position of having to explain why Jabba the Hut's uncle Ziro is speaking with a lisp, wearing makeup and feathers and doing nefarious things to his nephew's son. Not exactly the kind of family friendly fun they had in mind.

If the latest trilogy of prequels wasn't enough to sink the once great sci-fi franchise, this sudden embrace of Hollywood-style PC brain washing likely will. If this is the kind of agenda people can expect to find being pushed on them in the upcoming television series that is being spun-off from the film, we're guessing its ratings will be dead on arrival.

It's one thing to be tolerant of people's sexual preference and what they choose to do in the privacy of their own homes. It's quite another to be subtly pushing an agenda on an unsuspecting youth.

George Lucas should be ashamed for interjecting this kind of social issue into a children's movie that is supposed to be about conveying the moral values of right and wrong, good and evil, and having faith in a power greater than your own.

Meanwhile, I am sure it won't go over well with the homosexual community that the one gay Star Wars character is the stereotypical creepy uncle and just so happens to be one of the evil characters in the film.

Jihad: From Jakarta to the White House

The Audacity of Hope, Barack Obama's autobiography has been released in South East Asia and translated into Indonesian. At first glance, not exactly something to be alarmed about, but in issuing the translation the book's title has been altered.

In the above picture of the Indonesian version of the book, the title reads "Menerjang Harapan: Dari Jakarta Menuju Gedung Putih". We took the title and plugged it in to one of the many Indonesian to English translators that can be found online and this is what popped out:

We're told the correct translation of the books English title, "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming The American Dream", would be "Keberanian Harapan: Pemikiran Untuk Meraih Kembali Impian America"

The problem with direct translations is that often times they never make sense. The words "menerjang" (assault or attack) and "harapan" (hope or expectation) make sense when used separately, but used together, the term "menerjang harapan" makes no sense in Indonesian. But while the term makes no sense, it does however present a mental picture to the native Indonesian speaker, the imagery of a "hopeful assault" a "struggle for victory" or to put it more bluntly, a "jihad", or as the Indonesians see it, Obama's "jihad" for the Whitehouse. [1]

So is the title change a simple mistake by the publisher or something more? We'll have to wait until the rest of the book has been translated back into English to find out.

Georgia Accused of Genocide

When we read this story, we couldn't help but wonder what kcmeesha, king of the caption contests, would think.

The chairman of the World Congress of Russian Jewry has accused Georgia of genocide and is calling for a tribunal to investigate and prosecute Georgian war crimes.

"We, as historic victims of genocide, cannot stand aloof," the statement said on behalf of the umbrella organization of the worldwide Russian-speaking Jewish community.

The deputy head of the congress contradicted the chairman telling the Haaretz newspaper that, "the organization's role is to worry about well-being of Jews worldwide and not get involved in 'geo-political conflicts.'"

Doing the Jobs Israelis Won't Do

The United States isn't the only country facing an illegal immigration problem these days. A report recently released found that there are about 190,000 foreigners working in Israel. The report also found that about half of those are working there illegally.

A total of 190,000 foreign workers are employed in Israel today; about half of them are employed with permits while the other half is illegal. In addition, another 50,000 Palestinians find odd jobs in Israel; only 10,000 of them arrive here with work permits.

So how is Israel going to deal with the problem? Will they be granting amnesty? Starting guest worker programs? Nope. Israel has launched a new program that aims to completely eliminate all foreign workers, both legal and illegal, by 2014.

“[F]oreign workers hurt weak population groups and make the strong ones wealthier. Employers save on salary and social benefits, while the unemployed find it difficult to secure decent jobs with a fair salary.

This isn't the first time the Israeli government has gone after foreign workers. In 2002, a program was launched that saw the number of Palestinian workers in Israel fall from 300,000 to less than 240,000 in 2004.
