Check out this month's New York Family magazine. I photographed the cover of InVite Health's owner Steve Kornblatt with his family in Carl Shurz Park for the Father's Day / Summer issue. I really like this image as it really shows the lush summer green of the park with the sweeping staircase in the background. Steve's family was really so much fun to work with - we were laughing the whole time and the cover shot shows off their good cheer.

Applause New York City is home to the best music and theater programs available for children and teens. This weekend wrapped their Spring Shows and it was really an inspiration to see how well the teens performed.

Spring came and went fairly quickly this year, but I happened to have my camera on the most beautiful day of the year when just about every single New Yorker was outside in Central Park. You don't see this kind of mass of humanity too often.

Also, I love the tulips on Park Avenue and took a few nice shots to remember this year's spring color.

I recently photographed an amazingly fun bridal shower for Stacey G. She had a private cooking party with her friends and family. Chef Liron Meller is the owner of mycookingparty.com that delivers a one of a kind gastronomic experience. The party include music, dinner and drinks and incredible fun. This is the 2nd party I've photographed with Liron and I cannot wait for the next one - I highly recommend it!

After the party, I created a heart-shaped collage and made a wall poster for Stacey, very cool stuff.

US Air Guitar Championships - New York City

When I was asked to photograph the US Air Guitar Championships in New York City - I was like, "Are You Serious?" Is that really real? Not only is it real - but it's got a HUGE following. People were pumped up for this event and they showed it. You just HAVE to see these photos - they are hilarious! Saturday Night Live comedian Jason Sudeikis was a judge together with last year's Air Guitar winner, "Hot Licks" Houlihan. It was so classic you wouldn't believe it.

Photo Essay in Downtown Chic

Last week I had the opportunity to turn Emily into the coolest hippest downtown city girl this side of the Hudson river. We were an awesome team - hitting some of the coolest and colorful spots in the meatpacking district. There were so many great shots that editing down to a few for a blog post was really hard to do. So here's a few and then look at the slideshow further down to see more images from the shoot.

The Derek Trucks Band - Wellmont Theater - 3.25.09

Last night I ventured out to the beautiful Wellmont Theater to see The Derek Trucks Band. It was the first time seeing Derek Trucks together with his own band (outside of the Allman Brothers). This was *his* material and he played it with that heart-wrenching, soul-aching slide of his that makes you feel the power of the blues greater than almost any guitarist living today.

Last night at Terminal 5 in NYC, Thievery Corporation laid down the beats with a world, reggae, hip-hop fusion of sound that was phenomenal. Definitely pick up a copy of Radio Retaliation - one of the best CD's of 2008. This montage captures it all:

Winter in St. Thomas

If it weren't for the kids winter break from school, I probably would have been nesting indoors during the heart of this brutal winter. But with a ticket in my hand, I took advantage of the incredibly beautiful weather and amazingly fun time spent with my kids and family (tennis 3 hours everyday with Jonah!). I live for these moments - where I can share non-stop, round-the-clock family time - free of worry or the thoughts of the hustle and bustle of the city. Good thing, I brought my camera to preserve those memories in vivid detail. :)

Here's a look at Alix's incredible 25th birthday party that was certainly not short on laughs, smiles, good food and great friends - in short - an awesome night. I had a marathon Fall photo season this year and captured some seriously fun images from all over Central Park. I went through at least 5 pairs of jeans in the past 2 months (permanent grass stains and shredded knees in the jeans) - but the shots and the smiles make it oh so worth it!
