Ok, if you haven't heard by now, Facebook is currently giving out a $100 ad credit to those people new to ppc. Its pretty easy to get. All you have to do is add the Visa Small Business app to your profile and they immediately give $100 to start advertising in Facebook. This one is runned by Paul Bourque. Now I don't know paul personally but I am a fan of his blog and he really does have some good tips on his site for affiliate marketing. I have tried a couple and turned out fairly moderate but good. I am sure if I signed up for his program I may get a lot out of it but I really don't have the cash to do his program which starts at about 5k a month for a person to person coaching session but his reputation as a super affiliate is out there.

Now what does that guru video on the top of this post have to do with affiliate marketing mentoring?? Absolutely nothing!! I just got a kick out of watching the guy and thought I would throw that in cause I am a big believer in the power of intention and I think that a lot of people want to know how to make money online. The term "guru" is thrown out so much that I thought I could bring attention to it. Whatever you decide to do to learn affiliate marketing, just remember there is a cost, whether you learn it on your own it will cost you time or whether you hire someone to show you how to do it, that will cost you money but both methods you can definitely learn from.

Project Wonderful advertising alternative to adsense

A couple of days ago I was introduced to Project Wonderful from cantgetrich.com. I liked the advice that was given on the site on how to proceed to get traffic to site from alex so I figured I would sign up and give it a try. Well, overconfidence me got a nice little note from them saying,

A couple of days ago I was reading Zac (ASSHAT) Johnsons website in regards to him offering a free landing paging on his blog so that newbies can get a jumpstart on their affiliate marketing. Well, it turns out that the guy stole the actual landing page from an unsuspected fellow affiate marketer and claimed it to be his own design.
The breaking news came to me via Nickycakes blog which explains the full details on how this whole fiasco came about. Mind you I normally take bloggers words right off the page to report it on my blog about great offerings from others but after reading Nickycakes blog, which I often do, I would have to say that claiming to own something to be your own is pretty awful if not just downright disgusting. So in response to this kind of tactic.
So to conclude this post I crown Zac Johnson as official ASSHAT of the day.!

Affiliate Marketing is SELLING! PERIOD!

The higher cost of living is the absolute reason why you should get into now. And the three basic tools that you need are:

1. Internet Hosting with a domain name that will reflect the market you want to promote. You can start on a free blogger service like blogger and make sure that you select one topic and continously write about it. Example: HDTV's

2. Affiliate Network to work with is going to be your inventory to stock on your website so start now and sign up for the networks you feel can do you good. Make sure that the affiliate has the products you want and always ask for a good converting product. CXdigital media is great place to start.

This is a truly an amazing task considering the enormous responsibility and danger that is ahead of him all I can say is "Godspeed!"
You're probably asking: "What doesn this have to do with affiliate marketing? Well, consider that if this young man has a blog, He definitely will have a following wanting to know how he is doing on his trip and with this being the internet age, there is definitely an opportunity to grasp. I left a comment on his blog the other day volunteering my services on what they needed to do to create an income on the blog. Thats if if he keeps it up to date with his were abouts, I would consider the following:

1. Convert the entire site to a blog, self hosted and use Wordpress as the main software of choice. Those who know the software can see the advantages to this besides the ease of use and available space needed to sell advertising or affiliate ads.

2. Keep readers in the know by posting regularly, its not often that people sail around the world and have the ability to let the world wide web know about it.

3. As the trip nears its end and is close to completing the journey, start selling ad space on the site at a higher rate. People would genuinely be interested in knowing how close he is to completing the journey and there would be more traffic to the site.

Zac is in for an extraordinary journey and I do wish him the best. If anyone reads this post and has more ideas on this, I would appreciate to hear about it.

Wickedfire.com VS DigitalPoint.com forums

The two top forums on the internet today that sole purpose is to either enlighten or deceive one on internet affiliate marketing have to be wickedfire and digitalpoint. These forums are both fully packed with internet marketing information. One cannot take the information from these forums for granted because you can loose your money and sometimes your ego when participating. I will now proceed to explain my experiences with both.

Wickedfire.com
Wickedfire.com is the forum were all the affiliate marketing jocks hangout. The moment you participate in having your questions answered it is immediately scrutinized. Especially if you're a noobie. If you're such a animal you will be torn into shreds by the likes of Nickycakes and Shady SEO.
The preferred conduct by many of the regulars in this forum is that they would like it that you use the search feature to look for the information first

before asking for any advice. Don't even bother in asking for free advice or worse yet, how you made your first affiliate commissions cause your just asking to be ripped up. I do believe that this forums has to be the best out of all the forums on the subject so a little beating from these guys is ok by me. If I come out wiser from it, I will take the beating any day.

If wickedfire is were all the jocks hang out then digitalpoint is were all the freshman to affiliate marketing get their first experience on this type of online social enviroment. This place has as much as over 2k visitors per day asking advice on all subjects internet marketing. I read posts on people losing their money all the time from this forum, but it is a great place to introduce yourself as a internet marekting specialist and to introduce your products to the masses if your serious about getting your reputation going. The noobie ratio on this forum is much greater than experienced marketers so if your experienced and want to make some money, that would be the place to start.

There you have it, two forums that have all the information you will ever need to know about internet marketing and creating an online business but with a different set of rules to follow. My thoughts are this, if I want to be the best affiliate marketer on the internet, then I have to hang out were the good ones are. Success is the company you seek.

I really wanted to point out how effective a sales letter can be by using the current events of the day. Take for example this sample email:

Regardless of how much we understand about the economy, I'm pretty sure each and every one of us understands that right now it's not doing to well. The "Economic Tornado" is coming, and everything, even internet based companies, are in it's path.

Affiliate marketing is tricky, but once you get it, you have a commission only sales force, ready to sell for you. If they don't sell your product or service, you have no costs. Unlike pay per click, where you hope you sell them cause you already spent money in getting them there.

Triggit Monetizing Tool

I am happy to see that there is currently a product that can make it very easy to monetize a site that pretty much is on any web platform. Triggit recently has a tool that works very easily to drop any sort of affiliate ad onto a site without the knowledge of using code. As you know affiliate ads does require skill to place the ads on a given site and then you have to test if the ads will work in their appropriate place on your site. Triggit is the answer for the new entrepreneur that has inspiration in working on affiliate marketing but may lack the skill set to do it.
I am currently testing the device on this site and the possibilities in having coaching instructors use this device for their clients is just the answer i was looking for. I can totally see how effective this simple tool can be to place ads on a given blog or site. I recommend that you take a look at the video demonstration so that you see for yourself. Uberaffiliate.com VS Nickycakes.com and Gaming YouTube

I just read the post on Uberaffiliates site about gaming YouTube and at first it was amazing to me on how Paul discovers these types of things but then when I was reading the comments on his blog I noticed another blogger Nickycakes mentioning that the post sounded familiar so I go visit nickycakes blog and do a search for the term "Gaming YouTube", sure enough, I see that nickycakes wrote a blog post about it back in the first of this year. So I want to pair them up and ask what you might think of them. I will give you my take on each one:

NickyCakes

Nicky starts off by stating that he really didn't come up with the idea but that he did take it from the WickedFire Forums. He goes on and explains the jist of how its done but doesn't give any true examples to put it together. I do like how he gives info on some free software.

Now you have Uberaffiliates explanation but in true Uber style he gives you the entire story by giving real examples and pointing out what is done where. Obviously even a nooby can't get this wrong.

So there you have it, two different takes on the same subject and the internet probably has plenty more. This kind of nit picking happens all the time in the wicked fire forums, I take it as great internet entertainment that you can learn from, have a visit and learn something when you get a chance.

Using Adwords to Promote Ebay

For those of you that need help with adwords ( i know i always do) You can check out this post that was left on Digital Point Forums. Obviously you can't take things forgranted on the internet but sometimes you just know what to look for when read it. Thanks MoneyCode !!!

I have found that if you use extremely targeted keywords/keyword phrases in the ads with the destination url going to the exact product, you can make a profit with ebay & adwords.

For example -- doing a "handbags" ad or even a "designer handbags" ad has not worked for me, but if I do an ad something like this:

"brand name" handbag
Looking for "brand name" handbags?
Huge selection at bargain prices.
Display URL: yourdomain.com/brand-name-handbag
Dest. URL yourdomain.com/brand-name-handbag

Then the keywords you would use would be:
brand name handbag
brand name handbags
Buy brand name handbags
bargain brand name handbags
brandnamehandbag .com

AND, use broad, exact and phrase

Or you can take it a step deeper with
"brand name" red handbags

BUT! Before you even decide to advertise a product that is on eBay, you should also do research on whether the thing actually sells.

To do this, login to ebay. Go to Advanced search, Enter the Keyword in the Search box, Check the box for "completed listings only" then click search.
The results will show you All the listings in the past 2 weeks (I think) that completed. The ones with $'s in Green were "won" or sold. The ones with
$'s in Red were NOT sold.

If the product had a lot of listings, with alot of "red" dollars -- it means the product hasn't been selling well.

NEXT! Just because a product sells on eBay -- doesn't mean people are searching Google for it! Alot of people just go directly to eBay to buy products.

So, you should use Google Adwords Traffic Estimator (although it can be very inaccurate) to check and see if the keywords (products) you are targetting are actually being used in searches.

If the product passes the above two "tests" it is recommended you start your bids at .10 cents and go no higher than .15 or .16. If you have to bid more to get impressions/clicks -- then you have a problem, because very rarely will you get an EPC (earnings per 100 clicks) from ebay higher than $20.
If you bid higher, then you will just break even or lose money.

So, there you go -- One way to make money with eBay and Adwords.

Affiliate Marketing Mistakes are Blessings

As some of you know, I work as an internet marketing coaching at http://pushtraffic.com/blog/?p=11. This past weekend was a big moment for me because it allowed me to display not only to my coaching clients but to the company that I work with:

1. The flaws that our company needs to improve on to make internet affiliate marketing the career choice that any individual can work on no matter where they stand as far as their own learning skill. It can be done but you need to know where you stand.

2. Make the added improvements to our core team and company structure to make communication a better focus both ways , client and company.

3. Selling the service or product doesn't have to be oversold once your client knows and sees that the tools of the internet are their for everyone and can be obtained, if you know how to find them.

Mistakes are a blessing in disguise. They can create motivation and if packaged right, they can be a good product to sell. Lets face it, nobody wants to make mistakes but you can embrace them, its ok because they belong to you. Backlinks using other Blogs

I was visitng Mixed Market Arts this evening and it had a great reference on how to create backlinks. If you don't know what backlinks are these are basically urls the would be referenced to point back to a site. An example of this would be the link that you just read for Mixed Market Arts, when you click on it, it will reference it back to the site.
Now when creating backlinks to a site you must make sure that the theme of the site is consistant. Google rates these types of links based on the quality, the more links that are created in the same catagory, the better google likes it.

Using the signature link on that forum is the part of your post that has a link to a site that you want to represent and it can bring traffic from that forum. There is no doubt that sharing on the internet is what makes it the most viable medium in the 21st century and blogging is that medium that can get people in that direction. I currently have come across two bloggers that can definitely improve your chances in making money using your own thoughts and putting them on the internet:

Uberaffiliate.com is a blogger that I have been a fan of for awhile and i do think that he has a alot of valuable strategies to offer on his blog. He gives so much info that I am surprised that he hasn't just spelled out his techniques in picture form. He discusses more pay per click than any other form of making money online that i think those who ask " what is the quickest way to make money online" , this would be the site to look into.

I really hate it when people ask me that question!
