There are many options available in the digital world, and depending on your needs, there are ways to ensure satisfaction, and make budget. My name is Michael J. Becka, and I have been photographing weddings since 1986. In 2005 I opened my studio on Farnam St., and began offering portraiture. My objective since I began, has been to offer a quality product, at an affordable price.By keeping my overhead down, I can pass the savings on to my clientele. I feel I offer the best value in Omaha for families looking to spend their budget on the photo's, not the album. Many affordable photographers are available lately, primarily because of the advance in digital cameras. Questions to ask your affordable photographers. 1). What brand, and model camera, and lense do you use? Look up the models online, and see if the equipment is professional grade. Many "pro" photographers are using amature, or prosumer equipment. 2). Do you have backup equipment? Many affordable photographers are new, and only have one setup. What happens if this setup fails? 3). How much experience do you have? Many of the new photographers have talent, but not experience. 4). Is this your full time job? Many of the new breed are "weekend warriors" and do weddings on the side. How much time can they dedicate to your photo's, and your album. In most cases, you will have to make compromises in at least some of these areas. Not at M.J.B.
