Hello again tree friend! Just a reminder about our fashion show that we're so excited about....this sat. oct 4th at 9pm... and more info....

It's fall-tastical! This Saturday Oct.4th treehouse* has the express privilege of joining forces once again with sister boutique sodafine and our fellow dear sister fashion line dear birthday to create an unforgettable fashion experience as part of Williamsburg Fashion Weekend at the fabulous Secret Project Robot. Can't wait to share our vision, entitled "the sky is falling, let's have a picnic!" We're sooo nervously expectantly excited!

Who & When-- Fri. Oct.3rd 7-10pm: SDN, King Gurvy, and Compai (this'll be a great show as well!)
Musical performances by Pantagruel and DJ K0unt Zer0.

Brooklyn.(we'll probably go on around 9ish....and then dance party!)

Just in case you didn't notice by the gated doors, our dear friends, treehouse is taking a must-needed summer sojurn of relaxing and enjoying the wonders of nature upstate. it's this weekend...the big one. Renegade Craft Fair in McCarren Park Pool. Saturday and Sunday. treehouse will be there with sirius, becky lee, bobbi, fame and frippery, wolfe, and more. and lots of treehouse designers will have their own tables to visit too..like hodgepodge, raeburn ink, a.s.i.s., and KIM. this is a can't miss, summer spectacular, super fun event. and it's usually one of the hottest weekends of the summer, but oh yeah, we already had the heat wave. so come visit us!

if you've ever been to treehouse, you know that we are located in an amazing Italian neighborhood here in williamsburg brooklyn. today was a shining example of why we love it here so much. our friends at jerry's (aka emily's pork store)

and the guys at the typewriter store next door to jerry's threw a grande fete celebrating the life of 'Ol Blue Eyes himself, frank sinatra...on the 10 year anniversary of his passing. it was a neighborhood block party...

complete with complimentary lunch (or breakfast if you were around at 9am)...and of course, Frank's greatest hits blaring from the speakers. the party went into the evening, with cake and dancing if you were so inclined.

the blue balloons commemorated the man, the roast peppers and sausage honored the legend. i'm sure the Chairman of the Board was smiling down on us all, singing "come fly with me.." ;)

Well, now's the perfect time because it's getting chilly out there, and wouldn't you like to stay warm this winter in cozy wares knit by your own two hands? and then there's also those friends and family that'd love a hand-knit present or two(made by you!)...So come get armed with knitting knowledge in this super-intensive workshop. learn cast-on, cast-off, knit stitch AND purl stitch....pretty soon you'll be knitting like a pro!

A 3-hour beginner crochet workshop hosted by Cal Patch from hodge podge.
Bring some yarn and a hook* and we'll tackle the basics of crochet: chain stitch, single crochet, circular crochet, and finishing off. with just these skills you can make a scarf or hat!
*Yarn should be smooth (not bumpy or hairy) and a light or bright color, in either worsted or bulky weight. if worsted, get a G or H hook, if bulky, go for I or J.
4-7 pm, $50

p.s. All of our classes take place in the treehouse, sometimes during business hours. Because of this, the classes are kept small so that everyone can participate (usually 4-6 people per class). We suggest signing up as soon as you know you want to take a class because once a class fills up, we'll start a waiting list for the next session.
