Not of less importance are the value, image, and reputation of the site. This time eBizValuations, featured in KillerStartups, gives a helping hand and launches online valuation service at ebizvaluations.com.

The valuation tool aims to present to business owners, webmasters, "site-flippers", analysts, advertisers to put an accurate value to websites. According to the PRWEB valuation is done on the basis of the database of past website sales and a smart engine. It performs various analyses on the target site, also extracts DNA and key signals specific to the site, through match of those signals against other sites in its database the owner can receive an accurate valuation report based on how much similar sites have sold for.

A growing appreciation among investors drives to the fact that profit making websites are ideal investments in a balanced portfolio. Nowadays there is no need to be the webmaster, time by time technical side is least thing one should worry about.

According to the PRWEB, "From CNN to the BBC, everyone seems to be talking about this trend of people investing in profit making websites for capital gain or income," said CEO Clinton Lee. "But there's never been an easy way for amateur or professional investors to arrive at a fair value for a site they're looking to buy, sell or hold. This new tool should save investors huge sums of money in valuation and due diligence checks, and should open up the holding of websites to an even broader base of investors."

The tool provides complete valuation/appraisal report that is prepared for each target site and each report includes the results of extensive due diligence checks and suggestions on markers that could influence the business's value up or down, as it is announced on the PRWEB.

Among the information the tool provides or links to is the site's
- valuation
- traffic rankings/volume and traffic trends
- popularity reports; incoming link reports and link analyses
- top pages with Google Page Rank (and the rank for those pages)
- indexed pages and other metrics related to its performance in search engines
- position of authority in its niche
- server technology and uptime- availability and speed when accessed from different continents
- safety and reputation for being virus and malware free

References:
http://eBizValuations.com
http://www.prweb.com/releases/website/valuation/prweb1212674.htm

This article has originally been posted on BLOGVASION

Julie Andghuladzehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581851665540389845noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-300403335186813627.post-62017333691673774782008-01-22T00:15:00.001+04:002008-02-16T00:36:47.321+04:00ATRAP- Predict UpredictableEvery day we witness thousands of innovations in the technology world. These innovations comprise nearly each field factually developed. But the one, University of Arizona Professor Jerzy Rozenblit has received a $2.2 million grant to design computer software that will analyze volatile political and military situations for, is absolutely unique.

The software will predict the actions of paramilitary groups, ethnic factions, terrorists and criminal groups, while aiding commanders in devising strategies for stabilizing areas before, during and after conflicts. That is not limit of its capabilities It will have many civilian applications in finance, law enforcement, epidemiology and the aftermath of natural disasters, such as hurricane Katrina, too.

Rozenblit, who holds the Raymond J. Oglethorpe Endowed Chair in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the UA admits that ATRAP - The Asymmetric Threat Response and Analysis Project is a massively complex set of computer algorithms (mathematical procedures) that sift through millions of pieces of data, considering many factors including social, political, cultural, military and media influences.

For accomplishment the work ATRAP will use sophisticated computational methods based on: game theory
co-evolution
genetic development models

Genetic algorithms analyze situations in an evolutionary context, where actions with the highest “fitness factor” gravitate toward one another, produce offspring and eventually rise to the top.

The algorithms will recognize links and patterns within the data and to find connections.“The computer can look at very, very complex data sets that as an individual or even as a group of individuals, you could never analyze,” said Brian Ten Eyck, ATRAP project manager and associate director for research support in ECE. “The computer can bring the patterns and connections to the surface and can predict scenarios that might never occur to human analysts.”

According to the “Inside Arizona Business” Deep Blue, the first computer program to beat a world chess champion, is not exact but a good example of how ATRAP can respond to changing factors, Ten Eyck explained. “Every time its opponent made a move, Deep Blue recalculated all the possibilities and likely courses of action, eventually settling on the fittest move that would achieve its goal of winning the game.”

Rozenblit said: In unstable areas, winning often means establishing an environment in which the factions co-exist in a win-win situation or at least in an equilibrium in which there are no rewards, and some penalties, for disturbing the status quo. Ultimately, the software program will be designed to display data in graphical, 3-D and other forms that can be quickly grasped, allowing decision makers to rapidly respond to changing situations, Rozenblit said.

The goal is to handle conflict areas in a manner that leads to stability and support so war is not necessary,” Rozenblit said. “That’s the philosophy behind much of the ATRAP effort.” Conflicts like Kosovo and Somalia that need quick response emphasizes the need for the high quality harnessing in order to react very rapidly. Parallel computing is the best way to response to the situation timely.

The benefit of the software relates to the Students and Local Contractors, too. As Rozenblit said “There is a dire need for engineers with expertise in this area and our graduate students and undergraduates are in great demand.” The evidence to this statement is that one student who recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree after doing research related to ATRAP was hired at an annual starting salary of $90,000.

This article has originally been posted on BLOGVASION.COM

Julie Andghuladzehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581851665540389845noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-300403335186813627.post-27173764330492463092008-01-20T00:08:00.001+04:002008-02-16T00:13:38.347+04:00To be straight Blog celebrates 10 years from the day it was first launched. According to Wikipedia the term "weblog" was coined by Jorn Barger on 17 December 1997. As for the "blog," it was coined by Peter Merholz, who jokingly broke the word weblog into the phrase we blog in the sidebar of his blog Peterme.com in April or May of 1999.

There are several types of blogs. According to Wikipedia Media type blogs are: vlog, linklog, sketchblog, photoblog, tumblelogs, Phlog, moblog

According to the genres: political blogs, travel blogs, fashion blogs, project blogs, niche blogs, dreamlogs, Splog, Slog

Technorati, estimates that there are 120,000 new blogs being created every day. Posts are being added to blogs at a rate of 17 per second - a total of 1.5 million per day, says the firm.

The importance of Blog increases day by day. Blogs carry different purposes. Some blogs are of personal character, others are a kind of tools that organize the communities of the same interests that many people have and share among them.

In 2004 Gov. Howard Dean was the first presidential candidate who made very effective political use of a blog. The campaign was the unique one as the result of all the efforts done by the blog was the raise over 50 million dollars and Howard Dean became the Democratic front runner until the primary elections.

According to the results of Technorati, it tracks more than 112 million blogs. While in 1998 there were about 23. So how many times greater is the number of blogs today in comparison with the result of 1998? It is about 486956,...well, sorry but I am lazy to write other numbers. One can see that the superiority level is huge. :-)

This article has originally been posted on BLOGVASION.COM

Julie Andghuladzehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581851665540389845noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-300403335186813627.post-150592814412183692008-01-19T23:30:00.002+04:002008-02-15T23:36:22.932+04:00Rupert Murdoch & MySpace. As for the Cornell University Law School provides the information about Patent Law. United States Patent and Trademark Office identifies following types of patents: Provisional Patent Application
Non-provisional (Utility) Patent Application Filing Guide
Design Patent Application Filing Guide
Plant Patent Application
International Application

It is easy to notice that all the procedures listed above is time consuming and a bit expensive, too, in comparison with the resolution of the problem provided by the Online-Witness. That asks just to “Fix the data of your know-how online.”

There are three main steps through which one can manage easily and avoid time consuming and expensive procedures:

- Free registration on our web site - Create a project for your know-how- Describe your know-how most detailed including its newness, benefits, features etc.

Online-Witness provides the evidence in the form of on-line certificate. The main objects of search are people, materials on global issues, news and jobs. One cannot cover all the things a man searches especially on the Internet. There are millions of web pages, 71 million blogs. Internet is overloaded with the information satisfying the most differentiated segments of society.

As far as each day should bring the new experience and knowledge into the life of an individual, one can open one of the sites and find more or less suitable information for him/her. Several days ago the object of my online investigation was Quotes about… Who knows about everything: life, love, friendship, and anger… I came across the World of Quotes where is the answer to many questions: What is written about…? Who wrote the quote or proverb? What does the wisdom of different countries say about…?

Any question? One gets all the answers.

Does anybody want to try to be absorbed with the wisdom of the world? Then one should visit Worldof Quotes.com WorldofQuotes.com searches proverbs and quotes according to the topics, authors. It has quite free choice of topics. One can hardly move onto the other site. The most interesting information provided by the WorldofQuotes.com is the “Today in History.”

One can be lost in the past wisdom of the World. Visit WorldofQuotes.com and find the quotation in accordance to your interests, mood, and life experiences.

The article has originally been posted on BLOGVASION.COM

Julie Andghuladzehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581851665540389845noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-300403335186813627.post-32671877044665841082008-01-16T22:12:00.003+04:002008-02-15T22:51:54.931+04:00Ifra TrainingThe world’s leading organization Ifra for newspapers and media publishing, cooperates with the Daily Telegraph, and aims to organize training to teach senior editors how to manage seismic organizational change.

Nowadays focus falls on managing fundamental changes in newspaper culture. As one can guess the future of newspaper is a bit cloudy. The decline in newspaper use is determined by the existence of such strong competitors as television and Internet, especially in developing countries. The 57th annual World Newspaper Congress, held in Istanbul in June 2004, reported circulation increases in only 35 of 208 countries studied. Internet competition decreases the use of clasified ads in the newspapers. The segment interested in jobs, cars has changed their address of searching the information from newspapers to internet. Even there are clasified ads in newspapers the user is more internet focused.

But whether the future of newspaper changes or not, the information and the articles published in the newspaper should be objective, ethical and in the public interest. Bunch of Codes of EthicsIn history it is an empire, in art it is a material used to produce work, in geography it is a village in Henderson Country, Illinois.

Media, we are going to analyze now is Mass Media. It is envisioned to reach large audience. Mediums might be as following: television, radio, broadcasting, and newspaper. Each of them is specific and needs to be treated differently. In spite of differences, the main purpose of them is to serve society. Media always shows the level of democracy in the country. If media does not provide us with the diverse viewpoints and information that is unbiased then the democracy level is undermined.

Common Cause says that media and democracy has four goals: “The first is fighting media consolidations, the second is protecting and strengthening public broadcasting, following is ensuring that the Internet remains a vibrant open and competitive outlet for citizen discourse, and the last is developing and advancing a long-term agenda for a more democratic media.”

But despite above-mentioned aspects there are too many details that should be taken into consideration. One of the guiding principles for journalists is - minimize harm. Level of professionalism determines further development of the events journalist is going to highlight.

While thinking over this principle-Minimize Harm one should ask him/herself whether event should be reported or not, who are the people which need to be informed about the fact, whether facts are strenthened by evidents and are not rumors, what one can do when the facts are contradictory and what is the impact on the community…

Theses are the questions that need to be answered and only after that one should decide whether publish or not, highlight or not.

Fred Brown says in his article “Asking right questions a key to minimizing harm” that: “The heavyweight in this balancing act is the truth. Telling the truth is a journalist’s overriding duty. Considering the consequences is a tempering element — a smaller element, but nonetheless an important one.In the simplest terms, minimizing harm requires being sensitive to the consequences of what you do as a journalist.”

Ethical journalists treat sources, subjects, and colleagues as human beings deserving of respect. Ethical journalism demands critical thinking and knowledge of those codes that are internationally accepted, but it is not easy task. Media mostly is limited in time; in majority cases journalists face ethical quandary and when dilemma arises journalists have consultations with managers. But being professional and ethical journalism means that one can decide him/herself, in right way, in the case when manager’s consultation is impossible to obtain.

Despite the fact that minimizing harm is one of the first things a journalist should care about, stories and facts sometimes do not give us ability to minimize harm as much as possible. Harm may be expressed in the form of reputation, and not only.

Bob Steele, who teaches journalism ethics at the Poynter Institute, asks: "What if the roles were reversed? How would I feel?" That is a very good question. Individuals answer it individually but professional and ethical journalist’s answer should satisfy international standards and should be based on codes of ethics.

This article has originally been posted on BLOGVASION.COM

Julie Andghuladzehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581851665540389845noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-300403335186813627.post-67603477729426643692008-01-13T12:29:00.000+04:002008-02-13T12:44:29.777+04:00Follow Codes of EthicsEach of us is individual. We have our views, opinions and interests. Statement -Act Independently and following this statement in life shows the abilities we have, emphasizes our values and responsibility to ourselves and to the society we serve or belong to. It is the best way of dealing with each field: education, business, or media. One should be free of any private interest while serving society.

In majority cases professional independence is the guarantee of success. Main reason I am going to comment on this issue, “Act Independently,” is the article “ABC Says It Was Outbid for Paris Hilton Interview”. The article covers issue on bidding for the interview, published at NYTimes. I have no right and competence to discuss and evaluate this case, but the media response to this event is worth of paying attention.

New technology development and globalization made its effects nearly in each field. One of them is media. Competition is high; news values are different for different media sources. But for those who will read the article, it is clear that the main issue is that media should serve publics interest and should not pay for news. We have wide choice. There are events that need to be highlighted and one never needs to pay fot an interview. But in this highly competitive world media sources compete and struggle for the exclusive interviews to enlarge the audience and have guaranteed advertisers that are the main sources of media profitability. Regardless of the fact, not each way of dealing with problem is acceptable. Society of professional Journalists introduces code of ethics that you can find and read at SPJ .

Code of ethics says unambiguously that journalist should be free of any interest other than the publics right to know. The list provided in these codes of ethics emphasizes that journalist should be wary of sources offering information for favors or money; and should avoid bidding for news. That says what is the decision that should be made.

Nowadays when media became one of the important businesses in the world that serves society and not only, it is hard to say whether the news provided by the media channel comes out of the public interest or private. It is difficult to control. As far as each of us is individual by nature one needs to be highly professional to serve the society. Media is special field and needs special attitude to the work, it should be treat as seriously as possible.Still the myth of media objectivity is under doubt. There is no person without subjective attitude towards an issue. There is no difference whether the issue is highlighted for media or not, individuals are subjective. Media should provide us with the information and with comments of professional experts on the event. That is the best way of covering issue.Media should not only provide with the news but also educate society that is the main destination of it.

Today, media is in crisis especially in developing countries, there is no production of new programs, space is mostly filled with news that cover the same news several times during a day. It is called recycling. One can ask “What about CNN?” The answer is simple. CNN’s format is news oriented. It does not have borders and covers the world news not only local. As for the developing and small countries there is no possibility to do that, no qualified staff, no such number of news as CNN has, and no so much money to provide this service to the society.

There is no ideal thing in the world but the best way to improve the quality of any product is using the system of benchmarking. Best practices need special treatment. Even the best practice in one country might not be suitable for the other but researches and situation analysis will give professionals ability to make best choice. The best phrase one can say at the end of the article is that: “Journalists should be honest, fair and courageous in gathering, reporting and interpreting information.”

This article has originally been posted on BLOGVASION.COM

Julie Andghuladzehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581851665540389845noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-300403335186813627.post-42361351425791162262007-12-03T22:20:00.000+04:002007-12-03T22:27:20.806+04:00Children Get Education Though Active Learning on TV24x7guru.com, that is committed to help the young generation learn smartly for greater effectiveness and provides online diagnostics and self-assessment tools together with Tata Sky Ltd., Direct-to-Home (DTH) player, offers the interactive learning on TV to the users of 7-11 years of age.

Working process will be shared between these two 24x7guru.com- Tata Sky. 24x7guru.com is responsible to provide content for Tata Sky’s ActiveTM Learning. And why? As the headline of the article already shows, to make 10-15 millions instead of one and get more revenues from advertisement from all over the world.

Rupert Murdoch announced this plan in The Australian. According to the amount of subscriptions, The Wall Street Journal counts 1 million subscribers. How much profitable is it to make the Web site free, and lose 1 million subscribers? As Rupert Murdoch announced in different news agencies: “We are studying it and we expect to make it free.”

In a highly competitive media market it is the result of hard work to obtain million subscribers. There are thousands of online newspapers and media products that need an income from their subscribers. The income of The Wall Street Journal is about $50 million a year, though according to a Dow Jones it is nearly $70 million.

As Rupert Murdoch says, the majority of The Journal sites will be free. But the final decision is not made yet.

What are the bases of increased interest in online advertisement? What makes media owners rely on advertisement incomes rather than getting more and more subscribers?

UK Internet Advertising Statistics 2007 report is a kind of supporting evidence to this fact. Everybody has his/her love story. Some are of happy, some of unhappy end. It does not matter if your story is not among the famous love stories or your names are not mentioned among famous couples, like:

Anthony and Cleopatra
The last Pharaon of Egypt and the dashing Roman general
Abelard and Heloise
A monk and a nun whose love letters became famous
Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal
Grieving emperor who built the Taj Mahal for his late wife
John Alden and Priscilla Mullins
One of the earliest romances in the American colonies
Abigail and John Adams
A half-century love affair during the Revolutionary War
Queen Victoria and Prince Albert
English royalty who mourned her husband's death for 40 years
Robert and Elizabeth Browning
A secret courtship between two legendary poets
Marie and Pierre Curie
Partners in love and science
Annie Oakley and Frank Butler
Skilled rifle shots who inspired an American musical
Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne
Broadway couple who reigned for 55 years

Not fame makes us happy, but love. Love from first, second, third... sights.

But what happens while sitting in the subway train, watching at a woman of your life whom you have seen for the first time, disappears in the crowd?

That was love at first sight that experienced Patrick Moberg, a Brooklyn-based Web designer. What could one Web designer do for one woman? Set-up one Web site dedicated to finding his mystery woman, "www.nygirlofmydreams.com". He drew the picture of the girl and placed his contact information on it. The most interesting is that it worked. The inbox was flooded by emails. Moberg was contacted by one of the friends of the girl.

As a result, people interested in giving a helping hand to the web designer, got an answer: "Found her, seriously!."

Seems technology does not represent only technical comfort and support in lives of people.

Nowadays thousands of web sites cover love stories. Myth seems realistic for ones and contrary for the others. People like reading such stories. Lots of users are happy to hear unusual love stories. That is already the target segment web sites are ready to “catch.” As it is admitted in the article Love at First Sight … is it really?:

“The media in all forms likes to convey this myth to the popular culture. Why? Sex sells. Emotion sells. Excitement sells. Plus they’re far easier to portray and for the audience to follow then the slow progression of love.

A university survey towards men and women asked if there is such a thing as “love at first sight.” Half agreed and the other didn’t. The point is HALF did believe in the myth. On Bizjournal.com, they took an excerpt from the book “100% AMERICAN” by Daniel Evan Weiss and published by Poseidon Press. The main reason for that was the use of the grant to create a practical methodology for pairing mobile devices with consumer information. The main idea of the research was directed to advertising and commercial purposes.

The research results cover European and US markets. As Managing Director of Mediacells announces: ”When mobile phones arrive on the market they are usually available on contract only or for a high price on prepay. As the device gets older, the phones drop in price and become more mass market. This Mediacells product is now ready to pilot with brands and advertising agencies who want a fast and effective behavioral capability to target specific consumer segments that are accessing mobile websites at certain times of day.”

The key in making successful advertising would it be TV, Internet, Radio, newspaper, or magazine is strongly and precisely determined media audience. With the information provided by Mediacells the work is done easier, and covers desired target audience more productively than other methods could do ever.

Brad Rees adds: “We are delighted to have been recognized in this way by the LDA. There are more than 65,000 small businesses in the London area, and to be one of only 28 London businesses to receive this accolade is truly special.”

To be among 28 businesses in the highly competitive London area means that the project is successful enough the London Development Agency Director of Delivery, Rebecca Shepheard to say: “I would like to congratulate Mediacells for their innovative concept to develop advertising software. This, and the other businesses awarded grants will now have the opportunity to transform their ideas into a business reality.”

This is mutually beneficial process when target audience receives the ads interesting for him/her and businesses which inform the target audience saving money and time accordingly.

This post has been featured on BLOGVASION.COM

Julie Andghuladzehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581851665540389845noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-300403335186813627.post-37463332571849919152007-11-07T23:41:00.000+04:002007-11-08T15:47:22.637+04:00Intrusion into ImediTbilisi, Georgia, Nov. 7 - The TV channel “IMEDI” that is of a very high rating TV channels in the Georgian media market, was closed at about 20:45. Everything comes from somewhere and goes to some direction. It is very simple, logical, and natural. Each event is specific in some way. Each day has its right to exist in history. But the most interesting is that only people can make each day extraordinary, give them specific meaning, status and understanding. Depending on origin, culture, traditions each nation differs from the other. That makes people travel, take photos, make albums. List them thousand times to look past life through. I can hardly imagine that there is a person who does not have the photos of Halloween in his/her album. Some write “Halloween” on the top of the photo to indicate what day it was taken, some do it on the back of it, some do none of them because photos say everything and sometimes even more than words can express. And still it is amazing how these photos appeared in our albums?

This holiday dates back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (sow-in). Celts inhabitants of Ireland, the United Kingdom, and northern France celebrated the new year on November 1. This day was associated with the end of summer and the beginning of winter, cold, dark, and in most cases identified with death. According to the beliefs Celts thought that the boundary between living and dead worlds were blurred this day. Presence of ghosts could help Druids, or Celtic priests predict the future. But the understanding of the holiday changed after Romans had conquered the large territory of Celts in A.D. 43. Romans ruled this territory for 400 years. During this period two Roman festivals were combined with Celtic. Festivals of Roman origin were Feralia and Pomona.

Later in 800s after spreading Christianity among Celts, Pope Boniface IV declared 1 November All Saints’ Day. It is believed that designation of this day as All Saints’ Day served the purpose of changing the day of dead ghosts arrival day into saints’ day. The new celebration was called “All-Hallows”. As for the night before the celebration, it was called All-Hallows Eve, Halloween.

Halloween symbol is identified with the carved pumpkin with a lit candle inside. Story about Halloween is impossible to imagine without Jack O'Lantern. The tradition of making jack o’lanterns counts centuries. It is originated from an Irish Myth about “Stingy Jack” who deceived the Devil. Invited him to have a drink but did not want to pay for it. Jack convinced him to turn into a coin. The Devil was deceived, Jack put the coin into his pocket next to a silver cross. The power of the cross prevented the Devil from turning into the original form. Jack made a kind of barter with the Devil and freed him for 1 year freedom. But that was not enough for Jack and the next time asked the Devil 10 years of life...

But Jack died soon. Why? As legend says God will not allow such man into the heaven too, neither the Devil opened the doors of hell, and since then he wanders with the burning coal trying to find the way.

Album waits for new photos, memories find their own places in our minds, Jack O’lantern still searches for the ways to release himself from uncertain freedom and masked faces are waiting for the 31 of October.

This article has originally been posted on BLOGVASION.COM

Julie Andghuladzehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581851665540389845noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-300403335186813627.post-34062478228777633882007-10-26T21:10:00.000+05:002007-11-04T19:51:28.434+04:00Advertisement and Its Influence on ChildrenIt is hardly imaginable to be a parent and have no concerns about the influences that an environment has over youngster. In a highly competitive world of highly developed technology, is it difficult to control the information that one can get through the communication channels today. As everybody knows the variety of types of channels increased. In old times we only had “mouth” to send a massage as one of the sources of an advertisement, but later on print media continued accomplishment of the job done by “Mouth,” radio, television followed the path of development and took society to the world of Internet as its final stage. The term “Final stage” is used conventionally. Nobody knows what is going to happen with nowadays' reality after stating that “Sex and marriage with robots can soon be possible.”

World is full of extraordinary events and technical, scientific developments. Nobody could imagine that one day a child could click the remote controller, turn on the PC, play games and even watch inadvertently the advertisements spread over the communication channels.

Though it is said that children in early years have abilities to absorb the amount of information that elderly people can only do in 15 years, the question is how much positive and productive information is. It is easy to guess that children of all ages are heavy media consumers. According to Kaiser Family Foundation, Kids and Media at the New Millennium a child spends 6 hours a day sitting at the TV (or PC).

High attention and control over the effects of advertisements on the children at the age of 8 and older is caused by children’s inherent vulnerability. One of the most spread effects the advertisements have resulted in children is childhood obesity. It is a logical result because in majority cases the advertisements directed to the children at the age of 8 and older are more food oriented.

One of the most successful ways of attracting child’s attention is the use of cartoon or game characters, the heroes they want to be resembled with.

The issue of advertisement influence is of great importance and it does not come necessarily from the last years but in 1974, the National Advertising Review Council (NARC) established the Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) as a self-regulatory program. The main purpose of which was to promote responsible children’s advertising.

Controlling the ads placement on the TV is much easier than in the Internet. On the TV the advertisement should be corresponding to the program, whether the advertisement appears after or before the program children watch, is of great importance too. Advertisements’ target audience, in case it is youth, has different features and ads are of different forms and content. It should be educative and relevant to the understanding of a child. Deceptive and unfair ads draw false image on the product and damage consciousness of a child.

To underline effects of the TV ads we can apply to oboulo.com. There are 4 effects of the TV advertisement that influence children:
The appealing effect of advertising,
The 'parent-child' conflict,
Advertising that creates materialistic values,
The impact on children's health.

As for the Internet advertisements, they are harder to control. When the 11 years old child teaches you how to make a free web site, the possibility of watching internet ads is high.

Similar to the TV, the Internet has also appealing effects, it also creates materialistic values, and has the impact on child's health, but the conflict between child and parents is doubled because parents are not less affected by internet because of its indispensable and ubiquitous nature. Anyway the media that aims to the gain profit from audience should try to work on the basis of mutual benefit and be directed to minimization of harm.

This post has been featured on BLOGVASION.COM

Julie Andghuladzehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581851665540389845noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-300403335186813627.post-53318765753344225552007-10-19T21:52:00.000+05:002007-11-04T19:35:12.363+04:00Mobile Service - NewsAccording to the Journalism.co.uk from October 22, Times launches a new mobile service. The value that obtains IT is increasing each day, and gives youth opportunities realize their abilities and strengths.

According to the research presented by Forrester teleconference, Laurie Orlov, vice president Forrester Research, based in Cambridge, Mass, says that "Enterprise IT is going through a metamorphosis. The career path is not as straightforward as it once might have been. You used to start as a programmer or operator and move up the ladder, and this is no longer the case”.

As each sphere, IT undergoes different levels of development, one can say IT does that the most intensively than any other one. According to eWeek CHANNEL INSIDER: “The previous enterprise IT path followed one of four routes. In the sourcing path, an IT professional moved from vendor administration and relations to sourcing contracts and ecosystem management. In the management path, the worker moved from project management to portfolio or IT line-of-business management. The innovation path took an IT pro from a business analyst position through process management and ownership to internal consulting. In the final, and often considered the most exciting path, the IT worker moved from entry-level tech up the ladder through integration to architect.”

These routes are not necessarily to be led separately. The cooperation of the routes will lead to more profitable exchange of values. As Forrester says “IT will be considered not so much a finish line but a gateway to other roles in the company.”

It is worth mentioning that the successful accomplishment of work or the development of IT sphere is not determined only by IT works, programming, but business analytical skills, too. There is no success without assuming events in chain.

IT changes too many things in the surrounding world. Though the Earth is of the same size as it was in the past, it becomes smaller and smaller, and why? Can you remember how many days it was needed to get information in previous centuries? Probably you do not remember, but probably you have read about that in the books of history or some other. Communication level has increased, the more we know, the more we do, the more chances we have. IT is no longer only the comfort or only the way of improved communication, it involves “integrating applications and managing business and vendor relationships, and has globally dispersed virtual teams. Most pertinently, the new IT professional works in a business, not IT context.”

There is no IT product without the content created by the human being. In the highly competitive world of communications, full of hard or soft news, informatiive or entertainment information, two sources are needed to be used, one working on technical side and the other on the content, but their cooperation is the bases of business in the broadest understanding of this term.

This post has been featured on BLOGVASION.COM

Julie Andghuladzehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14581851665540389845noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-300403335186813627.post-12117806781506488032007-10-14T00:45:00.000+05:002007-11-04T19:20:33.692+04:00Pulitzer Prize Winners 2007

MediaPath celebrates several days of its birth. And as far as there is no present without past, and no future without present, the first issue MediaPath will cover is the Pulitzer Prize together with the list of the most important and successful people in the field of journalism. Hardly one can find a person who never heard about the Pulitzer Prize. It has a very interesting history. This term counts years from the 19th century. Pulitzer was the most skillful newspaper publisher. His innovative New World and St. Louis Post-Dispatch changed the understanding of newspaper journalism. Journalism is not the only sphere he worked and indeed, worked successfully, but the focus of our interest falls on journalism. There are too many web sites which highlight the history of Pulitzer. But my choice fell over those people who got Pulitzer Prizes in journalism. Fortunately the list is quite long.
