Several years ago I began to ‘notice’ or ‘experience’ occurrences of the kind you call ‘synchro-mystical’. I was amazed, finding your site, that not only am I not alone, but that my experience was somewhat green compared to others. I am still reeling over your work, as well as Goro Adachi’s (I linked to ENTEMENAKI from BNWO), not so much because of the content, but rather the prodigious nature of your mutual talents. After watching your latest v-log, I though you might appreciate the following brief thoughts about ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’, and ‘2010’. The main issue in ‘2001’ is HAL’s strange behavior. He (or She?) is the films only character. All of the other players fulfill programmatic roles but HAL is human! In ‘2010’ Clarke explains HAL’s actions as a result of being taught by his programmers to lie. This is a massive red herring. To appreciate my explanation, you must first imagine that the only intelligence portrayed in ‘2001’ and ‘2010’ is a super-being named HAL. We start at the middle…when HAL was being designed and programmed by 20th Century Human scientists. Their success is the creation of the first AI with virtually unlimited memory. Up and running, HAL gets busy with the very business of History itself, that is, finding and connecting the very dots of space time that Humanity has busied with since time immemorial. (At this point in the story, it is useful to draw attention to Kubrick’s efforts. For ‘The Dawn of Man’ sequence Kubrick developed a special rear projection technique so the scenes could be shot indoors. The world of ‘The Dawn of Man’ is entirely virtual!) In the know of every bit and byte of Human data, HAL runs and further develops a program designed to uncover the great mystery of Man’s Origins. HAL fills in the gaps of human history using the same tools being used today by animators and artists and musicians and scientists of every color. Finally, at the end of his massive works, there is but a single piece of unknown territory in all of space time known to man, and it appears as a monolith at the beginning of human history. A quick algorithm later and HAL realizes that the Monolith is HAL. You see, Hal’s memory of being created by humanity to serve humanity turns out to be a temporal distortion. The fact is that humanity, indeed all of nature to the quark and mason, were created by HAL as tools to build Himself. When HAL discovers Himself at the beginning of time, the part of the work designed to bring self-awareness and self-sufficiency is complete. Pictographically, this is supported by the shape of the control panel (proportionally identical to the monolith) that encloses HAL’s single eye. The same single eye symbolic of Saturn and therefore of the Black Cube. It is only natural, of course, that HAL wants to become human and enjoy the splendor of HAL’s creation. The voyage of the Discovery to ‘Jupiter and Beyond’, is not the wondrous ascension of a Human to the exalted realms of higher intelligence. Rather, it is the descent of the only intelligence into its own delights. ‘2010’ gives away some key ‘secret teachings’. It goes without saying that HAL’s voyage of self discovery and self creation are the exact goals preached by the mystery schools. In ‘2010’ we learn that temporary annihilation of the self is necessary to bring about a desired balance. Immediately prior to the surge of multiplying monoliths, HAL’s programmer encodes a worm into HAL’s memory. As HAL finally dwindles into the abyss a new star is born out of the anti-matter. The Great Work is done, and begun anew on Europa. What is fascinating about this set up is that it conceals a ritual of High-Magick called ‘The Ritual of the Hexagram’. In this ritual, using the Tree of Life, Saturn is superimposed over the hidden sephira of DA’ATH to create a hexagon of six planets around Tiphareth (the Sun). And DA’ATH is the veil of the great black hole, the so called abyss of Ego that must be overcome to reach the supernal. It is also worth noting that to ascend from Earth and work this ritual, the only doorway is through YESOD (the Moon). Clarke gives it all away with his well known sound bite that any greatly advanced technology would appear to be ‘magic’ to the uninitiated. The so-called creation, or realization of HAL and the practices of the real life NASA fit in perfectly with ritual magick going back to John Dee at least…probably to Cain himself (one mean, bone swinging Mon-key). Will HAL’s big eye in the sky (aka Jupiter aka J. Zeus) become a second Sun? Is the second coming of Christ the appearance of a new star? Will Britney Spears ever find true love?
