A supercriativa Tatiana Kuhnert contou-nos que seus vídeos animadíssimos têm agora um blog! Mal posso esperar pelas novidades que ela vai nos mostrar por lá! A Tatiana chamou minha atenção pela primeira vez com seus vídeos que misturam ilustração e fotografia (lembra?), como este aqui em cima, da Amanda e do Gustavo (um dos casamentos mais incríveis que já vi)! Hoje, ela também cria utilizando a técnica de animação Pixelation, que é o máximo! Olha só que graça o vídeo da Ju e do Rapha:

Eu não consigo resistir a uma noiva num lindo vestido tea-length e o estilo da Jess é realmente adorável: um frente-única em point d'esprit, sapatos fabulosos com corações vermelhos e uma querida tiara rosinha. Ah, e um guarda-chuva com flores vermelhas para enfrentar a chuva combinando! Também adorei a casa superbonita na qual a cerimônia e a recepção foram organizadas! I can't resist a bride in a beautiful tea-length dress and Jess' style is really adorable: a Swiss-dot, halter dress, amazing red hearts shoes and a darling blush headband. Oh, and a matching umbrella with red florals to brave the rain! I also love the gorgeous house where the wedding and reception took place! It added greatly to the atmosphere of the day!

Como você já deve estar cansada de saber, eu amo a abordagem fotográfica do Scott e da Cristen do estúdio W. Scott Chester. Os resultados são sempre tão criativos e cheios de vida! Não é de se espantar que eles atraiam clientes com uma superimaginação como a Jen e o Richard! Os cataventos são os props mais incríveis e, mesmo ao analisá-los de perto, ainda não consigo saber se são de verdade ou ilustrações, o que só contribui para esta colorida e mágica sessão! Eu também sou fã das molduras naturais criadas pelos dois fotógrafos. Ninguém consegue fazer igual!

As you are probably more than aware by now, I love the approach to photography of Scott and Cristen, of W. Scott Chester. The results are always so creative and full of life! No wonder they attract super-imaginative clients like Jen and Richard! Those pinwheels are the coolest of props and even after looking closely at the photos I still can't make out if they are real or illustrated, which adds so much to this colour-pop, magical session! I also love the natural frames created by the two photographers. No-one does it like them!

Hoje o { casando ideias } completa um ano! Nem dá para acreditar, pois parece que foi ontem que publiquei meu primeiro post, falando sobre vestidos com cintura império, lembra?

Desde então, nós:
. Publicamos mais de 650 posts. Já visitou nosso arquivo super-rechonchudo?
. Mudamos o layout para organizar melhor o conteúdo. Ficou tão fofo!
. Passamos a ter postagens bilíngues (we began publishing biligual posts).
. Adicionamos twitter, tumblr e, mais recentemente, facebook à família! Confesso que ainda preciso de um intesivão em “Como responder e-mails a jato”, mas juro que estou me esforçando!

O { casando ideias } vem sendo fonte de constante alegria e um espaço de crescimento pessoal. Agradeço a cada uma de vocês, Babycakes, que acompanham o blog e apreciam as ideias apresentadas por aqui. É uma honra poder contribuir de alguma forma com os preparativos de seus casamentos e, acima de tudo, informá-las de todas as possibilidades de criação de beleza e personalização que cruzam meu caminho. Today { casando ideias } is one year old! I can't believe it, for it seems like it was just yesterday that I published my first post, which was about empire waist dresses, remember?

Since then, we:
. Published over 650 posts. Have you ever visited our superchubby archive?
. Changed our layout so our content would be more organized. So cute, isn't it?
. Began publishing bilingual posts (passamos a ter postagens bilingues).
. Added twitter, tumblr and, more recently facebook to the family! I confess I still need a crash course on “How to answer e-mails much, much faster”, but I swear I am trying hard!

{ casando ideias } has been a constant source of joy and a space for personal growth. I thank each and every one of you, Babycakes, who visit this blog and enjoy the ideas presented here. It is an honour to contribute in some way to the organization of your wedding and, above all, to inform you of all the possibilities in creating beauty and personalization that cross my way. With this in mind, an extra-special thank you to all the industry professionals who've been so very supportive.

Não consigo descrever minha tristeza por saber que este pode ser o último desfile de alta costura de Christian Lacroix. Desde sempre, Lacroix alimentou meu amor por vestimentas, tecidos e técnicas de outrora, desfilando a cada show peças de um verdadeiro artesão que me transportavam para meus períodos prediletos. Ainda assim, sua originalidade defronte ao passado é algo incomparável.

Para mim, Lacroix é o último dos Elizabetanos, Rose Bertins e Worths que nos deslumbraram com suas extravagâncias. Espero de todo coração que a Casa encontre um comprador para que Monsieur Lacroix possa continuar criando suas preciosidades.

I cannot describe how saddened I am to know this might be the last show of Christian Lacroix Haute Couture. Growing up, Lacroix fed my love for garments, fabric and techniques of yore, parading at every show pieces of true craftsmanship which transported me to my favourite periods. And yet, his originality in the face of the past is incomparable.

To me, Lacroix is the last of the Elizabethans, Rose Bertins and Worths that amazed us with their extravagances. I hope wholeheartedly that the House finds a buyer so that Monsieur Lacroix can carry on creating his jewels.

Eu tenho que confessar que sou louca por cabelos ruivos. Se tivesse certeza de que ficaria tão adorável quanto ruivas naturais, não pensaria duas vezes antes de pintar meus cabelos, mas eu sei da triste e não muito encorajadora verdade e mantenho meus cabelos castanhos como são. Então, quando vi, no Brooklyn Bride, a maravilhosa Diana e seu cabelo superbrilhante, lindamente feito pelo Matthew Green, eu superssuspirei! Não foi apenas o cabelo da Diana, no entanto, que me chamou a atenção, mas também seu Rosa Clará leve e feminino e sua delicada maquiagem feita pela Jennifer Nam.

I must confess I am crazy about red hair. If I knew I'd look as lovely as natural red-haired people, I wouldn't think twice about dying it, but I know the sad, not very flattering truth and just keep it brown as it is. So when I saw gorgeous Diana and her über shiny hair, beautifully styled by Matthew Green at Brooklyn Bride, I did let out a big sigh! But it was not only Diana's hair that caught my attention, but her fluid and feminine Rosa Clará dress and delicate make-up by Jennifer Nam.

Existe algo em relação ao tule que me faz superfeliz. Eu realmente acredito que tule é o Tecido Feliz definitivo. Ele é também versátil e esta característica está muito presente na criação de Leigh Buchanan para sua amiga Chelsea! Um incrível vestido de um ombro só, com “pega-migalha”, faixa em preto e duas saias (longa para a cerimônia, tea-length para a recepção) que brinca com elementos contemporâneos e retrô e se mistura graciosamente com o vento.

O Polka Dot Bride conta mais: “Um trabalho de amor, Chelsea e Leigh transformaram o vestido de noiva de 1978 da mãe de Chelsea em dois vestidos de noiva para Chelsea. A dupla inspirou-se no 'New Look' de 1947 criado por Dior e na exposição 'The Golden Age of Couture' do V&A.”

There is something about tulle that makes me super-happy. I truly believe tulle is the ultimate happy fabric. It is also versatile and that characteristic is so present on Leigh Buchanan's creation for his friend Chelsea! A superb one-shoulder gown, with crumb-catcher, black belt and two skirts (long for the ceremony, tea-length for the reception) that plays with both modern and retro elements and combines itself gracefully with the wind.

Polka Dot Bride tells us a bit more: “A labor of love, Chelsea and Leigh transformed Chelsea’s mother’s 1978 wedding gown into Chelsea’s two gown wedding dresses. The pair drew inspiration from Dior’s 1947 'New Look' and the V&A’s exhibition 'The Golden Age Of Couture'.”

As sapatilhas MARC by Marc Jacobs da Annie são os sapatos mais fofos que eu já vi! Seu romântico vestido em point d'esprit da Pronovias com seu cinto encrustado, voilette e flor (ambos comprados pelo Etsy) foram escolhas perfeitas para sua cerimônia ao ar livre, num hotel em West Hollywood.

Annie's MARC by Marc Jacobs flats are the cutest pair of shoes I've ever seen! Her romantic Swiss dot Pronovias dress with embellished belt, birdcage veil and hair flower (both purchased through Etsy) were perfect choices for her ceremony held outdoors at a West Hollywood hotel.

Para a recepção, ela usou um vestido de babados e renda rosa, uma flor rosa no cabelo e colares de pérolas!

Esta semana eu esbarrei em duas noivas com adoráveis penteados com pin curls, então eu honestamente achei que minha sorte havia acabado até o ano que vem. Mas, veja só, cá está a Shane, com seus pin curls e cachos! Achei que devia mostrar um pouco mais deste penteado que existe desde os anos 20, quando era chamado de spit curls, porque, bem, saliva era usada para umedecer os cabelos. Abaixo, mostro versões de meu favorito, o pin curl baixo, popularizado nos anos 30. Acho um penteado divertido para noivas à procura de um quê vintage!

This week I bumped into two brides with lovely pin curl hairdos, so I honestly thought that my luck was over for the rest of the year. But, lo and behold, here is Shane rocking pin curls and locks! I thought I should show you a bit more of a hair style that has been around since the '20s, when it was called “spit curls”, because, well, saliva was used to dampen the hair. Below there are versions of my favourite, the flat pin curl, which was prominent in the '30s. I find it such a fun do for brides looking for that vintage something!
