Club House "Flame" by Gaetano Pesce

Club house “Flames” in Saint-Petersburg suburb “Medovoe” which is supposed to become the centre of social life of the community, was designed as an “alien” house – very bright and unusual. The author of this masterpiece is a legend in world design Gaetano Pesce.
The project is made of colored glass with architectural lighting solutions. Rich colors give a special look to cone-shaped roofing. And though the architect says he was inspired by Russian Churches, the forms of the roofs only have a slight resemblance with them.

Belgian design studio Atelier Blink consists of only two designers - Emilie Lecouturier and Celine Poncelet. They create products in different spheres of our life – from furniture to chocolate delights in the form of kiss.
All those products are linked together with one common feature – original idea + use of traditional things in a non-traditional way.
Look at this armchair “Octopus”. It’s made of four pairs of recycled jeans filled with polystyrene. The measurements are 85x85x100cm.

The stickers are made of paper which make them more environment friendly, they are easy to put and remove, when you are bored with design. The price I found at one of their retailers is EURO 19,90, which allows to change patterns as frequently as you wish.

I found a couple of very interesting patterns that would fit any deigner interior.

Ten years ago we had a chance to visit their manufacturing facility located near Venice, Italy and led by creative brothers Lago. It was a small factory supported by great ambitions of its creators and their innovative ideas. We started tracing success of these people from one trade show to another noticing that the guys are not sitting relaxed.

New Materials for Traditional Bathtubs

Italian company Blu Bleu goes in avant-guard of bathtubs design. Besides innovative design of the shapes of bathtubs the company designers use the materials that are not associated in our minds with the traditional materials for baths.
For example, look at this model - Kali-Art Cuoio - it's made of wood and covered with leather on the outside panels. This creates such an elegant look that one is thinking "Maybe I should use it instead of my bed".
The bath faucets are also quite modern and for me look like "Bang and Olufsen" phone set.
