More like 'gut' issues. Those that no amount of arguing could ever change your mind about: same-sex marriage and abortion.<br /><br /><br /><br /><strong>Sen. McCain</strong><br /><br /><p>Abortion: McCain believes that Roe v Wade was a flawed decision that should be overturned. He voted for the Prohibit Partial Birth Abortion bill in 2003.</p><p>Same-sex marriage: Sen. McCain believes that marriage is a union between one man and one woman, but opposes a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. He believes that individual states should create the laws that dictate the issue. He supports giving legal rights to same-sex partners.<br /><strong></strong></p><br /><p><strong>Sen. Obama</strong></p><p>Abortion: Sen. Obama opposes any constitutional amendment overturning Roe v Wade. He disagreed with the Supreme Court's ruling to uphold the "Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act"</p><p>Same-sex marriage: Sen. Obama opposes same-sex marriage, and supports civil unions. He disagrees with a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, feeling it is an issue that should be left up to each state. He supports health benefits for same-sex partners.</p><p><strong>Thoughts:</strong> It seems messy to let every state make their own laws. I would not like to move to another state and find that my marriage is no longer valid.
