Yet, clearly the Democrats ignored and suppressed the problem at Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae, leading to this crisis. Why do you sidestep the obvious conclusion that this collapse could have been avoided if the Democrats would have done the right thing instead of playing politics? There is no excuse for this failure that happened under the Democrats' watch. They deserve the majority of the blame and must be held accountable for this crisis!tshavlikhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17964489611060769417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29415157.post-11721972269228852002008-10-07T09:23:00.000-05:002008-10-07T09:23:00.000-05:00Jason,Why is 60 so important to Democrats in Novem...Jason,

Why is 60 so important to Democrats in November?

The answer to that question answers Richard's "controlled the entire federal government" assertion.Cameronhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06016275707476655364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29415157.post-89864813292668836802008-10-06T15:44:00.000-05:002008-10-06T15:44:00.000-05:00Damn, Warnick beat me to that one!It would take a ...Damn, Warnick beat me to that one!

It would take a level of selective memory a rational person would be incapable of to paint the Democrats as the deregulating culprits in the financial crisis.

Phil Gramm started this crusade back in the 90's, and Republican "leadership" has stood up... well... never, in the past 12 years on the deregulation and consolidation of this market.

Here's to the projected 60 for the Democrats in the next month, and a return to some sanity in our markets.Jason Thehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15518866228386927143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29415157.post-41052296300363921362008-10-06T14:18:00.000-05:002008-10-06T14:18:00.000-05:00You do remember that in 2004 the Republicans contr...You do remember that in 2004 the Republicans controlled the entire federal government and Democrats controlled nothing?

Funny how whenever it's time for THEM to take the blame, Republicans always say they don't "want to play the blame game."
