Or even an American city, far from home?

Who would you call?

What if another viral pandemic, even more deadly than the swine flu, broke out in close proximity to your current travel location on the globe?

Would you receive adequate medical care? Or have the best chance of avoiding the spreading illness altogether?

What would you do?

Red tape and lack of proficiency in the Spanish language (or other host languages) can make it nearly impossible for Americans to receive adequate medical care or emergency evacuation from Mexico, along with a wide variety of other countries.

Stratos Jets will help get you out of your destination country and back to the U.S. as quickly as possible, sometimes within hours, if you have a serious medical emergency while traveling.

Emergency calls are typically from a desperate relative in the United States who has suddenly learned that a family member has fallen ill or been severely injured while on vacation or conducting international business.

For relatives who have learned of a family member in critical condition, the language barrier and the long distances involved have often turned a bad situation into a horrible nightmare.

But as soon as your call is received here at Stratos Jets, 24-hours-per-day, a Spanish speaking staff member will immediately assist you to arrange your safe return to medical facilities in the United States by emergency air charter transportation.

Regardless of your situation, no matter what your needs may be, arranging for emergency evacuations or other critical, urgent travel needs is a forte here at Stratos Jets.

It could save your life.

And of course we can facilitate other travel requirements as well, caused by potential violence or social unrest, natural disasters, or an emergency family situation back at home. The bottom line is we will do whatever possible to assist you during a crisis!

For more information, give us a call at 888 472-7286 to find out more about your many options and all of our services here at Stratos Jet Charters.

And of course, no one wants to face the critical emergencies mentioned above. But if something does occur, we look forward to the opportunity to provide critical assistance during your time of great need.

Joel A. it really makes you realize what is truly important.

And it’s never the day-to-day issues or small inconveniences that most of us worry about every day. Such was the case last Sunday, April 12.

Like me, you may have seen or read the story about the charter passenger who landed a twin-engine plane at SW Florida International Airport after the pilot died of a sudden heart attack, saving four lives in the process. Against all odds, that passenger actually had some previous flight experience, although not with a plane of that type or size.

It’s every traveler’s worst nightmare, a catastrophic problem with either the plane itself or the pilot flying it.

In many ways, the situation described in that news story is worse than a problem with the aircraft itself. At least in those situations, you (hopefully!) have a professional with years of flying experience trying to solve the problem. This is best illustrated in another recent news story, the emergency landing of a critically damaged commercial jet in the Hudson River, in which only one passenger out of 150 received a significant injury! (The actions of that heroic pilot, and that outcome, were almost miraculous.)

The point is, when you travel – for business, for pleasure, for any reason – your primary concern is getting to your destination safely. Itineraries and schedules and a myriad of other concerns can take a back seat in a HURRY to your safety and that of your family or other companions.

Which is why you should always insist upon the ARGUS mandated two pilot system.

When you charter a flight with Stratos Jets, you can be assured that your flight will have two of the most qualified and experienced pilots available; verified and approved by ARGUS or Wyvern. Although not always a mandate for a legal FAA charter, this IS a requirement for every charter arranged by Stratos Jets.

(Of course, illegal charters also can’t provide passengers with any insurance coverage, and don’t have the strict maintenance requirements of legal charters. But that’s a topic for another day!)

Of course we wish that every emergency could be avoided in the first place. But while we may not know what life will throw our way, being well prepared is always the best defense, which is why Stratos Jets takes every possible precaution to ensure your safety.

For more information, give us a call at 888 472-7286 or visit www.stratosjets.com, to find out more about the safety protocols in place here at Stratos Jet Charters. FL

We are sometimes asked by customers and clients “Why use a broker when I can find an owner or operator on my own”? The reasons are really quite simple.

Air charter brokers have an expert knowledge of the jet charter industry. Stratos Jet Charters has developed proprietary software and research techniques that allow our jet charter brokers to quickly identify all of the aircrafts that are relevant to a given itinerary. By understanding flight patterns and aircraft routing trends, air charter brokers can take advantage of transient aircrafts that may be in the area or aircrafts that may be traveling empty.

When dealing with individual operators you have very limited aircraft availability, as that operator is limited to just the aircrafts in their fleet. In contrast, a charter broker typically has access to a virtually unlimited number of available aircraft and travel options. This enables Stratos to provide the appropriate aircraft; turboprop or jet (light, mid or heavy) for every flight.

Because of extensive relationships with owners and operators around the country, a broker can use their buying power to assist you no matter where you are. At Stratos, we provide you with not only the best available option, but at the best price too.

Finally, your broker has an intimate knowledge of each aircraft operator’s maintenance standards and can provide representation, and more importantly - solutions, for you during your trip if the aircraft has a mechanical or if things do happen to go wrong, so you and your passengers won’t be left stranded.

All in all, working with a jet charter broker, such as Stratos, is the safest and most efficient way to book your next private flight, for business or pleasure.

For more information, call Stratos Jet Charters at 888 472-7286 or visit www.stratosjets.com, and find out more about how we can help you find the solutions to your next charter.

Please allow Stratos the opportunity to assist you in arranging your next flight.

Joel A. Let's not forget about blogs (such as this one!), where comments can be a conversation.

For the most part, virtual contact is inexpensive and convenient, which certainly gives this type of communication the upper hand for many basic, day-to-day operations. But this ease of use for virtual communications can also be its downfall. In a word, it is seen as more “anonymous” than a physical meeting; and often has far less perceived value or significance in the minds of those you do business with.

Ask yourself this question: what is more likely to build or maintain a long-term business relationship – a quick email, instant message or virtual conference…or a live, person to person meeting?

Never underestimate the value of real time, human interaction between people. Face-to-face meetings are far more effective in building rapport, creating personal connections between individuals, and creating loyalty from customers and among business partners. Live meetings deliver the rich, potent experiences that virtual meetings can’t.

So, when you’re deciding whether to have an online meeting or a face-to-face meeting, consider whether the relationships everyone will form are more valuable than everyone's cost of traveling to the meeting. This is true regardless of the business climate, and it could be argued that it is even more vital during times of economic turmoil.

Stratos Jet Charters can provide you with multiple aircraft options – across a range of budgets – for your most important meetings, to help you and your firm achieve long-term success.

Joel A. Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. reports that client participation in their Eco-Jet Charter program has improved as a result of their “offset your jet” campaign.
Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. first partnered with TerraPass early in May of 2007. Joel A. Thomas President of Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. said “Stratos jets is an innovative company. We take pride in our ability to assist in all areas and concerns of our clients. In the spring of this year, we were challenged by an environmental group in North Carolina, to promote “carbon neutral” flights. Through our partnership with TerraPass we have met that challenge.”
6 months into the program Stratos Jets has helped a number of their clients offset the carbon emissions of their flight. Initially, many of these offsets came in the form of contributions from Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. on behalf of their clients. A shift in who is contributing has recently occurred. Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. reports that in the month of September, 2007 a total of 35,236lbs of Carbon emissions were offset by their customers. Joel A. Thomas President of Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. attributes this shift to “promotion of our “offset your jet” campaign. Joel A. Thomas also said “to help put this in perspective, our clients contributions are equivalent to having offset the carbon emissions of nearly 6 cars driven for an entire year”
In Spring of 2007 Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. researched companies who provide carbon offsets. A decision to partner with TerraPass was made based upon the values and beliefs of the representatives of Stratos Jets. Joel A. Thomas of Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. believes that “taking part in a program like this ought to do more than just plant trees. While that is important; we feel that a long-term approach to protecting the environment requires investing in the research and development of renewable energy and energy conservation technologies. That is why we chose to partner with TerraPass.”
TerraPass is the premiere carbon offset company. Carbon Credits purchased through TerraPass make contributions to companies who provide for long-term solutions to the climate problems we currently face. Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. can help you offset your carbon emissions from you private plane flight; however cannot help offset the carbon emissions from your car or home. Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. encourages all of their clients to offset their entire “carbon footprint”. While business travel is typically considered a necessary burden, executives who take to the skies regularly are finding alternatives to the long lines and the hassles of airport security inherent to commercial aviation. Each year more and more executives are taking to the skies and each year more of these executives are flying private. According to an Aviation International News forecast, this trend is expected to continue at the rate of 9.4% for the next 14 years. (www.ainonline.com). The National Business Travel monitor reports that “35% of active business travelers are planning to take more business trips this year than last” (www.Ypbr.com).

This increase in travel seen amongst the corporate elite has shifted toward private aviation for a number of reasons. The results of a poll conducted by Stratos Jet Charters last month cites long lines and crowded terminals as the primary reason why top level execs are choosing to fly privately. (www.stratosjet.com) Stratos Jets also reports that departure times and destination flexibility are among their top concerns.

With the recent advent of very light jets has brought about a dynamic change within the private aviation industry. Executives are now chartering very light jets for intrastate travel. Allowing executives to travel to major cities within a state or to neighboring states and return home the same day. Very light jets provide flexibility unmatched by the major airlines and allow executives to travel to airports just minutes away from their ultimate destination. This trend supports Aviation International News’ forecast of the expected growth in the private charter industry. In addition to flexibility, very light jets are fairly cheap to charter and open the door of private jet travel to a whole new class of would be commercial fliers.

For information on chartering a jet,
visit Stratos Jet Charters on the web at www.stratosjet.com

Joel A.
