this post is about all the things i'm thankful to have in my life.

i have the best friends and i work with great people,

plus, the best boyfriend ever.

i play as hard as i work,

i bike to work everyday, i play soccer every week,

i play ukulele, dance, and draw.

i just cut my hair for locks of love

and helped out a co-workers family in need.

I made a rainbow cake for my sister's birthday. It took forever to make. Way to go ruining my saturday night, Sate.

Inspiration came from here, but was completely disgusted at the recipe so I made a white cake mix from scratch. frosting too! I couldn't bear to cover up the pretty red and orange gradient on the top of the cake, so I shaped a heart with yellow frosting, which worked out great cause I don't think I made enough of it to cover the entire top of the cake even if I wanted to.

i'm not at wubbzy anymore, I was asked to go back to animating on mr.men and since then, I've been too busy to post anything. except for this, my plans to become the greatest girls drawing girls artist ever.

today i volunteered a few hours talking to the people about prop 1A. if you have no idea what i'm talking about go check! it! out!

i want to do my very best to tell everyone about high speed rail, and it starts by me telling you.

this where you come in:

i want you to tell someone, friend, family, stranger, anyone to vote yes on prop 1A. don't live in CA? do you know someone who does? don't think you can't help!

here's a fun fact sheet!

and all of my points when i talk to people about CHSR:

most people think we can't afford this right now, and that's just not true. the $9.95 billion general obligation bond is but a drop in the bucket, you can see for yourself in this graph on the last page. the topmost line illustrates if ALL bond measures on Nov's ballot were a go. the slightly lower line is what CA is already going to take on.

without CHSR, California would have to build nearly 3,000 miles of new freeway plus five airport runways and 90 departure gates in the next two decades. With a price tag of $82 billion

The cost to build CHSR the 800-mile system is estimated to be about $40 billion. Once built, the system will not require operating subsidies and will generate $1 billion in annual profits.

this bond will be paid back in 30 years and will give well over 100 years of service to CA

CHSR has been trying to get on the ballot since two election years ago, we needed it then and now we reallllly need it now. and now us voters can get what we want! why wait?

and finally,

the golden gate bridge and the shasta dam have two things in common, they were built during the great depression and were funded much like CHSR will be.

I would like to share a picture from a trip Kelly and I took last year. We went up to Berkeley to visit our Pixar friends and to check out the Wondercon in San Fransisco. I hardly had any money at the time and I'm thankful to have gone, even before hearing about recent events. I hope to be able to make the journey up there this weekend and I hope to see friends that I haven't seen in a long while, it will be good to catch up with each other and share our memories of Justin.

late at night i find that my phone is ringing from an abnormally long phone number, it was my sister who is running around paris, france! "update your blog!" says she, so i set out to do just that first thing the next day.

...this conversation was about a week ago, she's in corsica now and i've finally got something i wanted to share.

this one's for you, sate!

this is the pre-punycorn unicorn's dearest friend. they like to salsa dance together to the unicorn's radio, and when that's out of batteries, she plays Julieta Venegas music on her accordion.

stinky pugs

pugs are cute, but they smell. the wrinkles on their face form into some sort of complex drainage system and all of the smelly eye boogers, nose snot, slobber and other general dog-grossness oozes down to be stored in an invisible pouch on their jowls. pugs will then rub their smelly faces all over your hands (if you happen to be petting them) or all over your pant legs (if you just happen to be near a pug).
