On a percentage basis, the price of silver can easily outpace gold over the next few years as both metals hit record highs after adjusting for inflation since 1980. Silver might achieve that goal far more quickly than gold.

But as gold reaches over $1,145 this week (+10% in November) there's one missing ingredient required to legitimize this historic bull market; silver must exceed its March 2008 high of $20.78 an ounce... More »

On Doing God’s Work

“Gold Finger -
A New Take On Operation Grand Slam With A Tungsten Twist”

Ahmadinejad's 'Divine' Mission

CT does not accept cash, stock, warrants, or the promise thereof,

Pure and Simple.

Of course we've all raised our puny little fist at some point and questioned or even possibly threatened Him. However, while most of us quickly regain our senses and repent, she's managed to turn it into a paycheck.

Her anger doesn't stop with the Almighty, it extends to unborn children -
"Some of this reaction can be explained just by listing the religious right's priorities in order. In the pantheon of family values, avoiding abortion sits at the top, above marriage or staying home to raise your children. Conservatives have spent the last 30 years seeding the country with crisis pregnancy centers dedicated to convincing young women not to abort their babies, regardless of their personal situations. The fact that Britney Spears' younger sister made the same decision to keep her pregnancy at 17 and that Juno was a hit movie only adds an unexpected glamour to the choice."

And should they manage to avoid Planned Parenthood and escape the Forceps of the Late Term Abortionist, give them no milk cries Hannah. Well, at least not their mother's milk.
The evidence for the value of breastfeeding is scientific, it is strong, and it is continually being reaffirmed by new research work. The American Academy of Pediatrics encourages women to make an informed decision about feeding their infants based on scientifically established information from credible resources. David T. Tayloe, Jr., MD, FAAP President American Academy of Pediatrics

God's Harvard?

The Daily Show With Jon Stewart

Mon - Thurs 11p / 10c

Hanna Rosin

www.thedailyshow.com

Daily Show
Full Episodes

Political Humor

Health Care Crisis

I think you get the point. The reason he gives for the above statement is that the psychological pressure to lock in your gains when you face a rough patch is very strong. Few people have the strength of conviction to weather such tough times.

Gold has been acting very strongly. Depending on whether a gold bug or traditional financial writer is telling it, agreement is wide that we are due for a correction, minor or sharp. The more I hear that, the more convinced I am that the correction is further out, and will be smaller than we expect. Central banks are now holding back or even buying gold to replace their rotting dollar reserves. For years they've been dumping their gold to buy dollars. They've wised up.

There have been numerous gut-wrenching corrections on gold's journey in price from a low of $256 back in early 2001 through its recent run past $1,100, but gold has continued to rise inexorably. Each time it pulls back, the media give reasons why it was just a bubble and it's deflating. They're wrong.
Look at the strength in gold just this year.

Gold is simply the inverse of the dollar, which is worth less and less every year. The dollar has its short-term reversals, but that's all they are, just as gold's pullbacks are short-term corrections.

What is the top for gold? I don't know. But I know it isn't there yet. How do I know? Because the vast majority of the public still doesn't take the metal's rise seriously. What happened to tech stocks will happen to gold. What happened to oil will happen to gold. What happened to housing will happen to gold. It will have a parabolic move. And since it's a much more liquid asset than housing, the move will be more like oil in 2007–08 when it jumped from $80 to almost $150 a barrel, or tech stocks in 1999–2000, when the Nasdaq 100 jumped 88%.

When gold is near a top, it will be all over the mainstream media, not just the financial media. People will say that buying gold is a no-brainer, and we'll probably hear numbers like $8,000 an ounce or more. Miniature gold bullion will be sold in fancy department stores here, as it is now in England, or even in vending machines, as it is in Germany. We're nowhere near the end yet. So, I'm going to bite the bullet on any corrections, and increase our gold positions now. They will be for the long haul, until and unless I see one of my own indicators say it's time to get out for a while--or for good. The official U-3 unemployment number is 10.2%. The broader and more comprehensive official unemployment number, the U-6, is at 17.5%. The U-6 counts all the people that want a job but gave up, all the people with part-time jobs that want a full-time job, and all the people who dropped off unemployment benefits because their unemployment benefits ran out. John Williams at Shadowstats.com suggests that real unemployment is actually running at 22%, which, by our calculation, is approaching Great Depression unemployment numbers... <a href="http://email.seekingalpha.com/track?type=click&mailingid=2233&messageid=401&databaseid=300&serial=1244547945&emailid=ct@cfrn.net&userid=83010&extra=&&&9436&&&http://seekingalpha.com/article/172045-and-bernanke-didn-t-think-unemployment-would-reach-10?source=email" style="color: #024999; This position is composed of several factors:

Approximately 20 years ago, the silver market was cornered by the Hunt brothers. Corners are not random events. A successful corner occurs only after the expiration of critical time/price cycles.

There are 2 important prices in silver connected with both the 20th year, and the year 2001; these are 4.24, and more importantly, 3.86 per ounce.

Silver declined to 4.27 in March and April 2001 (monthly chart), within 3 cents of 4.24.

I believe the recent swing down to 4.27 is a significant early confirmation of large time cycles culminating. The chance to own silver at 4.24 or lower may be gone already. But because the time element is large (yearly), and ½ of year 2001 remains, there still is ample opportunity. Here is my plan:

1. BUY: I intend on buying silver futures at or around 3.86 per ounce, and taking delivery of the metal through warehouse receipt. SELL: Any monthly close below 3.69 per ounce and I will return the silver to market.

2. BUY: If year 2001 closes above 4.24 without having touched 3.86, I will buy silver at or around 4.24 per ounce and take delivery. SELL: Any monthly close below 4.14 per ounce, and I will return the silver to market.

3. Silver is now at 4.56 per ounce. You will receive an update on any decline to 4.24 prior to end of 2001.

This is a long-term, multi year buy/hold position. We are buying at or around critical low levels, which may not be seen again for many years after an advance starts. Often, an important advance begins with prices immediately at (apparently) high levels, making a commitment difficult then. That judgment is often wrong, as prices can go much higher when the time cycle indicates it. Owning silver at 4.24 or 3.86 places us already in the market when the surprise advance begins at “high” prices. I believe the potential upside in silver is extraordinary and worth serious consideration.

It is important to trade with known, meaningful risk and exit when that risk is exceeded. This is true when buying the actual underlying commodity, as we plan to here, as well as futures. The risk outlined above is reasonable, more important, it is not arbitrary; it is based upon numbers which I am satisfied are important in silver. There are people who, after silver hit $50.00 an ounce in 1980, felt it was a bargain at $38.00. Others bought the metal at $25.00 per ounce, figuring ½ the high a great price. Because they were hopeful about future gains, and owned the actual metal, they could hold silver as long as necessary to await their profits. When silver continued to decline, they never took positions off with a reasonable loss. Now, 2 decades later, there is still $25.00 per ounce silver being held by the original buyers, or their relatives. Losers try to never take a loss, even a reasonable one. The same is true now, 20 years later. If we buy at 3.86 and the monthly closes below 3.69, we will exit with a reasonable loss because silver can go much lower and can stay lower for many years.

                                                              Sincerely,

                                                              Pagetrader

"Nice Call David!"

CT does not accept cash, stock, warrants, or the promise thereof,

I believe the stock market has indeed entered into a full-fledged correction, which is likely to retrace a sizable portion of the advance from the March lows. However, I also believe the current bounce has more room left on the upside before the profit-taking once again begins. In this segment, we will address the principal of Risk-to-Reward Ratio, along with common misconceptions regarding this concept.

Classic Definition of Risk-to-Reward Ratio

The risk-to-reward ratio is simply a calculation of how much financial risk is involved in a trade versus how much profit is expected. This calculation is made prior to entering the trade. Risk/reward ratios provide an unemotional way of evaluating a trade to find opportunities where the potential reward outweighs the known risk by a certain amount. For example, a trade which risks 1 point with a profit target of 3 points would have a risk/reward ratio of 1 to 3 (1 point of risk versus 3 points of gain).

What are the Myths of Risk-to-Reward Ratios?

Many trading systems advertise impressive risk/reward ratios associated with their trades. The problem is that risk/reward ratios are entirely theoretical, by nature. The reality is that a trader can only know the risk in advance (how much you're willing to lose), but the potential reward can be known only after the fact, no matter how compelling the trading setup. One may speculate as to the amount of reward he believes the market will provide on a given trade, but this can not be known until the trade is complete. Therefore, it is virtually impossible to determine the true Risk-to-Reward Ratio before entering a trade.

One useful alternative to the Risk-to-Reward Ratio method is for the trader to simply establish a firm risk tolerance which would represent the maximum amount of points he/she is willing to risk for all trades, regardless of their projected reward (price target). So, for example, whether a trade was forecasting a 5 or 10 point target, the risk would remain the same. Messenger Pro utilizes such a strategy because this approach manages what can actually be known in advance, which again is the amount of risk taken. Messenger Pro never intentionally risks more than 1 1/2 points on any trade, in spite of its projected price target.

Another common myth which shows up repeatedly in the advertising of trading systems is the deceptive promise that a trader can risk a very small amount of money to capture a very large gain, and do so repeatedly. An example would be the promise that a trader can risk 1 point and repeatedly profit 10 points. This claim is pure fantasy, with rare exception. The reality is that risk and reward are 2 sides to the same coin. If you seek to capture larger gains, then it is naturally necessary to risk larger amounts of money.

You'll find this principle of balanced risk versus reward is not isolated to trading the markets. It shows up virtually everywhere. For example, throwing a basketball into the hoop when you are two feet away has less risk of failure and is dramatically easier to achieve than shooting from the half court line, where the risk of failure is much higher but so is the points reward.

In summary, it is important to understand that both risk and reward run together. With rare exception, larger gains require larger risk. Traders should establish a personal risk tolerance that is reasonable for their account size and trading objectives (short-term day trading, medium-term and longer-term trading). Avoid getting baited into trades with supposed superior risk/reward ratios. By observing these general guidelines the likelihood of producing consistent, positive results increases significantly.

Thank You,
Customer service
Toll Free: 888-231-4702
Outside US & Canada: 702-485-3934
"The Number 1 Futures Forecasting Service in the World!"

http://pagetrader.com

CT does not accept cash, stock, warrants, or the promise thereof,

Specifically, here is what has happened to the GLD bar list which is published each Friday at approximately 4:30 pm EST. An alert reader I communicate with [who shall remain anonymous] has been documenting the length of the published GLD bar list:

- on Friday, Sept. 25 – the list was 1,381 pages long

- on Friday, Oct. 2 – the list was 208 pages long

- on Friday, Oct. 9 – the list was 195 pages long

- then, on Wednesday, Oct. 14 – after questions were being raised about the strange machinations with the bar list in chat rooms on the internet – the list was back up to 855 pages long

Something TRULY stinks here. No explanation has been offered for the DRAMATIC swings in this list. Where gold is concerned nothing happens by accident.

How Precious is Settled in London:

Loco London clearing is the daily paper unallocated transfers between London clearers; the transfers of gold and silver only across accounts held between clearers for their own accounts and third parties; and, as mentioned earlier, the clearing out of Zürich for the platinum group metals. It avoids security risk and the cost of physical movement of bullion; has standard market practices…
[However] Both allocated and unallocated account agreements are available. There are allocations for credit purposes, bilateral credit agreements between clearers, and London good delivery….

Some short definitions: an unallocated account is an account where specific bars are not set aside, and the customer has a general entitlement to the metal. This is the most convenient, cheapest, and most commonly used method of holding metal. The allocated account, on the other hand, is an account opened when a customer requires metal to be physically segregated, and this needs a detailed list of weights and assays….

To Summarize:
- GLD gold bullion inventory is principally held in London
- I’ve already written about some large [allocated] physical transactions that were settled last week in London under VERY strange circumstances indicative of a shortage of physical gold bullion for good delivery.
- At the same time, significant irregularities appeared in the GLD bullion bar list

Conclusion:
- is the correlated timing of these unusual events a coincidence???? Could GLD inventory have been utilized to effect these physical settlements, which in turn, would have required the “sanitization” or doctoring of the GLD bar list to avoid MANY obvious, easily detectable, duplications of bar numbers?

I discussed these irregularities with a very informed source [the same one who informed me of specific [allocated] trades settled last week] and the reply I received was as follows:

“What can I tell you that you don't already know?

They are all scrambling big time since a number of large interests have demanded audits. Independent auditors are NOW descending onto the various vaults to verify, validate and certify.

They can move this as many times in circles as they like to try to fool people.

In an Asian depository they’ve found “Good Delivery” bricks that had been gutted and filled with tungsten.

Soon, there will be xxxx hitting the fan all over place.”

These circumstances suggest that a VERY REAL physical short squeeze is in progress RIGHT NOW and a gang of fraudsters from “fiat-crack-houses” [Central Banks] are attempting to finesse their losing over-sold hand in an elaborate Three-card Monty. With reports of independent physical audits now being conducted and mysterious happenings with GLD’s bar list – GLD has NEVER looked more suspect.

Goldman Sachs Magic Trick

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

CT does not accept cash, stock, warrants, or the promise thereof,
