Those have to be losers that never played sports growing up. There is NOTHING more important than winning in college sports.

If a team isn't winning, they will see diminished fan support. That will result in less revenue being generated. That will result in having to "cut costs" in the floundering program. That will ultimately make said program decline more.

The bottom line is that we have to stop the decline of the football program while people still have a minor interest. It is too hard to bring people back once they have totally lost interest. Look at the basketball program. When Huckaby was here, sell outs were common. Now they come every other year when Memphis brings their Top 10 program to Huntington.

We have to fire the bums in charge.

SNYDER, MARCUM and KOPP must go.Brianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08752603143367451273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28167861.post-28007146407512359522009-01-24T17:14:00.000-08:002009-01-24T17:14:00.000-08:00The only way to show your support ,like true Herd ...The only way to show your support ,like true Herd fans should, is to show the board and Mr.Kopp just who they should've listen to.When ticket sales drop to 10,000 instead of 18,000 I promise, they will get the picture. The board is no different than your local politicians,if you dont like it, get vocal and then vote them out, different technics, same results.Hitting the pocketbook will get the message across unfortunately.ranjamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06030398605201174877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28167861.post-56900871609452094452008-12-29T09:20:00.001-08:002008-12-29T09:20:00.001-08:00Being a true fan means supporting your team no mat...Being a true fan means supporting your team no matter what the situation. It also means wanting the best for your team, including a new coach if necessary. Most of the Synder haters I hear aren't going to attend any games next year. That is not what true fans do. True fans attend the games and cheer their team on no matter what. That is what the players need, home field advantage, noise levels rising when the other team is trying to make a first down or a goal line stand. Sitting on your lazy rear end at home doesn't do the TEAM any good. It doesn't give the school any money to improve their facilities to attract good players. It also means fewer people in the stands to root for the team at home games, which every team needs. It also meansthat home games would be less impressive to the recruits when they visit the school. Who wants to play at an empty stadium? I wouldn't. Support the Herd no matter what, attend the games, and hope for the best for your team(ie good coaching etc). If you don't attend games and don't give money you are only bringing the Herd further down.Mumaniacnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28167861.post-41975948198358239102008-12-29T09:20:00.000-08:002008-12-29T09:20:00.000-08:00Being a true fan means supporting your team no mat...Being a true fan means supporting your team no matter what the situation. It was a huge mistake to not lift Cann's redshirt last year so he would have been ready this year. My contention is that I am a true Herd fan, because I will not blindly follow or silently allow the program to be dismantled the way it is. I refuse to be a mindless follower of a coach who in my eyes has shown zero leadership for a program that has regressed in his tenure. It is not easy dealing with the negative feelings that I have toward the program, but I will not follow like one of Jim Jones' robots. I bleed green and always will, therefore, I must demand the best for the program...and Mark Snyder IS NOT IT!!!Brianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08752603143367451273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28167861.post-73909043453393571052008-12-15T19:24:00.000-08:002008-12-15T19:24:00.000-08:00Losing is hard to overcome once it starts.Sometime...Losing is hard to overcome once it starts.Sometimes good coaches need to leave to get it out of there system.Thats where Marshall. We may be on the right track, but a new coach needs to step in and take it to the next level.Coach Snyder should know this,Bob Marcum should know this.I understand why Stephen Koop doesnt understand this as he is an administator.Thank you,Mark Snyder, but if you dont quite the program will not ever get to the next level. If the program wont listen to the fans in this format, the only other voice I can speak is to stay home next year, and thats exactly what I and many I know are planning to do.Not a popular choice,Im sure, but you didnt listen to the fans who support the program,so here we are.Mike C.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28167861.post-10351536595606387902008-12-15T18:13:00.000-08:002008-12-15T18:13:00.000-08:00Appreciate the feedback.
