The patterns are very nice. I ordered the book from <a href="http://www.lacysusan.com/index.html">Lacy Susan</a>. I highly recommend this seller. She is very helpful and ships very fast. I also ordered the book <span style="font-weight:bold;"><span style="font-style:italic;">Tatted Lace</span></span> by Teiko Fujito. I tried following the instructions in <span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Advanced Fancy Pants</span> and <span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">The Complete Book of Tatting</span> by Rebecca Jones. I finally figured out how to wrap the loom by following <a href="http://needledreams.tripod.com/clunnyleaves/id6.html">pictures provided by Wally Sosa</a>. A big thanks to Wally. I also used instructions provided by <a href="http://home.netcom.com/%7Entrop/cluny/instruct.htm">Mimi Dillman<span style="font-weight: bold;"></span>.<br /></a><br />I managed to closed one leaf but still had a big loop left over with my shuttle thread (weaving thread). I would like to make a bun cover that is big enough to hold up a large bun. One experiment was a real dud, the motifs we're to small and I lost track of my count so skipped some joins. I'm having some better luck modifying a baby cap. I'm almost finished and will post pictures when ready.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/1600/TattedDaisyBM002w.jpg"><img style="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/320/TattedDaisyBM002w.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Daisy bookmark completed 6/2006. <a href="http://www.wcnet.org/%7Escwheels/page17.htm">"I found the pattern here."</a><br /><br />This was one of my first pieces that I made for hair (5/2005).<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/1600/CelticBarrettew.jpg"><img style="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/320/CelticBarrettew.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Barrette <span style="font-weight: bold;">Pattern by Rozella Linden</span>Chamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01324279329562462646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27905961.post-1151811919541622492006-07-01T23:38:00.000-04:002006-07-01T23:49:05.313-04:001st Tatting<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/1600/redrosettew.jpg"><img style="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/320/redrosettew.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />This rosette is one of the first motifs that I had completed when I first started tatting. The pattern is from an old Ann Orr book. I think that the thread is DMC Traditions crochet thread. As I've gotten more experience I discovered that I don't like crochet thread at all. For everyday tatting (experiments, practice) I use DMC Celiba. I like to use Flora threads for pieces that I tat as gifts.Chamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01324279329562462646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27905961.post-1151643026885131222006-06-30T00:41:00.000-04:002006-06-30T00:50:26.886-04:00Tatting for Hair<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/1600/SnoodB_bkground.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/200/SnoodB_bkground.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Snood <span style="font-weight: bold;">Workbasket Magazine</span><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/1600/SnoodB.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/200/SnoodB.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Snood on Doll Head.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/1600/SnoodA%20Blue.0.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/200/SnoodA%20Blue.0.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Snood from a tatting book.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/1600/snood%20French%20Comb.0.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/320/snood%20French%20Comb.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Snood <span style="font-weight: bold;">Workbasket Magazine</span><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/1600/snood%20detail.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/200/snood%20detail.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Snood Detail<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/1600/Headband.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2781/2094/320/Headband.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br />Tatted Headband. I took a tatting class at a local yarn shop and learned shuttle tatting. I enjoy collecting patterns.Chamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01324279329562462646noreply@blogger.com
