A few weeks ago, I met the Lott family out at Warner Parks in Nashville, Tenn., for a family portrait session. I have just loved watching these two little ones grow. And I don't think we could have asked for a prettier day.

Taste of Autumn Event

Last Saturday turned out to be pretty rainy and cold and, thus, not the best day for an outdoor festival, but I did have one brave soul stop by my booth for a fall fun photo. This little scarecrow was so cute that I just had to share her picture!

Limited Edition Sessions: A Taste of Autumn

This Saturday, October 17, 2009, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., I will have a booth set up at the A Taste of Autumn event in Downtown Winchester. Bring out your kiddos, grand babies, and four-legged children for a harvest fun photo! For some samples, my little model Mason posed for a couple of pics in front of the fall backdrop - and of course I snapped a few of the critters too! Halloween costumes are certainly welcome and even encouraged! Here they are -- the photos for Thomas and Traci's wedding! You may remember this couple from their engagement photos, taken at Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro. There wedding was every bit as fun and wonderful as I expected it would be. They were married at Estill Springs Nazarene Church, and the reception was held at Arnold Lakeside Club. Kelly Long and the gals at Hair Candy did a fantastic job on hair for the bridal party. The flower arrangements were created by Simple Expressions in Decherd.

I've fallen a bit behind on my blogging again. A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to shoot the Unsung Heroes benefit concert for the Multi-County Cancer Support Network (MCCSN) at the Franklin County Fair. Artists performing this year included Trey Hensley, Steve Wariner, and Randy Owen. It was such and awesome show! Here are some of my favs!

Portraits - Miss Grace Turns One!

I was so excited when my dear friend Jane e-mailed me recently to let me know that Grace was turning one (my how time flies!) and to ask me to take her one-year portraits. The last time I saw Jane and Grace was for a family portrait session last November. I was bummed that Grace's big brother, Clay, wasn't around for the portraits this time!

Jane and I met at Fannie Mae Dees "Dragon Park" in Nashville. We only got in about 30 minutes and just a couple of shots of the second outfit before Gracie fell apart. Turns out the poor little thing was coming down with a bug, so we were lucky to get in what we did!

Baby Portraits: Hunter's Newborn Session

Here it is - the last (but certainly not least) of my spring/early summer wedding blitz! I met Heather while working at Arezzo's over the last year - in fact, I seem to recall her "booking" her wedding with me during my job interview there in March of 08! Heather and Chad and their entire wedding party were a ton of fun to work with.

The wedding and reception were held at Arezzo's Italian Restaurant in Winchester. This is the second wedding I've done there this year, and it's such a fantastic venue! The food was cooked by Chef Sandy and was fantastic as always. Heather's friend Mary Anne decorated the GORGEOUS cake. The beautiful flower arrangements were designed by Spencer's Flowers.

Heather, everything was perfect! The wedding was gorgeous; you were gorgeous! Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your wedding!

On June 6, I traveled to Nashville to take wedding photos for my wonderful friends Kathleen and Steven. I met these two when I attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Green Hills, while living in Nashville. It was like a homecoming for me to see so many good friends again!

A couple of weeks ago I took head shots for Delphia Consulting employees Jennifer Wigal and Tracy King. I was so excited when Jennifer e-mailed me about head shots because both Jennifer and Tracy are long-time and dear friends of mine. We all worked together at PayMaxx (now CompuPay), and I later worked with Jennifer at United Way of Metropolitan Nashville as well.

Ladies, it was SO much fun catching up with you two! Thanks so much for hiring me do your photography! ... And Jennifer, congrats on the new job!

So without further ado, here are the photos.

And of course Jennifer had her little girl with her. (Nat's was one of the very first portrait sessions I shot. My how she's grown!)

I also just HAD to take pictures of Tracy's furbabies - Zoe (an Akbash, and the newest edition to the family) and her siamese, Sasha. She also has a third baby, Chessie (sp?), who was camera shy.

Last weekend I finally met my September bride and grooms Cannonsburgh Village in Mufreesboro, Tenn. The location was at Traci's request and couldn't have been a more perfect setting. I absolutely adored working with this couple - they had such fun personalities, and their love for each other just shined through.

Preston and Tracey's Wedding

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing Tracey and Preston's wedding. The wedding was held at Arezzo's Italian Restaurant here in Winchester.

Tracey wore the cutest cocktail length wedding dress.

Travis, Preston's best man, was granted a last-minute leave from the Navy so that he could come home for the wedding, surprising everyone. Even Preston had no clue that Travis was going to be there.

Sandy, mom of the groom and chef at Arezzo's, made the wedding cake and cooked a wonderful lunch for the reception. (And she served as wedding coordinator too.)

Tracey and Preston's wedding was the same day as the Winchester Dogwood Arts Festival, so after the reception the couple ventured downtown. These last two photos were the last ones I took of the day, and they're probably my two favorites.

Preston leaves for boot camp later this month. We wish Preston good luck and safe returns as he begins his military career, and we wish years of happiness for this wonderful couple!

Photography - Humane Society "Pictures With Santa" Benefit

I'll caution you up front - there are several pictures with this post ... but they're pictures of critters, so it's worth the long scroll! The last three weekends before Christmas, I teamed up with the Franklin County Humane Society in a fundraising event -- Pet Pictures With Santa. This is the second year of the fundraiser, and it grew leaps and bounds over last year.

We had all kinds of dogs and cats ... and even a pig and a guinea pig! Some of the animals' "people" joined them in the photo, and we even had a couple of kids without pets visit with Santa.
