They were <a href="http://www.sitesantafe.org/exhibitions/exhibitfr_future.html">exhibiting three artists</a> but I was entirely enchanted by <a href="http://www.kristalova.se/eng.index.html">Klara <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Kristalova's</span></a> ceramic work. Her work approaches the sinister side of her imagination and dreams. The ceramic pieces were very simple and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">straight forward</span> and obviously hand made. I found them incredibly inspiring and beautiful.<br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2787781150008680469-8499310233577625564?l=abbigailisraelsen.blogspot.com'/></div>Abbigailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07385450301472409213noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787781150008680469.post-37469052129784433122009-06-09T18:12:00.001-04:002009-06-09T18:14:33.170-04:00Bloomington Studio<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_03oinTEkaq8/Si7eYTnRP3I/AAAAAAAADF4/CwBKcSOJnB0/s1600-h/newstudio.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345454316898566002" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 267px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_03oinTEkaq8/Si7eYTnRP3I/AAAAAAAADF4/CwBKcSOJnB0/s400/newstudio.jpg" border="0" /></a> We just finished unpacking the last moving truck and this is how my new studio looks. I need to clear the space for visitors and also to get my house ready to sell. I thought the studio deserved a tribute. Although the studio was often messy and unorganized, it provided me with a lot of physical and emotional space to make my drawings. I am moving to a bigger studio and it has a beautiful view, but I will always love all the time I have spent working at this table.</div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2787781150008680469-2848134901942778032?l=abbigailisraelsen.blogspot.com'/></div>Abbigailhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07385450301472409213noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2787781150008680469.post-59300478464941247742009-04-05T13:07:00.005-04:002009-05-06T18:07:07.070-04:00Yarn Tricks: Collaboration with Julie Prokop<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_03oinTEkaq8/SdjljlXHxqI/AAAAAAAAC-g/gspgsI7UMbs/s1600-h/Julie-collaboration1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321255359225513634" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_03oinTEkaq8/SdjljlXHxqI/AAAAAAAAC-g/gspgsI7UMbs/s400/Julie-collaboration1.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_03oinTEkaq8/SdjlkH8uxKI/AAAAAAAAC-o/j-I2Hs3q_Jg/s1600-h/Juliecollaboration2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5321255368510063778" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 355px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_03oinTEkaq8/SdjlkH8uxKI/AAAAAAAAC-o/j-I2Hs3q_Jg/s400/Juliecollaboration2.jpg" border="0" /></a> These past few weeks I have been working on our collaborative project called Yarn Tricks with <a href="http://julieprokop.com/home.html">Julie Prokop</a>.
