These are the ones who are exploiting Medical Transcription talent to the limit. If a US client pays you 1 cent i.e. 50 ps/line for a direct contract you go ga-ga, think how beneficial it is for you to work for 50 ps/line. Even a beggar does not take 50 ps these days. The sooner you drop in 50 ps, he will give you a disgusted look as if to say "hey, I got more money than your 50 ps."

As an MT with a good amount of experience, we should have some self respect. Exploitation is happening in a huge way now because of the so-called recession, but frankly the recession is only in the mind and that bug has not hit the medical transcription industry. The people who make the biggest noise about recession are the ones who genuinely don't have work. If recession is to be believed then why do we see so many medical transcription advt. in the newspaper, the internet, the references being made, and so on.

So, my sincere advise to all you Medical Transcriptionist friends out there is to know your own potential and not undersell yourself for any company. A company when it hires analyzes you and then pays you for your work, and working at rates almost Zero will not get you anywhere.

So, beware and stop getting exploited. This field is vast. There are excellent paymasters in the market. Find them and work for the best, if not the best then at least good paymasters.Williamnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27837108.post-18936027602925185532008-12-18T01:14:00.000-08:002008-12-18T01:14:00.000-08:00It is heartening to see similar initiatives come u...It is heartening to see similar initiatives come up in the major transcription centers.
