Last night I dusted off my woks and fired up the stove to successfully stuff my friends with yummy Thai food. It's hard to narrow down a set of photos - especially when it comes to bands as you want to showcase crowd excitement, movement, and emotion. You want a viewer of a still image to feel as if they're in the thick of the action. I think the images I chose from Little Bitches' performance in February at The Red Devil Lounge do that. Before I became totally consumed with photography, I balanced my two passions – cooking and photography. My Street and Photography class had an assignment of shooting a still photo utilizing variable focal lengths of a zoom lens at a slow shutter speed. When I got home it had stopped raining and I noticed all these red, orange, and yellow maple leaves lining the walk. I picked up a handful to shoot.
