They had van issues and had to bum a ride over to the store. I said I would. 5 minutes later, they call again and told me they would just walk over to the store from the Knit, and do a stripped down version of their thing, minus the bass & drums. So we hustled the stage together and were set up in time for them to get here. By some miracle we started more or less on time. They seemed pretty harried, but they delivered on stage, and mostly did songs from their new cd. They were great, indescribable, very bright sounding, with elements of a lot of different styles weaving in and out of their music. They hung out for awhile and talked to the people who showed up to see them. Joe, their sound engineer, told me they have had van issues over the past few days, and that someone towed their equipment trailer up to the Knit for the gig. Oh, and their drummer had to leave the tour, so they hired someone to fill in. You know, the usual tour stuff. I gave them some RecordExchange tees for their time, and they headed back to the Knit. Go see them open for Les Claypool tonight if you can!

Here are a few photos I took

View all
Get your own

Record Exchange Managerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17415410972125135462noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2727111603839350553.post-81867153392907380372009-06-22T14:50:00.001-06:002009-06-22T14:51:07.017-06:00What We've Been Listening ToHere's a list of what we've been listening to in the store for the last couple weeks...
