Today was Bilal's cardiology appointment. Such a blessing that it went so well. He was more anxious than he usually is, probably because he understood more in some ways, but didn't know what to expect in others. Today was the second annual Trussville Freedom Celebration, on the Mall, just a short walk away from our house. Bilal climbed out of crib at nap time today. The only one of my three kids who has ever done it. We lost Bubbles today. Bubbles was Safa's betta fish that she owned for one year. He had been acting poorly off and on for a couple of weeks, then came back to his normal self for several days, eating well and swimming around. But he got sick last night again, and now he's dead. The weather has been great these past two days. Finally no rain, and still tolerable temperatures. As Bilal likes to put it, "It's a bootiful day, Mama".
