Talking about her break-up with Elesh Parujanwala, the winner of her swayamvar, Rakhi says, "Elesh confessed that he took part in the swayamvar only to know me as a person and not to marry me. He told me that he wanted to marry a girl from London. He had expected that he would be voted out in a few episodes but he stayed on and we got engaged. I'm glad that we called it quits now before rather than after marriage."

Ironically, Rakhi is set to be a judge on the grand finale of Star TV's Perfect Bride next week, giving the girls advice on how to behave! "Yes, I will be there for the Grand Finale of Perfect Bride," she confirms, "My main intention in going there is to give suggestions to the Kanyas (brides), because I don't want them to repeat the same mistake that I committed, by choosing Elesh Parujanwala as my life partner."

Actress Shamita Shetty, who has voluntarily opted out of TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, is absolutely elated about her elder sister and Bollywood Actress Shilpa Shetty marrying London-based businessman Raj Kundra Nov 22 of this year and says to the media she also wants a ‘perfect man’ like her brother-in-law to-be.

In an interview, Shamita says”Raj is just so absolutely wonderful. He is so calm, intelligent and good-looking. There could be no one better than him for Shilpa. He is just so perfect. I also want a man like him in my life.”

The 29-year-old bollywood actress was one of the participant in the third season of TV channel Colors’ reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ and came to know of Shilpa’s engagement only a week back. She has chosen to take a voluntary exit from the reality show in order to stay with her sister for her very last few days at home. This special episode featuring Shamita Shetty will be aired Saturday.

Shamita said: ‘It feels fantastic to be out. I am just so excited about Shilpa’s wedding. Oh my god! She is getting married. I want to go home, cry, hug and chat with her. She has sent me a picture of her engagement ring on my Blackberry but it’s very hazy. So can’t wait to see that.

‘We tell each other everything, so I know how difficult it must have been for her to get engaged without me around. But since I got to know about her wedding date, I wanted to be with her no matter what. Family definitely comes first for me.’

Shamita was also worried about the clothes she would wear for the wedding functions, but to her surprise, her elder sister had already taken care of it all.

‘I was so worried about who will stitch my clothes within 10 days and how I will manage it all. But I just spoke to Shilpa and she said she has organised a few options for me. So I’m very happy that I don’t have to start planning from scratch,’ she said.

Shamita says her respect for Shilpa, who won ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, the international version of the show in 2007 after facing racist remarks, has risen by leaps and bounds after her stint in ‘Bigg Boss’.

‘I have begun to respect Shilpa so much more. I haven’t even faced 50 percent of what she must have faced. She was in a different country, with people from different cultures – it must have been hugely different. I can’t even imagine how she went through all that,’ she said.

As for her own stay in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, Shamita said: ‘It feels great and fantastic that I wasn’t asked to leave. But I felt sad that I had to leave the house. My stay was pretty okay – but I didn’t have an option. I had to leave for Shilpa’s wedding.’

She is also happy about getting three ‘really good friends’ in the form of Tanaaz Currim, Bakhtiyaar Irani and Aditi Govitrikar. But when asked to name the most conniving contestant, she said diplomatically: ‘I won’t take any names and I don’t want to be judgmental.’

‘Bigg Boss’ has 13 celebrities locked up inside a secluded house for 84 days and kept under constant camera surveillance without any contact with the outside world.

One of the much awaited Bollywood movie of this year which is slated to release on 25th December is ‘3 idiots‘. The movie stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi and Madhavan. The threesome Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and Madhavan was recently spotted in Delhi promoting “Three Idiots“.

However, we could not find Kareena Kapoor at the event. Aamir interacted with the media and unveiled many of his childhood memories.

Your looks belie your age!
Physically, I feel 25-26. But I have no problems in accepting that I’m 44. In fact, if I look good, then the media writes that I’ve done plastic surgery. Honestly, if I sleep well, then I look good. Last night I slept well.

This has been a year of mixed fortunes…
I enjoyed Season II with my cricket team. I was a bit disappointed when we didn’t fare well, but I know we’ll bounce back. I didn’t have film releases with the exception of Billu which was special for me. I got a honourary doctorate from the University of Bedfordshire, won a couple of other honours. My Name is Khanwill come in February 2010. I had my shoulder surgery that kept me out of action now I’m on the road to recovery. I spent quality time with my kids. I’m finishing my book 20 Years Of A Decade. It was an unfortunate physical year but a good emotional one.

Are there any specific thoughts on growing older?
Yes, I have been constantly thinking about what I can give back to people, to society. Allah has been kind to me, He has given me so much. I have just six to seven good friends in the industry. But the media is my friend. You are the ones who remind me of my birthday at least four-five days in advance. You have given me so much love, so has my audience. Now I want to do something in return. I want to bring a smile to the faces of youngsters. I don’t want to start an NGO, but I do wish to do something for the cause of the girl child… The feeling of wanting to give is stronger now than it has been. I think of life as work. I want to introspect as to which direction I should take my life in. I want to do something to save the environment. Honestly, I haven’t done my bit yet but I will start now.

What’s next as far as films go?
RA1. It is something I’m kicked about. It’s a film that children are going to love. It will have action, special effects and a super hero.

Did you receive any special gifts?
Yeah, Karan Johar gave me a lap top bag and a pair of very expensive shoes. My children are making something for me that will come over the weekend. Parmeshwar Godrej sent me a gift. She does that each year. One of my fans has bought me a piece of land on the moon, one has bought me land in Scotland. I’m accepting gifts till this weekend, so all of you who wish to give me something can do so till Sunday.

Aamir Khan's Friction With 3 Idiots’ Director Rajkumar Hirani

Buzz is that a friction has developed between actor Aamir Khan and his director Rajkumar Hirani over the importance given to Sharman Joshi’s character in 3 Idiots. The film is about to release in two months and it has turned out that Sharman has stole the limelight even after having the veteran Aamir in it. So now all that Aamir wants is the proper balance of all the characters in the film. He demands the director that he should work on it on the edit table.

However some sources to the actor’s defense say that there is no such thing. The source said, “It just happened. Aamir has no problem being part of an ensemble cast, or even playing a secondary part. If you remember Aamir made an entry in his production Taare Zameen Par at intermission point. Even in RDB, Siddharth had the most powerful role.”

So why is this buzz? The sources added, “Sharman’s role and performance have turned to be quite different from the way Aamir had perceived it. Mind you, he has no problems with Sharman walking away withthe film.” No one knows how things went in favor of the young to industry but talented Sharman.

But, Raju, the director doesn’t feel that there is any friction between him and Aamir, to who he takes on high. “Raju is a peace loving man. He doesn’t want friction under any circumstance. And certainly not with Aamir whom he respects and holds in the greatest esteem. But we can’t really blame any of the three parties, Aamir, Sharman or the director for the way things have turned out,” addedthe source.
